I cant seem to get the sms send button to work, clicking this button does nothing, the button does acknowledge the click, as you see the button show the down event. nothing happes tho! it just sit there waiting for you to click on the send button
using ervius with xipbuild 23138 and the same sys build on a touch diamond!

Solved reading another thread! removed OutlookEnhancement..
found the thread by using the keyword messaging.. I did search under SMS, TEXT, UNABLE TO SEND SMS.. to no avail!

Hi there,
on my Trion PPC with WM5 I have tried to work out a way to mark an SMS as read, without opening the messaging app by the push of one hard key. So far I couldnt get it to work. Has anyone come across a way do it ?
Reason is, that on WM5 the message self displays for a while upon reciept, so no need to futher open the Messaging.

upon receiving a notification, right soft button, and select 'save as read..'. Doesn't open the messaging apps, but not a 1 button solution.
The soft button way is obvious, but thats several clicks. Does anyone know how to assign a command under a short menu to a button ?
A One touch solution is what we need, its so anoying having to do so many steps each time you get the new sms pop up.

I would do it like noted above.. Add a button to the menu's of the notification .. and let it invoke a dll or application which uses MAPI functions to mark the sms as read.
Hi, I am using the HTC Home plugin, every time I press the SMS button (middle button) it opens the SMS fine but when I click the Email (left button) it opens the SMS again or the account chooser. I'm trying to fix the link of the email button. I cant seem to find the file or the registry that makes that button work.
Please help me solve this little bug from the htc home plugin. Thank you in advance.

lets say i've got a new text, well i press my messaging button to go to my texts, then when I press the new text, it goes back to my today screen, but when I press my messaging button again, it goes to the text that I chose like it didnt even go to the today screen? any ideas guys? tia

I have this happen but not with text messages but rather with new email messages. The exact same thing happens as you say. I will open the email and it will go back to the today screen but once I press the email messaging button it will open up to that email.
If you say your getting this problem with text messages and you press the messaging button I'm assuming your not using the threaded sms hack. I'm using the threaded hack so thats why I don't need to press the messaging button to open new text but I do need to press that button to open emails.
I've never tried a threaded sms before, how is it, and can you post a cab or a link to it for me? thanks man.

i'm having that issue as well, assumed it was the threaded sms for wm6 that i just installed. could be related to something else though as it sounds like you're not using the threaded app...
yep, count me in as well, that happens in both SMS and Emails
so did anyone find a fix, or solution to this? kind of aggravating at times. tia.
oh and medic or anyone else using the threaded sms, is it worth it to you all? can I remove it if I dont like it? tia again guys.
I have ContactCM installed and hav e the same problem. All in all it sounds like a bug in Windows Mobile 6 because I haven't heard of anyone on 5 having this problem.

You lost your touchscreen or what? I think we cant do that. You can write your message, but you still have touch you screen to send it.
you could map any hardware key to the left and right softkeys (say the mail and the Internet hardware buttons). Do a search for hardware key mapping applications such as AEButton Plus. Just an idea. Hope this helps.

try it with the navigation buttons or button green phone symbol..!!! Good Luck
Did a search and didn't seem to find anything related to this. But I just got the Arc tonight and trying to configure my Handcent quick compose feature. There's no search button so the only other option to start the quick compose is if I long press the camera button. I have that checked in the options. But when I long press the camera button the camera still shows up!
Any body encounter the same thing? TIA!
long purses on the menu key brings up the keyboard.... will that do what you want?
