Thanks for the heads-up. Worked for me too!

Got it, thanks!

...
... umm ... I don't think a PRL update is always a good thing. You have just as much chance of LOSING towers as gaining them.

any problems? is it better?

Is it not possible to update PRL on custom roms? I have the Redemption ROM 2.0.4, I haven't been able to update my PRL on this ROM. Not sure if I can or not on the others.
It says "We are unable to program your phone, please call 1-800-922...."

I've had the prl for over 2 weeks??
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App

Yea I made a thread for this over a week ago..

Has anybody been able to extract the new prl? I am former Alltel, and if I *228 I get a 4xxxx series PRL, which gets me pretty much crap reception.
rant:
On a side note, I love how former Alltel customers get the shaft. They told me in the store that if I changed over my pricing plan to a Verizon plan that I would never have to worry about the Alltel PRL's, but why would I do that - so I could give them an extra $150 every month? Verizon pricing plans suck
end rant

PRL just automatically updated

Says it updated and radio needs to be reset, still on 60676 though. Running latest ACS
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
60676 is currently the newest PRL update.
I know, and we've had it for a while. Just wondering why an update was sent out and why did my phone tell me it was updated if I was already running it?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
No clue. From what I've read, Sprint is having issues with it.
Just happened to me, too. Makes no sense.
It's weird how only some phones does it and some phones not. My wife have an Epic as well, and her doesn't have any errors when trying to update her PRL. Hard to tell, but from what I've read, people are stating it's Sprint. Even read some people bringing in their phones to a repair center and got a replacement phone. I really don't care about PRL updates at the moment, so I don't want to bring in my phone to a repair center and being hassles by them.
happened to me too...im still on 60676 tho...the update never finished...i waited an hour, then just decided to reboot...weird...

I just manually changed it to 01115 to keep 3G roaming in Florida and those bastiches at Sprint woke me at 4AM with the signal beep to change me back to 60676!
I'm in New England and still on 60675.
When trying to update sometimes it returns an error, sometimes no new PRL found.

Hey, I'm in new england too its pushed for me yesterday morning no problem. Seems thir just doing specific areas at a time for he update and perhaps trieing to get devices that missed it previously or those or changed manually, hence some people receiving it again etc.

New PRL 01120

I just got a new Epic replacement for myself and it was loaded with PRL version 01120. I have no idea what was changed in this, and neither does my manager. We haven't heard about 1120 or 1117 for that matter.
Remember the 011** PRLs are for business accounts only
Digiblur, is there a way I can pull this off without being rooted?
thanks! just updated my prl and got the 01120 prl

Hey whosdaman, I start working for sprint (retail tech consultant) next saturday
Does that mean I'll be eligible for the business account PRLs or will I stay as a consumer account?

I'm not affiliated with a business and I've got 01120. Is it better than the normal one or something?

I get a sprint discount because of where I work and im still on 60676 :/ can i load up the business one and have it stick or will it go back??
mines 60677
and when i go into settings to system updates it fcs =[
Would updating to a buisness prl give us roaming on networks a consumer wouldn't usually get
EDIT: now my prl version is 60679

Being rooted will help you get your MSL easier (just one of the steps you need to do.)
But you can follow this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=898628
Now instead of loading a prl onto the phone, your going to "read from phone" and then click save file.
According to: http://www.howardforums.com/printthread.php?t=1581321
"when you save file it saves 2 files. the one with rl0 extension is actlually a PRL, just rename it."
Hope that helped

I haven't had them push a prl to me after manually updating to another prl. You can also freeze systemupdates - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1120050&highlight=superfreezer

**Edit** Nevermind ? I got updated to 01120 ? Any information on this PRL?

PRL xxx80 News Flash

Action Required: PRL Update Required for Select IL, KY, TN and WI Counties
Sprint released National Preferred Roaming Lists (PRLs) ending xxx80 to servers on 7/13/11.
PRLs will provide continued roaming and Strategic Roaming Alliance (SRA) 3G/Mobile Broadband service for several counties in Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee and Wisconsin, when roaming partners make network channel changes on 7/22/11.
Customers must update their PRL or they will drop to 1xRTT roaming.
Sprint will proactively push the National PRLs to subscribers with push capable handsets/PDAs.
Customers with Mobile Broadband devices will need to update the PRL via Smartview to receive the release.
Refer to the Preferred Roaming List (PRL) NewsFlash for impacted counties and FAQs (ISC > Sales Resources > Coverage > CDMA Domestic and International Roaming).

WDM, do you know how often they try and push this? I think I've seen mine try to pick it up twice while at work but I'm always on roaming there because I can barely get Sprint signal inside my office. I'm still on 60676 and everytime I try to update manually I either get the usual 'internal error'/'unknown error' response or if I try it often enough, I get 'No PRL update available'. Do they ever push it overnight?
Im still on 60679 wondering if mine should update or not if I try and make it update it fails not sure why I have tried one method I have found on here to fix it but it did not work. Will they push it to me or is that disabled when running a custom ROM? I am running SFR 1.2. If anyone knows how to fix it let me know unless 60679 is what I am suppose to be on in Iowa.

Got my letter today

for those of you who don't know. I've been using the 11115.prl and I use about 1.5-3 gigs roaming & 1.5-3 gigs on sprint towers a month.
So Monday I got my letter in the mail, I called them and they gave me a option if I want to stay with them to stop roaming or if I wanted to cancel my service that I could do so. (they would waive the ETF)
Just a heads up to everyone else if you use over 300MB roaming they flag your accounts. (what the rep told me)
Now to be honest I was purposely trying to use a crap ton a data (always streaming sirusxm) because I'm sick of sprint's slow service in my area. On the sprint towers we get around 20-60KBS and on roaming I get about 1mbps.
Anyways... any suggestions on different provider? phones?
Your roaming on VZ and like those speeds. Go with VZ

Yeah, i don't know about Roswell, but here in San Diego (which Sprint seems to have forgotten about) Vz wins.
I'm stuck with Sprint for at least 12 more months so I am hoping that they get their youknowwhat together otherwise I'm going big red.

Help with PRL's

I don't know a lot about prl's but mine had changed and now I'm getting poor service. Can anyone explain the difference in a prl and what is a modified prl? I'm using a Verizon note 3 and want to change the prl just don't know how or much about it yet

Ive noticed that *228 doesn't work anymore with those new LTE SIM Cards. I remember my phone wont lock on LTE always dropping signal to 3g and calls always drop. I changed my SIM and all good.
They told me only 3g devices can do *228 but LTE its thru the SIM.
