Bluetooth issues please read - EVO 4G General

I'm having so many issues with my plantronics q2. It's constantly disconnecting on me all the time a lot of times its right when the call comes or when you try to make a call. It happens all the time when I'm trying to listen to music to my Bluetooth. I've already traded it once for to blueant t1 then I went to the q2 I have to say I'm having more problems with the q2 though. Is it the phone do I need to demand a new phone I've heard its an Android problem heard its an evo problem I've heard it a blueant issue. Can somebody that has an suggestions or hopefully somebody that is having the same problem as me and have a fix for it please please let me know I'm going CRAZY

I'm sorry I'm using baked snacks currently but I've tried omj and also fresh same problems. Currently using I believe baked kernel.

Im using the blueant t1. I would get the same issues with audio being choppy and losing connection. It is totally kernel related. Thus far my best success has been with kings bfs# 6. I still get some chop here and there but I find that if I have the headset on for a few minutes before listening to music it helps out a bit. Haven't had any issues at all using it for phone calls.

Awesome man I will try the king #6 and see if it fixes my problem thank you so much

[Q] Phone earpiece popping on BT after a call

When I'm on Bluetooth and I get off the phone from a call, I can hear the earpiece making a pop sound continually and at seemingly random intervals. If I turn the earpiece off and shut down bluetooth on the phone it quits. I can turn BT back on and never hear it again until I get off a call. It does not do this when or after streaming audio from Pandora etc.
I'm on Viper ROM trinity 3.0.3
I have Odin'd the DK28 modem etc.
Basically, I'm on DK28 and I've had this dilemma w/ other ROMs so I'm wondering if it's a froyo problem or something else ?
I have been experiencing this for a while myself. Sometimes I am able to get it to stop by placing another phone call and switching it back to the handset. I've never been able to make it stop by shutting down BT, though... The only reliable way I've made it stop is a reboot.
I just had someone else test for me. He was running a modified EB13 and he doesn't have the issue. So, I'm just sitting back and waiting for Viper on EB13.

I've had this issue ever since dk28. I also have and issue with a2dp capable headsets losing sync or only syncing the phone profile. :-(

I can confirm this. Samsung modus 3500 a2dp headset on Viper ROM. Sound popping after using.
This happens to me on a Nexus S 4G.
Always happens here, I just reboot when I am done with bluetooth
Yep, this was an issue I routed through the tech forums, months ago.. Got an investigation started, but no reply or resolution before I quit. Almost every epic i've ever had in my hands, did this.

[Q] Buzzing noise?

Has anyone else noticed a buzzing or popping sound coming from their Epic? It doesn't do it durring a call, its while its charging form my computer or even just sitting there on the table. At first I thought it had to do with the ROM I was running (Viper), but when EB13 was released, I flashed back to stock and still had the same problem.
At the moment I am rooted with CWM installed, but otherwise still stock. Have I missed a patch for this, do I have a bad phone or do I just need to try something else?
I don't hear a buzzing noise from my.phone. sorry
Sent From My Evo Killer!
I have had this happen from time to time. It was totally random. It was a slight popping sound. The first time it happened I thought I ruined my Epic by rooting and flashing a custom ROM but I rebooted and it was gone.

Happens to me sometimes. It can get annoying... Anyone knowledgeable that can help would be appreciated.

At least I know Im not alone in this now...glad to hear it...now if someone can tell me the cause and a solution I will be extatic!
Just to clairify, this is totally random as far as I can tell. It will go days without making any sounds and then it will come back with a vengence and make noise for hours.
I too would like a dev to chime in with a possible answer. I don't know if its app related, kernal related, etc. It would be nice to be able to narrow it down somehow. The fact that it seems so random is what worries me. I mean am I going to be using my phone some day and have a big pop and have it blow up on me? Sounds extreme but...
UFE (Unidentified Flying Epic)
this happens to me when i'm streaming over bluetooth, then take a call then end the call.
After this, the audio will not route properly and the phone's earpiece will sometimes pop and/or buzz randomly.
no fix for it yet. showed up for me on DK28 and it's been bugging me since.
Yup, a2dp is completely borked in froyo.

Ive had this problem pop up on me randomly 2 times... thought I broke my speaker or something. Nothing a reboot couldn't fix.

Major EF02 improvements from EE03.

- Smoothness
- gps works
- radio works flawlessly (I'm using ec05 modem.)
- when unplugging aux cable while playing music w/ stock music player, it stops music.
- LED notification light is working now.
- Removal of Clear level 2 RAM so newbies don't break anything.
Netflix IS working!

