Selling My Nexus One - $400 - Nexus One General

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...30496&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT#ht_500wt_1154

$400 starting price on an auction does not = $400.

Just a starting price, if no one else bids, its 400.

11 hours left!

I think your 0 feedback may hurt your auction... usually you do a few purchasse to increase your feedback score, else people may think this is a fraud attempt...
Also you are selling a tri-band phone as if it was a 4 band phone... there's 2 version of it...
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100
HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 - for AT&T, Rogers Wireless
Good price tho, but I already have a nexus

why not try craigslist for your local area. Sold two BB's in one day.

Good luck ...try lower starting bid if doesn't sell.

I made a new ebay account thats why I have no feedback yet.
My dad said I have to sell my nexus one for at least 400 if I want the G2.
Thanks for the advice, everyone. Hope it sells and I get my g2

Lost my HD2 -TMOUS will it work in the UK?

Hi guys, I may get shot down for this, if I do I deserve it!
I just lost my beloved HD2 in London, I have insurance luckily, but I wanted to know if the TMOUS version of the HD2 would work in the UK.
Has anyone tried it yet?
My fiancee is the US right now, and I'm tempted to get one if its possible, but only if it will work over here in the UK.
Really sorry if this has been posted/answered before, but I'm really distraught and my searches weren't bringing up anything solid.
Thanks in advance guys, hope you can advise!
I think it just won't, it's hardcoded to work with US carriers, won't work with EU ones, that's what I've read more than once in several posts

I think the radios are coded to a particular frequency range in the hardware which is different to most other providers.
Here is a very general outline of common frequencies:
Voice and GPRS (EDGE)- 900 and 1800 in most of the world outside NA, 850 and 1900 in NA
3G Data- 2100 in Europe and Asia, 1900 in NA, 1700 for TMo USA
T-Mobile
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
WCDMA/HSPA: 1700 MHz (AWS) / 2100 MHz
European
HSPA/WCDMA: 900/2100 MHz
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
Not sure if this helps, but 3G and the radios may
be a problem.
I travel internationally a great deal and so I never buy US phones.
I don't care about 3G when in the states. I want it when traveling.
I am with AT&T and their 3G doesn't work overseas.

Thanks for your replies guys! Really appreciate it.
Case closed, TMOUS HD2 not compatible in UK.

Mytouch 4G on AT&T 3G?

I'm sorry if this is somewhere on the forum but I've searched here as well as do extensive searches on youtube and google and cannot get a solid answer.
My friend is stuck on AT&T with an iPhone 4 and wants to know if you unlock a MyTouch 4G can you get 3G speeds on it? The only reason we don't just get a full sim instead of micro and throw it in my Mytouch 4G is because he lives in an entirely different state.
any proof or just a solid answer with facts behind it would be appreciated, just trying to ditch an iPhone for Android.
MT4G supports:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100
AT&T Network Provides:
AT&T’s 3G network listens for phones transmitting 3G traffic in the 850 MHz and 1900 MHz bands... so I'm thinking just 2G... the rest of the geniuses may provide more info...

With this info maybe you can find out what signal ATT 3G is using and get a match??
AT&T uses 850 and 1900 for 3g... which MT4G is programmed to use for 2G data... without some kind of radio rewrite or something way beyond my level you should only get 2g on AT&T.... same reason you had to get an AT&T nexus one to get 3g on AT&T

this is what I don't understand, I've found video proof of the Samsung Vibrant running on AT&T 3G but it seems to have the same specs as the Mytouch 4G on the radio.
T-mobile Samsung Vibrant
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 1700 / 2100
I just don't understand how that works?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ByK72F29tE
best way to find out is to go Nike on that beast.... (just do it)
Vibrant has 1900 band as well
so, you could get AT&T 3g in any areas that's using 1900
to my knowledge, the MyTouch4g doesn't have 1900 band
AFAIK, vibrant is only smart phone out right now that will do ATT and Tmo 3g
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
probably because samsung made the same phone 4 times... the two GSM phones probably have the same or very similar radio firmware.
Well guys, Im thinking about taking the plunge on this one. Im stuck on att right now and want a good android phone that has a flash camera so I have done my research and saw that the vibrant runs att 3g but lacks LED flash so im just going to take the plunge and get the mytouch and see what happens...
i can personally tell you that you wont be able to get 3g on the mytouch 4g. only edge (2g) via personal experience
the captivate will NOT use T-mo 3g the vibrant will use both....
and like i said i believe the vibrant is the ONLY smartphone (recently released) that will grab BOTH att and T-mo
d2 did you put up with the edge and use wifi as much as possible or go back to something else?

