I have very unusual problem with WinMob.When i start the phone my green call button doesn't work,when you push the button nothing happens, should open phone screen so i can make calls(it works,but for this function doesn't),also when phone is locked,when someone call me doesn't ring (just vibrates once and if you tap the screen phone froze up,I've tried all setings ring,vibrate and ring ...)my notifications does not working,when tap the top of the screen, a small window shows up with information instead of regular notification screen,and most impportant i can't load boot-loader (presсing Vol. Down and then Pow. button).I have 2.08 HSPL but i can see that only if i run HSPL3_PKG.I've tried:

Sounds like some really faulty hardware. I would return it to T-Mobile if it's new as something is definately wrong. There shouldn't be a big deal made about it since your hardware buttons psyically don't work. You will need to remove HardSPL and flash back to the original T-Mobile ROM in order to return it though.
Well that will be ok but i'm in europe,recently back from new york,and this problem occured after unlocking the simcard.I can try to change membran for buttons but i relly want to somehow enter boot-loader so i can execute task 29 and then try everything again.So any suggestions?
I've tried to go with Android but robo voice never go away and sound doesn't work ever(CLRCAD always start before Haret),with different Radios(recommended for that build),ROMS,newest kernel,and this builds of Android

hey all so i am definatly having some very weird problems with my phone ... i have been using energy roms since HTC Ty, and never encountered this problem before. I guess everything was fine until i replaced my radio with Leo_RADIO_15.36.50.07U_2.09.50.29_2. After replacing the radio i actually got better service from my phone ... no more freezing problems, and all in all better reception. two days after the flash i was not able to get any sound from my ear phone piece ... but i am able to get sound through headphones and speaker. now all of a sudden my hard buttons that control talk send and end do not work. The phone will only "wake up" if i press the back button. (home and windows button also work) Of course i tried to change the radio to how it was previously also tried different roms but same problem. i have scowared the forums for similar problems but nothing seems to work. i had to use the bus for two weeks in order to save enough to get this phone and now i am beyond sad. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. (Forgot to mention tried task29 app now i cant get to the boot loader screen, as soon as i put the battery in it boots up... does not wait for me to press the end button)

sounds like you got some hardware issues, try booting into bootloader (hold volume down key as you place the battery in (tricky but I am sure you will manage ) then installing a rom. But the problems indicate a hardware issue really. maybe worth putting stock stuff on it and claiming under warranty.
hi everyone!i'm a newbie to htc hd2.i've bought a "second hand" one just a couple of days ago and i've immediatly noticed some software issues(when i still had wp 6.5):
1)when i tried to exit from the sleep mode pressing the endbutton on the right, windows didn't let me unlock the screen sliding the lock button(fortunately pressing one of the other buttons i temporary solved this issue...)
2)i couldn't power off or doing any of the actions (like rebooting or put the phone in "airplane mode") from the menu which appears holding down the endbutton for a couple of seconds.
so i thought this was a software problem and i installed gingerbread rom after doing a task29 format and the radio, hspl and magldr 1.12 updates, but i still have the identical troubles also on this new firmware.(i tried also froyo with the same result)
some of you had a similar problem in the past?
is there a solution or should i use the warranty (obviously restoring the phone to its original configuration)?

guys i foud out that pressin softly the lower part of the end button everything works fine..i'm quite sure this is hardware stuff..don't you think?

so i downloaded an official rom from htc of wm 6.5 and flashed it on my device but after finishing the device screen is blank and not showing anything
even when i try to enter bootloader
when i press the power button it gives that little vibration and then nothing happens

oh dear, doesnt sound good, did you USB flash or SD card flash?
probably the best thing to do is pull out the battery, SD card and SIM, make sure its cooled down and leave it for a few min, pop the battery in and hold down the VOL down key, if it doesnt turn on by its self try tapping the power button, which continuing to hold "VOL down"
see what happens then.
I assume you have installed the correct original ROM for your device, special attention should be made if you have a TMOUS 1024MB device, also the correct country area // network if it was branded
Oh an you really really need to give WP7 a couple of weeks trial, you have to think differently, it changes the way you do things, in the past ive been a heavy WM and android user and i thought WP was crap, but after using it for a couple of weeks ive come to love it and will never go back, ive been using it for months now (although i do use WM on my old HD for some old software i need and paid for)
Hey people, I usually upgrade roms on my blackstone, been 2 years now, all fine, until yesterday after a task 29.{Ypsmav rom} My phone didn't want to start, eternal freeze on start up with the htc logo ..

