Imagio Battery - Droid Incredible General

Has anyone here been an Imagio user who switched to the Incredible? The reason I ask is because I am such a person and I noticed that the extended battery on the Imagio is the exact same battery (Voltage and Amperage) as the Incredible's extended battery.
However, when I plug the Imagio battery into the Incredible, it is unable to read the battery status even though the phone powers up and everything seems to be working. The battery icon on the top right is black with a white exclamation point on it. I know the battery is fully charged too because I charged in the Imagio and then plugged it into the Incredible.
I tried plugging in the phone as well with the Imagio battery in place, and the charging light on the phone wouldn't come on either.
Thoughts as to why the Incredible is not able to read the staus of this battery or why it doesn't seem to be able to charge with this battery in place?

I don't know anything about the extended battery, but I'm using the stock 1500mah imagio battery in my incredible right now, and it works just fine.

Hi Remy, I'm like 2 weeks into Android now so I have no idea what you just said. LOL.
Can you run that down for me as to how I would do that.
Teesh

power your phone off. once powered off hold down power button and volume down/decrease volume button at the same time. you'll boot into the hboot screen. using your volume button, scroll down to recovery mode and then push power button. once in recovery mode hold down volume down/decrease volume button and power button at the same time. now you should be in the recovery menu. using your volume button scroll down to advanced setting then select wipe battery data stat. it'll take you to another screen. scroll down to battery stat and select it to wipe it. then reboot. You should be good to go.

I've been using all my Imagio's batteries since day one. They are not the same size. they are a little bit thicker. You have to really push on the battery cover to get it to click. But hardly noticeable once it's on. Mine have always worked fine. The batt guage works perfect. So it must be something like needing your stats wiped.
Just letting you know that it should work....

Aghh! Help Troubleshoot plz!

is my extended battery doomed??? hopefully it's a simple software fix. unfortunately I'm a noob so maybe 1 of you more experienced people can help me out. here are the events leading to my situation.
I put the phone in the car dock and was watching shows on flash player app for about 2hr. I tapped the screen to pause the video so I could make a call via bluetooth. I pressed the button on my headset for voice activation but it didn't do anything. it appeared that my phone had gone into sleep mode or turned off because the screen was black. I undocked it and press the home key and the power key and it didnt wake up. I thought maybe the power cord had come loose and the battery died so I plugged it in. I thought my assumption was correct when It displayed the big charging battery and showed 0% but 2sec later it jumped to 20 then 60% and held. it never did that before. I tried powering up but it only got to the m logo and went back to the battery screen about 20 sec later. I left it plugged in for a few min then attempted to power on again. it booted up to the home screen but the screen went black a few seconds later. every once in a while the green notification light flashed. I unplugged and took the battery out and waited about 5 minutes before replacing. the battery wasn't even warm. I long press the power key and it only got to the m logo before going black again. I thought maybe the battery was totally dead so I plugged it back in and left it for 20Min then tried again. it made it to my home screen but went black before my clock widget loaded. I was going to attempt a factory reset and it booted to the triangle. I got the wild idea to tryreplacing my extended battery with my original before I performed a factory reset. that worked! everything worked fine with the original battery.
here are some apps I have installed that may have contributed. titanium pro, ADW, overclocker( was enabled but cpu not overclocked) and juice defender lite(new install). afterward I uninstalled juice defender and overclocker which didnt help.
Notes... extended battery is only 2 wks old. when the screen is black the notification light flashes (rarely). it will not go past the the m logo unless its plugged in. it is very possible that titanium was performing a scheduled backup when this happened. I tried charging the battery for a few hours and it didn't help. Mini info widget always so does the battery was good but surprisingly Now my original battery seems to last longer than before(maybe my imagination) and just as long as my extended battery ever did under heavy use(11hrs) which leads me to believe that the extended battery was defective from the start.
did I or my apps ruin the battery? Bad battery? Fixable? I'll be taking it to the store tomorrow hopefully to get it tested and replaced but if I caused this I wanna make sure it doesn't happen to my new one. all advice, on topic or not, is welcome and appreciated. thanks.

It just sounds like a bad battery. These things happen.
Now I couldn't make it out if it was a sedio or verizon battery

[Q] Power drain bricked Note :(

Hello all,
Last night I decided that I should calibrate my battery. So from what I've read, fully discharge and then fully recharge with the power off. I also remember something about going to efforts to fully drain the battery to really get it flat before charging is somehow better for its full and empty measuring.
So I had an idea. I put the LED torch on when it was only a few percent of battery left AND it was recharging. That way the LED torch ate power faster than it could recharge so it discharged quickly, but not so fast that it might get a chance to go into power shut down a little early.
Not sure if that made sense, but it made sense to me at 2am while I was watching Sherlock Holmes in bed...
Well after it died I pulled the power cable out for a couple of minutes and then back in to recharge it while its completely switched off.
But this morning it wont start back up
I don't have a spare battery to use to see if I've killed the battery. Anyone have ideas on what I can do to revive it?
Hi,
Press the volume up, menu and power button for about ten seconds,
Or you can just charge your phone, for about 6 hours, then unplug and power on, I'm sure your phone is ok, on other phones the answer was press camera button and power, fixed it every time.

