Bloody hell mate if you want help at least type in English.
You probably have a misbehaving app, have you installed our changed anything recently?
Try a task manager or similar to see what is running etc and to kill and eliminate apps.
Having the decency to type in a manner that allows reading is a must here my friend.

+1 on the whole typing using complete words point.. spectacularly lazy. and Laziness doesn't inspire help..
But yes - probably a dodgy app.. or a weak signal (local transmitter problem).. can kill your phone as quick as anything else!

I use a combination of Autokiller (never kill tasks yourself), SetCPU and Watchdog lite (Email app on X10's is a major culprit and goes over 80% CPU usage occasionally) to manage battery life. I easily get 2 days with decent amount of surfing and calling. Although if I used Juicedefender I'd get even better battery life but I like to keep 3G on since I get quite a bit of MMS.

I had a simar problem today. My battery was on 74%, the fone randomly froze. I turned off the fone from the power button turned it back on and i was down to something like 56% weird

You can use juicedefender to regulate when to turn on/off 3G/Wifi. For example when screen shuts off or when you turn on the screen, maybe keep it turned off below a certain percentage of battery, etc.
As for SetCPU, I use fairly liberal settings:
Scaling is always on demand and priority is always 50.
Charge AC/Full --> 998 / 245
Charge USB/Full --> 998 / 245
Screen OFf --> 384 / 245
Battery < 10% --> 245 / 245
To save even more battery you can set your profiles to conservative, etc.

I had the same issue when I started using desktop visualizer. Battery went from 3 days to one.

hello everyone
first of all i would like to apologize from all of you for typing that way. the reason for typing like that is my x10 is lagging a lot so i have to type like that so i could type a bit fast. :/
anyways... other problem im having is my x10 isnt charging properly. i plugged my x10 for charging at like 2 am.. and took off at 2 pm after i cam back from school! :s
and the battery was still at 75%
and it was warm (the phone)
i knw i shldnt hav over charged but still...
and all the battery was drained by 8 pm.
i really need your help people..
im worried.. why is this happening?

try deleting all applications and test your phone without using any 3g and wifi to chk if its a manufacturing fault. if it runs around two days without any 3g and wifi and applications your phone is good. and then just be carefull in installing applications. this is the best way to check it.

I gotta respectfully disagree - this is most definitely NOT normal. I've used my phone more today than any other day I can think of since I've had it. I pulled it off the charger exactly 10 hrs. ago and I've got 50% left.
I'm getting VERY good battery life with my Vibrant.

it could be one of these?
1 - your phone is jacked up
2 - your battery is jacked up
3 - you are running too many programs in the background and you don't know it. Check out your application running tab to see what exactly is running.

I use JuiceDefender. It does more than just set the CPU. And I keep the screen brightness low.
SetCPU works only if your phone is rooted, I guess. JuiceDefender is able to work *some* magic on any Android phone, rooted or not
--Tim
I use them both, on default settings and find it really helps my battery. My only slight complaint would be the time it takes for 3G to become active when I unlock the screen

