[Q] Problem accessing the bootloader. - Wildfire General

Hello,
i'm trying to access the bootloader in my wildfire, i'm keeping pushed the return button during the boot but nothing happens, and it just goes with the normal booting process. am i doing something wrong ?
the phone is not rooted and it is updated to the latest OTA.
Thanks in advance.

return button during boot? . im pretty sure your device has to be off, then you hold down the trackpad and press power button and it boots into bootloader.

My phone loads right into bootloader not into android

My phone wont load into android for some reason. It boots right into the boot loader. I'm not rooted and S-on is on... Someone help me.
have you tried choosing fastboot and from there reboot? use vol keys and power button to navigate. is your volume button stuck down? that could also be causing this problem.
yes, then it just reboots back to the bootloader
try clear storage? you'll be wiped but its worth getting it booted up.

Can't boot to bootloader

I recently got the update for 4.4 notification, clicked it but then the installation froze on a picture of android with an exclamation in his belly.
After that I could no longer boot to bootloader or recovery.
I tried fastboot but I cant not install the drivers as I cant boot to bootloader.
So I tried NRT and managed to get my recovery back (TWRP), but still no bootloader.
I have the option to return to stock on NRT but I am afraid it will fail and brick my N7.
I have SuperSU, flashify and TWRP apps running now with TWRP recovery also bootable.
How can I get my bootloader back?

Hi, Siddy1200...
If you had no bootloader... nothing would work... at all.
The bootloader underpins everything you do with your Nexus 7. Nothing happens without one... in which case , you'd be effectively HARDBRICKED.
The fact that stuff is working indicates that your bootloader is fine.
To access the bootloader manually... shut down the Nexus 7 completely.
Press and hold the VOL DOWN button...
Whilst holding, press the POWER ON button, for around 5-10 seconds...
You should now boot into the bootloader.
This key press sequence should also work if you CAN'T shut down the Nexus 7 normally... for example, if you're bootlooping. I've had a few scary moments myself in the past, and the VOL DOWN+hold, POWER ON sequence has always thrown me back into the bootloader...

Thanks for the reply Greg.
I can't boot to boot loader, that means when I power on with vol- pressed, then select boot loader and press power , it doesn't work. The screen flashes for a second and it is back to the previous screen to where I can choose restart, recovery, boot loader, etc.
This also happened with recovery but I fixed it, now I'm trying to fix the bootloader

Apologies, Siddy1200... but I'm a little confused... based upon my reading of your post... I think you're already in the bootloader!!.
"...it is back to the previous screen to where I can choose restart, recovery, boot loader,etc..."
The bootloader features a green android, lying on its back, with it's belly open - some really tiny text at the lower left hand side of the screen giving details about the current bootloader version and it's lock state. At the upper right hand side of the screen, adjacent to the power button, are selectable options via the POWER BUTTON, which can be cycled through with the VOL BUTTONS... and these options are START, RESTART BOOTLOADER, RECOVERY MODE, POWER OFF... and then START again.
Somewhat similar to your above quoted description.
Selecting RESTART BOOTLOADER will just bring you back to where you already are... ie., the BOOTLOADER.
Also, if you can't access the bootloader, how are you managing to boot into TWRP?... as this is normally done via the bootloader... ie, by selecting the RECOVERY MODE option.

Thanks for your persistence Greg, I think I was confused as what the bootloader actually is, now I can see I am already in bootloader :silly:
I will return to stock with NRT and try the 4.4 update now.

Update to marshmallow failed

I'm stock 5.1.1, unrooted but bootloader unlocked. Tried updating with ota but ran through the stock recovery Android booted and it said update failed. Do i have to relock the bootloader? Again, im NOT rooted.

Also, when I tried booting into recovery manually, after the bootloader unlocked warning screen came up, it went to what was supposed to be there stck recovery but instead was the dead (lying down) Android with this words "No Command" over him. That's all, no other anything. I Powered off and booted back into Android.
BTW, got the phone second hand....
Download 6.0 and flash in fastboot.
You can also use my thread, but remember, there provided files are for EU version of Moto X Style. If you are using another device, steps will remain the same, but you will need files for your device!
Thread is found here.

The dead Android is stock recovery. Hold the power button then tap the vol + button. That will take you into the recovery menu.
From LenoMoto:
Code:
With the phone powered off, press and hold the Volume Down button and the Power button at the same time until the device turns on.
Press the Volume Down button to highlight "Recovery mode"
Press the Power button to restart into Recovery mode.
You'll see an image of an Android robot with a red exclamation mark.
While holding down the Power button, press the Volume Up button.

currently im waiting for it to drain and ill see what happens
Hello. Long press POWER to reboot and then release and quickly long press both VOL+ and VOL- simultaneously. It should appear an update screen with a failed message and –the most important thing– a restart button at the bottom. Press it.
Now the phone should start Android normally...

I think i know what i did wrong.
it was a old version of twrp i think. so it couldn't boot into it. so i had wait for it to drain and then boot it up again. I got trwp working now!
Hi! I have the same problem. The phone was drained but when i charge It again It tries to start normally, but then starts trying ti enter into recovery again.
so who did you solve It exactly?
what buttons did you pushed when the phone starts again?
Thani you
For anyone pretty much, who has ****ed up his Huawei P9:
I got to the state where I could only enter Fastboot mode (Press vol- and connect power cable). When I tried to start the phone / go into recovery it would only display the "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" Message. My mistake was to relock the bootloader in an attempt to get the recovery to work.
I looked for hours for the answer, here is what worked for me:
follow this tutorial (the "update firmware" part)
German
English
But with real precision, every step.
If you have a european unbranded L09 you should be fine using the firmware you can find on this site:
https://thedroidguru.com/download-install-huawei-p9-b394-nougat-update-europe/
if not you gotta find the full firmware (3 files!!) yourself - good luck!
If you only want to go back to stock you should be fine afterwards.
If you want to install twrp for root/custom rom/... follow these steps after installing twrp with the tool:
Upon flashing TWRP, FIRST THING YOU MUST DO is rebooting to TWRP. If you don't do that, stock Recovery will ovewrite TWRP.
Find instructions in the TWRP threads how to enforce immediate booting to TWRP, upon you flashed it:
-Type on the PC: fastboot reboot -but don't press Enter yet.
-Press and keep pressing Vol+ and Power buttons together on the phone
-Press Enter on the PC and then immediately unplug USB cabel.
-When phone shows Booting, release Power but keep pressing Vol+. button
Hope this helps, I don't take responsability for anything, happy flashing!

HTC U Ultra stuck in reboot. HELP!!!

Hey guys,
So here it goes. Phone was getting really slow, so I did a factory reset on it. Worked pretty fine for a few days and then suddenly yesterday phone started freezing while starting. Just get to see the HTC Logo but thats it. I have not unlocked the bootloader since I never felt the need to root my phone.
I have absolutely ZERO experience in rooting a phone or flashing the ROM. Please provide me a dummy's guide to fix the darn thing and get it running back up.
P.S:- I have the 4GB/64GB version

hi,
press and hold volume down + power key until the phone start into fastboot mode
then chose with volume up/down the "reboot to bootloader" press power button, then a white screen with colorfull font appers
then chose "boot recovery mode" in the same way as before and press power button, then a screen with a red exclamtion mark appears,
now press and hold power button + press volume up key several times, a screen appers,
now chose "WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET" and press power key,
after this has finished maybe there is a reboot option, chose it and press power button
this should bring your phone back to life
if not, or your phone makes noise or huanging, press and hold volume down + power key until the phone goes into fastboot there you can power down
if your phone does not boot normal then your phone need to send into service...
