Hi all,
Ive found something strange, new version on Audio_Manager_Engine 2_0_20173725_h does not create album arts from mp3 files, this version Audio_Manager_Engine 2_0_20113121_h always make htc_albumname.jpg files so new mp3 have covers in manila. Anyone knows how to make new version works properly, v2017 also supports excluding folders so it will not scan all folders on sd card, old one does not have this feature.
Regards
Billy

Help with WMP 10 and Skins
I've downloaded a skin posted on the forum, G.AMP and put it in this folder:
\Program Files\Windows Media Player\G.amp~WMP
When you go into Windows Media Player 10 it does not find the skin.
I have WM 2005 and WMP 10 and an XDA Exec 3G.
Any help much appreciated, Declan.
I'm sure I just put mine in My Documents and it found it.

I have tryed for ages to change the skin in media player but there is no way ive found.
i did notice that there is a *192.bmp file in the windows directory (windows\) that if you open looks just like the default skin. if i rename the default(portrait).skn file in the \Program files\media player\ folder then media player wont start in portrait mode so its definutly pulling the skin from there but all the different ways i put the skin files i have it just wont work, not even if i rename then the default(portrait) will it work.
Has anyone got this to work?
im just trying to keep this post alive!, i still cant manage to get this to work.
Also i found a way to display album art, just copy the picture of the album into the folder of the album and change the name to "Folder.jpg", now whenever a song is played from the folder WMP will show the picture
I installed the HTC album where we can select the folder. It's working fine for the picture but not for my video. I cannot see any video using using this SW. I copied the video on the memory card and also on the HTC. No changes ... still no video.
A way to solve this?
Vincent
I got it working, but not with HTCAlbum. See my post here.
another answer to find video on sd (my videos folder) with HTCalbum???
I need help
thank you
I think the HTCalbum only shows video that's mp4 och 3gp. So if you convert it to mp4 and place it under \Storage card\DCIM\100MEDIA\ you will be able to find your videos. It's working for me.
found a fix
very easy
before installation, copy the htcalbum.exe file into htcalbum_old.exe (or any other name)
install app
modify the reg hklm soft htc biotouch minihub app 1_3 path to the old file.
sorry for the language but it's a bit late and i'm verry sleepy.
enjoy.
Please clarify above
if htc album is already installed, what are we supposed to do? Mine came with Dutty's V1 Diamond ROM.

Hi.
Did you noticed any wrong thumbnails when you use the media panel , in the album format?
Try this:
sd\DCIM\img0001.jpeg
sd\DCIM\img0002.jpeg
sd\DCIM\New Folder\img0001.jpeg
sd\DCIM\New Folder\img0002.jpeg
the img0001.jpeg in the DCIM folder will be displayed with the thumbmails of the new folder img0001.jpeg.
i'm using french version of the R2.
Do you know any way to solve this, excepted to rename all pictures .
Thanks you.
David.
Hi guys,
Some time ago, when I used a stock ROM and older cooked ones, I could just copy WMA files to Windows directory and they were visible in Alarm manager. I.e. those files were displayed in a list of all available alarm sounds and I could select them.
Now this way doesn't work (at least in some ROMs I tried). Only ROM's preloaded alarms can be used.
There is no such a problem with other rings (they can be copied either to Windows or My Ringtones and it works fine).
So, the question is how to do it.
Can anybody assist me in that?
Thanks in advance.

GD! I should think about it! Thanks!
I want to prepare a few playlist, and i want to add them to my music tab player of the htc sense. so where should i put the playsit files>????
hey,
i think i have some informations for you (wrote this to a similar post):
... the playlists (created in manila music tab directly) are stored in this file:
"Device\Application Data\HTC\AudioManager_Eng\AudioManager_Eng.vol"
You can rename the file (as backup) and SoftReset your HD2. The playlist is deleted too.
!!! Be careful if you delete this file ... your music information and created playlists will be ... gone with the wind !!!
Own playlists can be stored in:
" \Application Data\HTC\AudioManager_Eng\playlists"
...[*.pls-files / *.wpl or *.asx / i donĀ“t know if *.m3u is possible too]...
They will be "activated" after SoftReset the device.
I hope this will help you.
greetings,
KenShiro
Thanks for the info, unfortunatelly, when i open the playlists they all are shown as empty and they actually are not. I tried with m3u and asx.

Same here.
If i create a playlist in manilla its shows and plays OK.
If i transfer a playlist from the pc the show in the list but EMPTY.
What playslist files the manilla reads ????
Anyone on this ???
And if i backup the AudioManager_Eng.vol i have my playlist in tack after flash ????
when you create a playlist on your pc it also contains information as to where the music should be played from.. etc. "D:\User\Music\my song.mp3".. and since there are no such folder in your phone, the playlist will not find the song (just as it will not if you move the song after you created the playlist on your computer to another folder, etc. "D:\User\Music\Album\my song.mp3"..)
dont know how to solve it though.