Is that maybe because you have "Prefer Wi-Fi" set in the APN setup? Mines comes on immediately - I'm using JuiceDefender in advanced mode.
I use both too - they do diff things, so hopefully combining them results in more savings.
I've set SetCPU to scale the CPU based on battery remaining, Temperature and Screen Off - seems to work well for me.
Never really tried experimenting with disabling these programs to compare how effective they are.
Personally I find juice defender makes a huge difference. I simply have it switch off the data connection when the screen is off, unless it is on charge.
Not sure how much of a difference setcpu will make.
Swyped from my rooted X10i using XDA.
i'm using setcpu. got it set to max for both the minimum and maximum spot and the set to as low as possible for both for when the screen is off. works heaps good for me. and makes the phone speedier when you're using it too.
I turned off Juice Defender, my battery life in still solid and completely unchanged.
I am aslo aware of the battery life is still good as before I turn of the Juicedefender. It could be SE already did something for the last update (R26)
Juice defender makes a huge difference for me, that I have already tested. Works fine on my setup.
Have had setcpu for a while, not entirely sure if it makes any difference for me.
How does android 1.6 handle cpu speed when left alone?
Sent from my rooted x10i using Tapatalk.
Android handles that quite well. I uninstalled both of them and have no faster battery drain than while using these apps. Actually it feels like battery lasts longer, but i didn't really test ;-)
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
So how to use juicedefender ? Is it easy ? Should I keep the setcpu? Or uninstall it and if ihave both how do I setup them up together.
Sent from my X10a using XDA App
I get three days of life without Juice Defender = the same as with it on. I feel it's worthless. It's easy just download and turn on/off the features you want.
Setcpu makes things worse for me for some reason. I used 15% battery in 2 hours just on standby.
I guess alot of it is down to how you use your phone.
As far as juice defender goes, I just use it to kill the data connection when screen is off.
Sent from my rooted x10i using Tapatalk.

[Q] SetCPU

Is anybody using setcpu and if you are what are some settings that worked and didnt work for you
I tried it...but didn't reallya see any better batt life...let me know if u have better sucess. I only added a sleep profile so it clocks down to 300 when the screen times out
Sent from my DROID2WE using XDA App
I did the screen off as well, and i also set it to do the same when batt goes under 21%.... it works good that way for streaching out my battery life just that little bit that makes it worth it
I set it to 1000 max 800 min til 40% then put It down to 600 for lower and 300 when the screen sleeps. Battery life is a lot better

And I set setCPU to on demand. Never notice any slowdowns and I can get 20 hours of battery life with only 50% of battery life used when my phone used to last only 15 hours.

Better battery life!

Hey guys & gals just wanted 2 share something with u. I recently decided 2 uninstall cetcpu from my phone & decided 2 go with cpu tuner instead. In doing so i've noticed my battery life improve significantly with some profile tweaking of course. If you've run the virtuous htc sence rom with the pershoot o.c kernal u know how disgusting the battery life can b.It literally sucks the juice out of your battery like "Debbie" from Debbie does Dallas sucks the juice out of...well u know. Anyway,i also noticed how little juice the system resources now use up. I included a screenshot of the battery status screen.Hope this helps anyone with battery issues especially if your running the rom & kernal mentioned above, it worked 4 maybe it can work 4 u. P.S I have the screen set to 20% brightness, gps, wifi, blutooth, autosync all disabled.Only reason i mention this is because even with all these things disabled along with a few other,b4 installing cpu tuner my battery would still drain like crazy. Thx.

I don't know how you guys are having such bad battery life. Currently at the moment I am at 22h 11m 51s since unplugged with 57% left. This is all with CM6.1 RC4 w/ wifi + wifi calling on all the time when I am home, autosync on for everything, auto brightness, and some use of gps. I listen to music on my phone for atleast 3+ hours walking to and from class + texting, browsing, facebook, twitter, fantasy league during class and the occasional call, pretty good usage. with setcpu on oc to 1ghz with some profiles set up.

Is the phone not quick enough at 1Ghz? I keep mines on stock speeds, have setcpu installed but don't use, and have CyanogensMod on it. I get the whole days worth plus more of battery. I can't even kill it when I want to recalibrate it.
A whole day for me is about 16-20 hours for me without charging. This is MADNESS!

Not that the phone is not fast enough. It's placebo effect where people "feel" that it needs to be faster when they overclock it at crazy speed. The G2 has already proved itself a speed monster, none of the android phones out there can top it right now. As for the battery life, I honestly don't notice any considerable improvement.

