Hi,
I dropped my sister phone last night and cracked the screen, The touch is still working but the outer screen it cracked. Not sure how to proceed. Does anyone have the part code or know of a supplier of them?
Thanks! I need to fix as my sister is a pit upset
same-thing happened to my phone about a month ago. I bought the digitizer from ebay and replaced it.
Part you need is
Touch Screen Digitizer for HTC wildfire A3333 G8
It was about $30.00 with the required tools. Took about two weeks to deliver to UK.
Thanks! +1 to you

After searching the internets and this forum with no success, I have finally found out how to order replacement parts and where to send my wizard in for service!
Replacement parts from HTC direct: 888-482-8725
Service from HTC: 888-356-2375 (They answer as Tmobile customer care, but are actually a division of HTC).
I got in a very violent car wreck last week and my wizard was found 30 feet away, scratched up (with a screen protector), with no battery or back cover. I ordered a replacement battery and cover with shipping for $40 that arrived the next day (I'm in Dallas and they're in Houston)! My wizard still works fine and I can send it in to HTC for them to put a new case for $80. They wouldn't promise me, but the rep said he'd try to get me a 8125 case instead of the MDA case (keeping fingers crossed)!
I would love a new case for my xda mini s, any brand would do. Come to think of it i would like a new front cover for the screen too (maybe just the digitizer) as it has a few feint marks.
If anyone has a contact in the uk that can get any parts please let me know. I'm happy to do the job myself.
Do you know if it's possible to purchase the casing without them instaling it? I have the service manual, and I'm pretty confident in doing the case switch myself. I currently have an MDA, but i find the keyboard on the 8125 to be nicer. Just my opinion.

I asked them that and they said no. I would have done it myself as well.
If this works, you just made my day. I'm gonna call them up a little later.

Just want to update on that contact numbers
Replacement parts from HTC direct: 713-2196125
Service from HTC: 888-356-2375 (Tmobile)
Service from HTC: 888-354-2375 (Cingular)
As of today the first number no longer works.
Does anyone have the current phone # for HTC parts? I am looking for a G1 touch panel - just the glass. Thanks!
I'm in the same boat as InksterOne. I need to replace the glass panel on my G1. Not the whole LCD assembly, just the glass. I need a place to order HTC replacement parts.
http://www.mobile-phone-lcd.com/
That place was awesome for LCD and touch-panel purchases, I got my G1 touchpanel (the glass piece) from HK in 3 days, and it was a genuine replacement part as well. I'm still looking for a place that sells the other parts... >_<
gsensor is not working
my gsensor is not working on my touch diamond. could you pls help
Can you share with me the email ?
Hi.
I need an HTC parts supplier, and your finding would make my day.
As I live overseas, and sometimes is hard to find a solution by phone when you can´t spend hours in the phone, I wonder if you have a name and an email which I can use to ask for Rhodium parts over there?
Thanks in advance.
David.-

anyone have an update on htc parts supplier? i need a hero speaker replacement!
I've used RepairsUniverse.com last few times I've cracked one of my screens. Last time was last month on my brand new HTC Droid Incredible. They had both the LCD and the glass screen replacements (i just needed the glass) and they had all the other models also. They always ship fast, and both times i've been very happy.

Dropped my phone last night. The FIRST time I have dropped it too... Anyways, two cracks running through the screen have limited my touch screen capabilities significantly... I have alltel and no insurance. What are the chances of getting a new one?!?! Also, if i find the parts how easy would it be to replace???
The USB port on my out of warranty Mogul broke and I had no insurance. I was sweating the cost and that I had an unofficial ROM on the phone. The rep at the Sprint repair ctr didn't even turn on the Mogul when I explained the problem. It was swapped out with a new unit (not refurb) for $35. I got the feeling that the failed port is so common that they don't even bother to check it. If my screen was cracked, she wouldn't have known (and for all I know, it might have been $35 for a broken screen anyway). Now this was Sprint not Alltel, so ymmv. I would take it in, play dumb and see what they will do for you. Swapping out a screen on this phone will be far from easy!
replace
buy just the screen + digitizer off ebay its like 50 bucks. i have already replaced mine twice. i suggest you buy a precision screw driver that matches the phones screws so you dont strip them. like 6 buxks at home depot
example: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-LCD-TOUCH-S...VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247
not sure if this comes with the digitizer but yours may still be fine
Hi forumers,
last month, i accidentally dropped my phone from my pocket jackets causing the screen crack and leaving the outer casing marked. but the touching functionally is still working fine although the digitizer are crack. So, i did email HTC UK asking for quotation for repair and replace it. Unfortunately, they cant tell me how will it cost until their technician have a look the condition of it.
So, anyone have send their HD2 to HTC centre for repair? how much will it cost for:-
new digitizer - £???
new outer casing - £???
new camera sleeve(where the phone rest) - £??
labour - £??
i have check the part price on Ebay and youtube on how to repair it by myself, but i just afraid to do it, as i got no skill to do it
thanks in advance
Cheers.
I Dropped my Galaxy 3 a while ago and the lcd cracked. i took it to a repair shop and it was replaced no problem. But the touch screen is not working in a specific place. on the uploaded pic, the red highlighted area is none responsive. it has had a new digitiser too. Any ideas?
Go back to the repair shop and tell them that the lcd isnt working ok.
he has it in the shop.. been there for nearly 3 months n he hasn't got a clue whats wrong. already paid £60 trying to get it fixed
To me it looks like the touchscreen (which is the think "glass" above the LCD) is broken. Really there isn't much you can do about it, as It costs a dime to replace.
EDIT: If you want, and if you're willing to pay for the postal fees, I could send you my touchscreen. I had my phone in the washing machine for a moment so It's not working anymore, but it worked for a moment after that, and the touchscreen was just fine. Contact me if interested.
That's what i don't get. Its had a brand new touch screen.. But thanks mate I'll let you know asap
just spoken to the lad at the phone shop. he has tried another touch screen but still the same outcome... any ideas?
Odd. Guess some component which controls it is just damaged then. :/
Or the guy at the shop is lying. (I've seen them trying to rip you off by telling lies). But yeah, you know this better as you've probably met him in person.
Hey guys,
I recently got the S4 from tmobile, about 3 and a half weeks ago, and today I dropped it from about 3.5 feet and the almoled screen inside cracked. I am really pissed off and really freaking out because it really is an expensive phone and I am unsure of what to do. It's not the gorilla glass, the the almoled inside. Is there anyway to replace that myself, or send it to samsung for repair?

You maybe better off getting a new phone. At those heights, who knows what else broke.
bad luck

You should send it in for repair at a Samsung service centre. The phone is new on the market. Genuine parts may be hard to come by for you to do it yourself.
By the way... was the body damaged ? Was it in a case ?
Sent from my GT-I9500
