Somebody tried to install the new market?http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=868767
Would be nice, if somebody try. I cant get it worked. Apk install fails und zip too.
just tried, the normal apk, and the update.zip
( com.android.vending_2.2.6.apk ) and ( Vending-2.2.6-signed-testkeys.update.zip )
doesnt work for me :/
No luck there either, force closes everytime no matter how installed (update, install, plain apk replace...). Logcat says the app is lacking GAPPS access permission (permission to access gapps account). Guess it's some API mismatch?
it supposedly works when updated ->2.1.2 -> 2.2.6. Haven't tried yet...
i succeded to run it on my milestone with CM6.1..but only for a few seconds. i cleared the data on old market app, then wiped the cache and put the new market as Vending.apk in \system\app. it started and i had some seconds to try it out..then it FC'd and did not start anymore. nice GUI tho! hope someone will fix it soon.

same thing happened to me, tried both the zip and the apk and NO LUCK
i managed to install it but then i get continously force closes and cannot get into the market anymore!
Your best bet is to wipe pretty much everything and to inject is straight away.
Or just wait a week or so.
I used appbrain to uninstall the Market update, then I successfully installed an app before market auto-updated and resumed its regular force close programming.
Crappy workaround, but it gets the job done.
Using TelusLite v4

Upon further testing, the trick is to open up the newly installed app before market updates. I do this by keeping the notification window open while the app downloads, and then clicking on the app as soon as it is finished downloading. Soon after, market will auto update and forceclose.
Reminds me of the old nintendo timing.
Sent from my Milestone using XDA App
just got the new market without using that apk... got it from normal updates...
its UUGGLLLYYYY... i hate it.
looks like a wanna-be xBox live dashboard.
downloads are slow as hell too... i want my old market back!

what rom are u using? imm running cm6 and i still have the old market
I saw somewhere a market that was either new or themed. It had a dark grey theme...not the typical white and green.
Does anyone know anything about this? Is this the NEW market?
Is there a way to theme the market?
Can anyone post old market .apk? I installed the new one and i'm not able to enter into apps and install/update them. Everytime I have force closes.
And didn't backuped the old one so i can't restore it.
I'd be glad if anyone upload it.
#EDIT
Got it. If anyone have the same problem as me:
-uninstall new market via app manager
-download Vending.apk
-put it to the system/app and install

Telus Milestone on AT&T, running TelusLite v5
try this:
Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Market
Hit force stop, then clear cache. Now hit home, menu, then load your market... should get the new one once loaded. Not sure if this works for everyone, but thats how i did mine.

what can i do??!! help me please
Uninstall it and then download it again from the Market. I think you'll need something with root privileges, like Titanium Backup, to uninstall it.
Just out of curiosity, have you literally just flashed the ROM and immediately YouTube didn't work, or have you had the ROM for a while? I only ask because I flashed that same ROM this morning and YouTube works fine for me.
Edit: I just saw your other thread stating that Market doesn't work for you. Bear with me a few minutes and I'll post the YouTube apk from my phone.

I don't think you're going to have much luck, in that case. You can try this anyway, just in case it is an app issue.
You'll need the Android SDK installed on your PC, since you can't access the Market and download apps for moving files. With the SDK comes a debugging tool, DDMS, that gives you file access to the device memory. You can the use that to copy files to and from the phone. (There's also a command-line app that you can use, but the debug tool does just the same job and is easier.)
If you want to go down this route, get the SDK installed and let me know when that's done - I'll explain the rest then.
Otherwise, you could just download this apk and run it - see what happens!
Hi all,
Today I flashed a new rom.
After flashing and setup I noticed that the phone-market began to install all Apps I ever had installed - on one hand a nice thing but some of them are not needed and I alreday deleted them from the phone days before....
How can I edit this? Is there a fuction in zune?

You can just uninstall them.
And if that does not work you might want to check into Zune, but most apps are linked to your Live ID and not to zune.
checking Live ID out is worth the while as well hope I gave you some tips.
Thats what I did long before... uninstalled the apps.
In Zune I can't finde a menu like my apps... The same with the live ID...
This has never happened for me, did you do anything special to get it working?
Nooo I don't think so...
First Rom was the Moonlight and now I installed Xbmod.
Activation by using a activation key from MS installing apps via Market and other XAP's by using Application deployment from the SDK....
Any apps you have downloaded from Zune will auto install for you. Any apps you have downloaded form the market place on your phone will not auto install for you.
At the moment you can not remove the apps from the Zune list, hopefully this will be added to a later version of Zune soon.
Basically i installed the the RAFDROID HD 4.0.2 onto my HD2, everything is working perfectly fine except for the marketplace. I open it up and click on any app, click okay for the permissions and click on the install button, the apps download, but gets stuck on the installing.... part and wont go away. Ive restarted the phone, ive searched around to see if anyone has had the same problem, but have come up short.
I get the same thing
i've got the same problem.
i can't install apps either. and i love the rom but without my apps i'll have to go back. any help would be appreciated
what version of the hd2 are you using?
i am assuming you have an ext partition on your sd card if you have a eu device
i have the same. i can´t install any app of the market and when i try to download an app with the web browser.
it´s only downloading and then it says "installing" but nothing happens.
is there any update to fix is?
Hi all,
After upgrading to 4.4 some of my apps appear to be greyed out and when I click on it it says application not installed and takes me straight to the app store, heres the tricky part after I install the app it works however once I reboot my phone thats when the problem occurs and I can install but if I reboot yet again it repeats itself...

Looks like they are on external sd card and there is a read/write issue with some apps here.
If you are rooted there is a fix. Most custom roms include the fix though if you search you will find how to do it yourself.
Otherwise you will need to wait until the apps are updated and write to different partitiion
Hey not-i im on crash rom v6 and I was on his thread and another user installed a few of the apps and reported no probs, I hope it has to do with the apps not my at the least, thanks bro for ur help....