No active task killers I just have System Panel installed monitoring and occasionally I use it to kill apps when the phone lags.
As for apps, mostly GMail and the Stock Email app (set up for a work Exchage account) Stock music player for playing to my bluetooth. CraigsNotification is running. I have Facebook set to the longest refresh time, use Gemini Calender for my schedule Pure grid calender widget. Umm google voice is set up for my voicemail but I rarely get those... Go contacts/Dialer for calls. Those are the heavy used ones I can think of. The rest are maybe once every other day usage.
i have my Gmail Sync on, Contact Sync on, Push Microsoft email, and auto brightness i drop about 2% per 4 hours. I wonder if the Craigslist app is killing it's searching alot.
Think it is probably your bluetooth music...try a set of corded headphones/earbuds one day/all day if possible and there should be a noticeable difference...

I would agree, but like I said right now I am at 79% and 2 hours into my phone being off the charger, bluetooth isn't even on and I haven't touched the music as today is my day off... Something in my settings seems to be the culprit cuz Android System at 44% doesn't seem healthy.
I'm on CM7 and get about 12hrs battery life. My mods are as follows:
LauncherPro
Stock kernal
Bloat freezer (get this, freeze apps that may be killing batt. I froze ADW, HTC sync, and various others, just be careful with what you freeze).
Auto screen brightness
Average sync at 2 hours
Wifi on always (3g pulls quite a bit more batt than you'd think)
GPS on (only pulls when in use e.g. maps, navigation)
SetCPU:
Max 998mhz when above 80% batt (90% priority)
Min 245mhz when below 20% batt (100% priority)
Max 800mhz when above 60% batt (60% priority)
Max 998mhz when plugged in (100% priority)
These settings have all increased battery life significantly. I'm at 75% now and have been unplugged since 9am PDT.
Also, Bluetooth only pulls when in use such as streaming.

I don't know how to make heads or tails of this but I have a lot more from the log then that.
Ahh, I see. In that case, I agree with neidlinger that you may have a rogue app constantly running...
BT is probably not the issue. I had a bt headset for about a week and listened to audiobooks regularly without a significant loss in battery compared to a wired set. Must be something in the system or an app. Tried a full wipe and a fresh download of the rom?

Tried that too :/
Download a app called watchdog, see if it gives an alert about a rogue app thats killing the battery life.
Watchdog is a good app. I've had some issues with it saying LauncherPro is an issue or even ADW. At one point it told me android system was a problem. Still, worth a shot.

The new kernel gives me 17hrs I just charge while off. And when I drain the battery completely I wipe battery stats as well. I think it really helps.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA Premium App
I dont use setcpu. I think it plays a part in a battery drain unless you have the smartass kernel.

What is your kernal version? I've got [email protected] #1 (who names this stuff??? lol)
Right now Im sitting at 5h 39m 18s on battery with
Android System responsible for 32% of my drain,
Cell standby 29%,
phone idle 21%,
Display 10%,
Voice calls 5%
Beautiful Widgets 2%.
Haven't used bluetooth today or streamed/sd card playing of music.
Also watchdog has not notified me of anything and I have it at Aggressive!!!! Only thing I have really used my phone for today is less then 50 texts and 5 apps had updates. Heck I even had Auto-Sync off for over an hour today! This SUCKS!!
that's bull****

HAHAHAHA My thoughts exactly!!! And I have an RMA MyTouch so I flashed new EVERYTHING on it and still have the same issues so I know its not a hardware issue (3 different batteries too so yeahhhh...) I have gone all out on this messing with all the settings I can think of and I'm getting NOOOOOO improvement! My newest foray now is turning off the Google backup thing and seeing if that helps any. Anyone here use/not use that feature and see loss or gain of battery? I'm gonna try uninstalling SetCPU next but that seems odd to me as that program was the only thing helping my last phone (HTC Evo) Get well over 15+ hours!
What are the chances that the theme I have is causing the problem? Cuz I saw theme chooser is one of the things listed under android system and android system seems to be the killer of my battery. I use the Mixer v4 theme btw, its the most visual theme I have seen so far I mean it changes ALOT of stuff...