This happend to me, this is what i did to fix it:
Take the batery of the phone
Wait a few minutes and put the batery back on
With the USB Cable unplugged press the Volume Down button and then the Power Button
Plug the USB into the phone (Don't do anything else to the phone)
Run the ROM you downloaded
Select Task 28 and upgrade.
It worked with my Touch HD
task 29 completely formats your phone, including the rom partition, so of course it cannot boot into windows mobile, there is currently no windows mobile on it!
as already pointed out, you need to flash a rom again.

I have a big problem with my old Blackstone... I didn´t use it for a long time (because I got a HTC Desire and a Galaxy Tab). Now i started the phone, but it won´t boot. It stucks at the boot screen (HTC Smart Mobility)...
So far so good... So I thought, I´ll do a Hard Reset... Then I saw that the VOL-Buttons are broken... So, HardReset with VOL-Button won´t work.
Is it possible to flash the phone via USB (ActiveSync doesn´t work...)?
Or is the phone broken?

without the use of the volume buttons, it is next to impossible to get the device working again, since your device does not boot into winmo nor can you access the bootloader mode to flash it. your only chance would be to get the volume keys working again, have you tried using them without the back cover and pressing them really deep?

Yeah, I've tried to get the Buttons work again, but keys are definitly broken. Something seems to miss on the buttons, so I think the are broken...

since you do have another phone, you might want to consider giving away/ selling your blackstone.
lately, i think there are more and more threads with people that have problems with their displays and/or digitizers and they might be willing to buy it for parts or you could donate it to the developers of xdandroid, so they finally have a device to test it on.
or you could search and download the htc blackstone service manual pdf and disassemble the device yourself to fix the buttons.

Hello friends, I don't find any thread which can solve my problem, so i was starting a new thread here.
I got a T-Mobile HD2 unlocked version (Warranty expired).
My device keeps rebooting while a few minutes after using internet connection sharing over USB to PC. And very frequently hangs at boot (Stick Together screen) screen and some times reboots at start-up screen (at Windows screen and at Initialization of sense). And also touch screen was not working when i tried to resume the device from sleep using hardware red button (there was no problem when tried using other buttons) and unable to slide the unlock button, then i need to put the device in sleep using red button and wake using other buttons to make touch screen work again. And the touch screen never works then i tried to switch off the device (Then i need to repeat the sleep and wake step as specified earlier).
I used to have older version of stock ROM, and i have updated to latest stock ROM and installed HSPL still all the problem exists. And also, i have installed latest WP7.5 with MAGLDR 1.13 still i cant switch off the device (touch screen not working when i tried to switch off the device, i need to lock and unlock the device screen to get back the touch screen to sense our fingers) but i can restart the device using the built in application. I have not tried internet connection sharing under WP7.5.
And i have not yet tried any custom built windows mobile ROMs.
Help me guys, i think there might be a problem with the hardware. But the device works fine other than these.

plenty of threads on this if you experiment with some search phrases.
Rebooting after internet sharing sounds like overheating/CPU BGA failure issue.

I will open my device to check the connector ribbon...
And I tried underclocking my device to 576 MHz and i dont feel any heat from my device but after few minutes of browsing in my phone it started rebooting.
If the problem was known, i can search to fix it, but i still dont find what was the problem.
please help me to fix it....
Do the fridge test for rebooting issue:
Put HD2 in clear bag in fridge for 2hrs then use phone browser open up website & browse/download keeping it in fridge as much as possible, if it runs without reboot then issue is most likely BGA failure & a rework or new mainboard needed.
as for button screen issue, this may be repairable if end button fault & button can be cleaned ect but if cable linked to touch screen then new screen assembly is needed.
