[Q] Screen Auto-Rotate doesn't work - Nexus One General

The screen Auto-Rotate doesn't work for my N1 after upgrading to 2.2.1 FRG83.
My screen orientation is not rotating when turn the phone from side to upright. Side to side rotation still works.
I will need to reboot my phone or cancel the "Auto-Rotate Screen" setting to bring the screen orientation back to upright. Is this the bug of FRG83 or just my N1? By the way, it works fine before i have done the upgrade.

My HD2 just went into Landscape Mode on the Lock Screen!

Lifted up my locked phone when i got a text notification and the sceen went into landscape mode (I lifted it in that orientation). Half the screen was corrupted. i turned the phone into portrait orientation and the screen adjusted (no corruption) then I went back to landscape and the screen changed again, this time with not ocorruption. I unlocked it in landscape and the Today screen appeard in portrait. Sent myself a text to see if this was repetable and it's not. May have been a gliche in BSB Tweaks or something but it was an "interesting" moment.
Does anyone know of a too, (that actually works) that auto-switched the Today screen? I still miss not having a rotatable home screen.
Sorry my post may go against the rules of this forum by not talking about Windows Phone 7 Series or porting Android to HD2

T-MO HD2 Screen rotation issues

T-Mobile HD2.
Im having issues with my screen not staying rotated. When im in a browser or pretty much anything. My screen will rotate just fine to landscape view but it only stays rotated for about 2 seconds or so then it flips back. I haven't made any changes in the last week and this just started yesterday.
anyone have any advice for me?

[Q] Possible to change screen orientation while docked?

Is it possible to rotate the screen while the TF is docked? Auto-rotate appears to be disabled, such that even if the setting is enabled, the screen will not rotate when turned. If I lock the screen in anything but the "right-side-up" landscape mode prior to docking, it just reverts when placed in the dock. I am looking for the ability to have the screen locked in "upside-down" landscape mode when docked.
Odd as this may sound, if it is not possible, this may be a deal-breaker with me and my new TF. I am in the Navy on a submarine and I want to mount the TF upside down in my rack (bed) above me so that it turns in to flip-down screen that I can stream movies from my external hd. Any ideas?
I read in one post that the auto-rotate was disabled while docked in the most recent update, can anyone confirm this? I will be willing to revert or run a custom rom if this feature is possible in another version.
I am running the latest stock 3.1 update. Thanks in advance.
auto rotate did used to work for me while docked before the last update. Not a big deal really but one thing I noticed.
Thanks, but I can't get the screen to rotate while docked no matter what version I try.
Flashed to Prime 1.5 since it was based on the previous 8.4.4.5 - no go.
Flashed to stock 8.4.4.5 - still a no go.
I ensured auto-rotate was enabled when docked, and it would not rotate.
I locked the screen "upside-down" and then docked, but it still reverted back.
If the previous version allowed this, any ideas on what i m doing wrong?
Can anyone else confirm that their screen rotated while docked?
Is there any mod that can enable this feature?
I too would appreciate a way of changing the orientation while docked or while locked to a certain orientation by an application.

Screen Rotation Not working

Hi All,
It has been almost a week for my new nexus 10 was unable to rotate the screen by it self if i hold it side ways. I check and make sure the rotate lock is NOT on. I was running on a stock ROM. Then I did a factory reset in the setting. Nothing Change
I update the OTA 4.2.2. Nothing Change
I Root it again then flashed PARANOIDANDROID 3.1 RC [AOSP 4.2.2 Base - Nexus 10] [Hybrid] - Nothing change
At this point I am not able to make the screen rotate by itself. If the screen is in horizontal mode, If i go into a app that is vertical, then it will stock in vertical mode.
I download the android sensor box. shows that my accelerometer sensor and orientation sensor is off. But I do not know how to re calibrate it.
HELP

Sensors freezing

I've noticed that since updating to 4.4 that my sensors are freezing.
I noticed it when I went to use SMS and the screen immediately switched to landscape and would not rotate back when I held the phone upright. I unchecked the auto rotate in the settings and it returned to upright. I also noticed at the same time that the screen was a little dark and was not auto adjusting the brightness.
From the phone I entered *#0*# to get the test page and on opening the sensors they where all stuck solid. Only the proximity would work.
Sensor Hub test shows the STM32 pass.
The only way to fix it is to power off and back on. A re-start does not fix the issue.
I suspect a hardware problem. Anyone else seen this before?
