Actually I don't thin kyou can do that since the Swype on the Droid 2 is some how coded to work with only Droid 2, so you have yo pull it from the system dump to get it to work properly

Or you could sign up for the beta, and when they have a new version just install it. That's what I do once I was accepted. I am running a much more recent version than what is on the D2. You just have to remove the swype library form your lib folder before you install the beta.

Hey... you should prolly update to zapx 2.1 since rc just stands for release candidate... I think... so it might have some bugs... let me find the dev's website cuz I can't think of it and maybe you can email him to send you the Verizon .apk

That I do not know honestly...did you do a backup before you flashed the rom? If so restore that one with the app you want on it and download titanium backup and run a backup of all the apps... flash the new rom, download titanium backup from the market and restore the apps
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
I did that and it could not do that App thanks again tho

Here's some info. It is not from the same rom but I'll bet it is the exact same problem...
Code:
Yes, you can download the VVM app, but it will not run unless you change the build.prop file as noted above. You will get a message saying that VVM is installed on your device, please uninstall the downloaded app.
To run the VVM app from the market, you must edit the build prop file:
Change:
ro.HorizontalVVM=True
To:
ro.HorizontalVVM=false
Once you edit the file, reboot and VVM will launch.
here's the link to the discusion...

TBH .340 System Update.zip run again?

I'm wondering if the TBH .340 System update.zip can be run again if you are already on .340. I'm having trouble with my nandroid of my stock setup and I'd like to skip some quality time with RSD Lite if I can.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
Yes it can but if you have any settings that require root you may need to reconfigure them.

What kind of settings are you referring to?
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
So does this file do anything different than a regular install zip for a rom?
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
No just installs an odexed blank system. I am meaning if you manually deodexed or themed or changed you're build.prop for different davlik cache value or proximity delay. You will also have to re-root and bootstrap.

Got it thanks.

Liberty 3 v2.0 for d2

does anyone have the liberty3 rom for the droid 2. not the global. i cant seem to find a working link. not that we have root again i would like to flash over to liberty
Does the Liberty toolbox in the play store not work?
i dont know havent tried it. thanks for the idea. lol new to the d2. and will it work on the r2d2
The liberty toolbox only works if you are using the liberty rom already. Does anyone have the rom and are willing to post it up. And do you know if it will work on the new update?

Flashed a friends .621 phone and they had same issue. Earlier updates wifi was fine. May be a liberty specific issue.