coming from tmobile's 4g to edge on att was KILLER. it was painfully slow. so i went back to tmobile.
yea thats what i figured, i have an iphone now on att and am used to being able to make calls on 3G and watch youtube videos, and if I get the mytouch all that goes away.
It won't work at all, you'll be stuck on Edge, and edge sucks, coming from a iPhone on T-Mobile with edge to the G2 then to the myTouch with HSDPA is like coming from a horse wagon to a Ferrari, and you're not going to like it at all.
Just come to the better data network and switch to t-mobile... maybe I'm spoiled I got a VZW and Sprint data stick in a cradlepoint router in my car and can do nav and WiFi calling when t-mo svc sucks...
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
T-Mobile's network has gotten so much better, its crazy to think how much the carrier race has flopped around. AT&T was at one point at the top of the list. Now they are the only network without 4G.
T-Mobile is the android network, we have the best phones and the best selection of phones. I agree with Eskimo you should make the switch.
switch?
Currently debating whether to make the switch over to tmobile. Going to purchase a mytouch 4g tomorrow for $250 new in box. Currently using a vibrant which was only $160, I unlocked it for a local carrier with 3g services. LOVE the screen! and the very very few custom roms. Coming from a nexus one I was spoiled with the roms.
Anyways stuck on this...Unlock the mytouch 4g and use it on my current plan, and sell the vibrant or go ahead and make the switch to tmobile.
Current plan:
500 minutes, unlimited text & data $55 with tax.... wife is on this carrier and majority of my minutes goto her.
Tmobile
500 mintues, unlimited text & data $59.99 plus 12% discount.....
pros 4g...and could drop internet service at home save $30 with 4g (can do simple browsing with 3g still)
cons...mintues to wife....
I don't even get 3g with my mt4g with tmobile where I live

Samsung Needs To Communicate LTE

Samsung needs to tell us clearly what is what with the Note 2. If someone wants to buy an International Note 2, from say UK, and not wait till Nov., will the Note 2 from UK work on ATT with LTE? Why can't Samsung publish the radio bands for the International Note 2? I have looked at numerous websites and some list LTE and others don't, and overseas LTE radio bands appear different than ATT, as an example. It would seem we should be told what is what, so all can clearly understand what device to buy from where, if one wants LTE. I don't have on original Note, but have on S3, and totally a requirement going forward. LTE is so much much faster than 3G that I don't want to buy a Note 2 if it isn't capable of LTE that works on ATT. I rather wait till mid Nov. and get directly from ATT than get 6 weeks sooner, if it only has 3G. Perhaps I will just wait to be sure, but seems straightforward question that easily can be answered and published by Samsung.
Maybe I have missed something, but I can't find any definitive info regarding this LTE subject. Samsung needs to communicate.
I am also trying to figure out which version to buy and every site says something different,
This is phonearena which I am going off of

Additional examples, Clove UK specs say nothing about 4G LTE, yet Negri Electronics specs calls out 4G LTE...and on and on......Handtec in UK spec does call out 4G LTE, and we know Handtec and Clove UK will be getting the same device. Handtec spec:
3G: HSPA+ 21Mbps (HSDPA 21Mbps / HSUPA 5.76Mbps) 4G LTE: 100Mbps/ 50Mbps (HDSPA 42Mbps / HSUPA 5.76Mbps)

There sure is conflicting info everywhere.
N7100 is non LTE,
N7105 has LTE
The galaxy s3 I9300 has no LTE
While their I9305 model does have LTE
Look for the 05 to identify the LTE model. Now whether a European LTE model will work in The USA or vice versa is another headache

That is the million dollar question, will the N7105 LTE model work on the LTE carriers here in the USA.
If it does that would be awesome.
I am also slightly peeved about this. Then again, it's not like I will have it in my hands the moment I know the LTE bands. According to the Engadget article it states no "US-FRIENDLY" LTE bands, which may no imply the device not having LTE altogether.
I would suspect the LTE version sold outside America will have LTE 800/900/1800/2100/2600 (meaning it will work perfectly on all LTE networks in Europe and almost everywhere else in the world) and then America will have their own versions that support your (AT&T for GSM version) 700MHz LTE band.

There are at least 5 different versions if not more. Although it is LTE capable, the version sold for England does not have a LTE chip, The German one does but it will not work on ATT. There are no LTE networks in Europe that I know about compatible with ATT LTE bands. If you buy one in Europe plan on using 3G and 2G on ATT. Make sure it has these bands:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
ATT uses 850 and 1900 for 2G and 3G. You need both.
To use ATT LTE you need a chip for this:
LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 1700 / 2100.

You need to confirm LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 2100 is on board the model they are selling you. There are a lot of different versions and not all have LTE chips and the ones that do have LTE chips for different areas. There is a CDMA version that US Cellular has up for preorder.

Yep most UK information points to EE having the 4G LTE version.
I hate looking at mobile phone websites the first thing you see is iphone5! Then search for phones coming soon and galaxy note 2 isn't even there!
Samsung needs to get their marketing sorted 4 days to go and nobody knows for sure wtf going on. Carriers are equally to blame for lack of information.

Learn from my mistake.