Op did you try the EF02 or EF10 Modem?
Audio has been completely scratch/stutter free, even with voodoo audio on so far. That alone makes me love this update.

Might the bluetooth routing bugs (where all audio comes out of the ear speaker after disconnecting) be fixed too?
But THAT is wonderful news and what I was hoping for. I have had way too much trouble making my Epic a reliable media player which can multitask, and it's Touchwiz bugs taking most of the blame for the stuttering, in my experience. Has the stock music player changed at all? They did away with some features from the Eclair one which were actually better, which I didn't appreciate...

Looks like it's the same one as Froyo. I use Poweramp so rarely ever touch the stock player.

Thanks. Now can you or someone else test the bluetooth routing? (To test, play something through stereo BT, then switch to voice headset mode on another device by placing or taking a call, then see after you disconnect both devices if media audio is routed incorrectly through the phone ear speaker like it is in Froyo.)

Audio is routed correctly. I just played Pandora in my car over Bluetooth for about 30 min, placed a couple of calls over Bluetooth, and then placed a call when I got home. All worked great!
Anyone else notice that ram usage is crazy high? Mine is at 285mn

Has anyone tested to see if the FM radio works with EF02?
There were reports of some people had it working under EE03.

Was that with the Ec05 modem or the ef02 modem? I get fairly bad battery drain while at work. From the reports that I've heard, it sounds like the ef02 modem has greatly increased signal strength.

Jawbone ERA and EVO 4G

Hi,
I have searched for bluetooth and did not come up with anything useful. I am using a Jawbone ERA which used to work pretty well. But, recently the people I call have been complaining so much about the voice quality that I have to switch to the handset and turn the bluetooth off. They say that the voice keeps getting choppy, dropping off all together. I was wondering if anyone else is having similar issues with Jawbone in particular or any other bluetooth headset that they are using. I think the problem is probably with the handset's bluetooth stack updated with the GB. This has been such a bugged release that Sprint/HTC shouldn't have even bothered subjecting the users to this load of crap. Anyway, would appreciate if any one can help with this issue. Thanks.
Jawbone does the same thing from time to time but I'm running MIUI so I don't think the update has much to do with it

My jawbone icon works fine other than it losing connectivity more than I like.
So not much I can do I guess. I've emailed both HTC and Jawbone let's see what I hear back from them.

I use the jawbone icon on Mikg, among others. I have not had any problems with it. I did use stock rom for a few days when the gingerbread release came out. I don't recall any issues then either.
What have you done to troubleshoot? Have you unpaired and then paired the bluetooth device again? Have you done a factory restore to see if that fixes it?
I haven't done much yet. I will try the repairing. I am also trying it out with the noise assassin turned off, but haven't had a chance yet to test that much. In a brief conversation, the drop off went away after turning off the noise assassin. But, I'll need more testing to confirm that noise assassin is the culprit. A2DP is turned off too. I might try turning that back on as well. Now, that I think about it the problem probably starting occurring after I turned off the A2DP but I can't recall exactly. Thanks for the suggestions.
A2DP seems to have been the culprit. After turning that back on the voice quality seems to have gotten better.

I have the ERA also and the EVO4g, and no problems here. I'm on Synergy.
Yeah so far turning the A2DP and noise assassin back on has solved the problem. You could try it on your end by turning them off one by one and
see if that reproduces the problem.

[BUG] IceColdInsomnia - 6.2 AOKP and 7.0 For MT4G

Hello all.
Since I am still a new user here, I cannot post in blackwing182's appropriate thread about this ROM.
I wanted to report a bug regarding headphones; when headphones are plugged in, the slightest movement of the cord or touching the jack itself results in small amounts of static that I can hear that are very loud to the person I am talking to. If this goes on for too long, the other person will no longer be able to hear me. Hanging up and calling them back is a temporary, but annoying solution to this problem.
I performed a full wipe and installed v7.0 of the ROM. I am on Android version v4.04 and running Kernel v2.6.35.14-CollectiveACE-BFS-v0.1.5.
If anyone can offer a solution to this microphone problem, I would be grateful. This ROM is perfect otherwise, but since I speak for hours at a time using a headset, fixing this problem is important to me.
Thank you.

It has fixed in 7.0
But v7.0 is the version I downloaded.
It didn't happen to me on ver. 6.2 and I haven't tried headphones on 7.0 yet. This could be a deal-breaker for me
I used my headphones yesterday. Moved around plenty and didn't have any issues. Might it be your headphones?

No issues with version 7.0 either. Must be your headphones.
Think its your headphones bro. Stopped using icecold two weeks ago and never had the issue.