I mistakenly bought the Chinese version of the 1+1.
After looking at the bands it supports I realized that it would be no good for T-Mobile in the US.
I admit this was my fault. Still, it's good customer service to allow a customer to return something within a reasonable amount of time.
So, within 24 hours I emailed them:

The LTE standard covers a range of many different bands, each of which is designated by both a frequency and a band number. In North America, 700, 750, 800, 850, 1900, 1700/2100 (AWS) and 2600 MHz (Rogers Communications, Bell Canada) are used (bands 4, 7, 12, 13, 17, 25, 26, 41); 2500 MHz in South America; 800, 900, 1800, 2600 MHz in Europe(bands 3, 7, 20);1800 and 2600 MHz in Asia (bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 11, 13, 40);and 1800 MHz and 2300 MHz in Australiaand New Zealand (bands 3, 40).As a result, phones from one country may not work in other countries. In the end I had to do a paypal dispute to get my money back. I finally got my money back on 6/21 12 days later. Like I said it was my fault that I didn't read the specs for the Chinese model. But, these guys have really poor service. This experience has soured me on Oppomart, OPO, 1+1 and anyone else affiliated with them.
Here's to hoping I have better luck with the Chinese version I'm getting sent! I use Net10 (Straight Talk/Tracfone) with an AT&T Sim - I've read up on the bands and it appears I'll get 3G/HSPA+, which I'm OK with considering the HSPA+ speeds are better where I live then the AT&T LTE speeds......doesn't make sense at all!
But anyways good info to know for people on T-Mobile!
And good luck getting your hands on an international version, I'm assuming you still want one!
You can't blame oneplus for customer service issues with oppomart. They may not even be affiliated with oneplus.
Oh I read about a hacked radio that allows the same bands as on the international version. Check the forums for a link. I don't have it.

Yea, that is true. They may not have the best customer relations - but they are more than likely not affiliated with OnePlus whatsoever.
And I'm interested in that hack - I assumed since OnePlus said early on that there would only be one model (no variants) other than the memory - that even the Chinese version should have those radios (physically at least) and that they are just disabled due to Chinese whatever.
I've heard other people in the same situation and Oppomart doing the same thing.
So what now, you have to send it back?
oppomart is not affiliated with oppo or oneplus. they are referred to as "scalpers" by the company. the do resell the chinese coloros version of the phone with incompatible bands at a higher price. even mentioning them on the oneplus forums is banned.

Guess I would have realized that if I had read the big (Verizon) text on that page.. Or looked at the photo of the back.
I assume the $200 trade-in doesn't apply to it, so for most it will be more expensive than getting a preorder.

Does anyone have any legitimate source for the LTE bands supported by the Developer Edition?
This is all that is listed on Samsung's site, and frankly, this tells me nothing.

3G (HSPA+ 42Mbps): 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 MHz;
4G (LTE Cat 4 150/50Mbps) or 4G (LTE Cat 6 300/50Mbps)***
Seems odd that they would omit exactly what LTE bands are supported by the phone.

Same LTE bands as regular Verizon Note 4:
Network: LTE Band 13/4 (700/1700 MHz)
CDMA/1xEVDO Rev. A (800/1900 MHz)
Global Network: EDGE/GSM (850/900/1800/1900)
HSPA/UMTS(850/900/1900/2100)

Same LTE bands as regular Verizon Note 4:
Network: LTE Band 13/4 (700/1700 MHz)
CDMA/1xEVDO Rev. A (800/1900 MHz)
Global Network: EDGE/GSM (850/900/1800/1900)
HSPA/UMTS(850/900/1900/2100)

Yeah, this is the unfortunately the same thing Verizon advertises about the Galaxy S5, despite the fact that it also at least supports 2600 (band 7) MHz(and likely more). Verizon only bothers to mention the bands in which Verizon supports, not the phone. Hence the request for a legitimate source. Thanks though.

Do you research it will have the same bands smh
digging into bands deeper the first thing you posted it has this at the bottom: * May differ by country and carrier
Network
2.5G (GSM/GPRS/EDGE) : 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
3G (HSPA+ 42Mbps): 850/900/1900/2100 MHz
4G (LTE Cat.4 150/50Mbps) or 4G (LTE Cat.6 300/50Mbps)
* May differ by country and carrier

Oh, I wonder why they bothered to display any specs at all, that last line covers everything. Syh all you want. Considering the Note 4 Developer Edition by all available information, seems to be a Verizon exclusive, it may be fair to conclude that "differing by country and carrier" might be limited to Verizon, and the USA. Further more, the Samsung site displays more/conflicting information with the Note 4 on Verizon's site. (non-developer edition). (4G (LTE Cat 4 150/50Mbps) : B2 / B4 / B5 / B12 / B17) -Hmmm, weird, more than 2 bands listed.
So to reiterate with clarity, does anyone have a comprehensive, reliable source to determine the LTE bands (and frequencies) supported by the Note 4 Developer Edition.
-Thanks
Doesn't matter now...It has now disappeared from the Samsung site, No trace of it...Bummer