Thanks for the tips on the key combo. Didn't bring it back so now its on charge again for the next 6 hours. I agree with you that it SHOULD work... and hopefully it will!
I also saw mention somewhere of a device that you put into the micro USB port that hardware puts the device into "download mode". I think they might have been used in the very early days to root the devices.
I wonder if I should track one of these down and order it...
I've used Odin to awaken my sleepy note. Its now charging once again
So I guess my idea to flatten the battery worked... and flatten my head where yesterday I had hair!
Rocket V16 and LA1 modem here I come... tomorrow after charging that is...

[Q] Sprint Galaxy S5 Not Powering On

Can someone please give me some advice on what to do. My phone is less than 3 months old and will not power on. It doesn't do anything, not even the vibration it usually does. I've tried plugging it into the charger but it doesn't even have the charging light on. It was working fine and just stopped. I pulled the battery out and put it back in but nothing it working. If If anyone has any suggestions, I would be very grateful! Thanks!!!
what were you doing at the time
What were you doing at the time the phone stopped working? Did you try charging the battery on an external charger?
As the poster above suggested, what were you doing recently? We are looking for clues as to what happened? Did you yank on the power cord, drop the phone, et cetera?
Make sure that your battery isn't in backwards in the phone and try using a different cable to charge the phone. If it still doesn't charge, then borrow a friends external charger.. or even the (charged) battery out of their S5 for a few seconds to see if your phone will turn on. We're trying to differentiate between a dead battery and all other problems.
If you still have no luck, then remove the battery for ten seconds, then replace (the presumably charged) battery in your phone. Then press and hold the volume down key. Then also press and hold the home key, then the power key. After about five seconds, you should see the phone start to the "download screen". If so, post here for further guidance.
If you phone is non responsive to a borrowed battery and the download mode described above, then you should seek warranty service with your carrier. A three month old phone should still be under warranty.

Can you get into recovery ( volume up + menu +power button) or download mode (volume down + menu + power button)?
You may read this article http://www.technobezz.com/samsung-galaxy-s5-not-charging/, hope it helps.
I tried the volume down + home + power and it didn't work. I'm not sure what to do. I don't want to make a trip to the store but it's looking like I'm going to have to.

It may well be an electrical hardware issue, it doesn`t look like a software problem to me. Good luck and i hope its fixed soon

It is looking like a hardware issue. If you are positive that the battery is charged.. i.e. if the battery turns your husband's phone on, then we ask what is different about your phone? Most software issues would be bypassed by starting a phone in download mode, which is why I asked you to try that.
Have a quick look at the battery "fingers" or pins on your phone. Those are the gold or silver coloured pins that line up with the gold or silver tabs on the end of your battery. Do they all appear to be the same? There isn't one that is bent out of alignment or shorter than the others where it might not be making contact with the battery?
And why not try one more test? See if the phone will start up in "recovery mode" this time.
Pull the battery out of the phone for ten seconds. Then replace it. Now in order.. press and hold the volume up button, then press and hold the home button as well. And last, press and hold the power button. Continue holding all three for ten seconds or until you see the phone screen turn on.
If that still doesn't work, my best guess is that you may have accidentally banged and damaged the power button. If it was me.. I'd try pressing really hard and wiggling the power button for a few seconds to see if you can cajole the phone to power on at least once and confirm the problem.
But that is about all that we can do. If you can't get the phone to power up with a known good battery.. then th store needs to check it with test equipment to narrow down what the hardware fault is.

[Q] My Nexus 4 just died. Help me!

I was playing a game (Circle) and the screen of my Nexus 4 just turned off and the led from the bottom lighted green. I can't do anything. It doesn't start. I tried volume down + power and both volume buttons + Power and neither of them do nothing. The only thing that appears is the battery charging while I connect it to PC. but my PC doesn't see the phone.
Please, help me ! Thank you.

EDIT
I solved it, eventually. Because XDA is the first place I search for a problem, I tried after posting this to find solutions somewhere else. In case someone could need this too, I'll say what I've done.
I pressed VolumeUp+Power for about 60seconds, then pressed VolumeDown+Power while connecting the charger. (Just simply connecting the charger didn't work)
Then after 5 seconds the bootloader screen appeared and pressed Power to choose Start.

Maybe the battery died? If the device is old, battery reading can be incorrect, so the device just dies when it runs out of juice,
even though it supposedly has lets say 30% of juice left.
Charge it for a while and try turning it on.

Yes, I guess the problem was that the battery drained very fast. I had about 30% when entered in the game and I had the phone connected to PC, but I think there was a connectivity problem and my PC didn't recognise the phone and this leaded the battery to not charge and drain (I didn't observ that). It was the first time in 2 years since I have the phone when it turned off because of the battery. So I didn't know what that red (not green) led flashed and the phone react like dead.

Nexus 10 not booting (won't turn on)

I had my tablet on my bed, turned off, with ~60% of battery this morning.
On the afternoon I wanted to use it but it wouldn't turn on.
I already plugged it to the charger, nothing.
Tried pressing power + volume up + volume down (several seconds), nothing.
Same thing with only the power button, nothing.
When I keep the power button pressed while the charger is plugged in, the icon if the battery with a thunderbolt inside appears for a second, then disappears.
If I don't let go of the power button, this icon keeps appearing for a second and then disappears (and appears and disappears in a loop) and nothing else happens.
Any ideas?
I don't want to throw this tablet away.

I just had this happen to me a little while ago. My tablet turned off with the battery not even close to empty and couldn't get it to turn back on. I could get into recovery but not the OS. I tried flashing different things but it kept having issues. I tried leaving it in recovery mode to drain the battery all the way. Then plugged in the charger while it was off and let it charge up again. I flashed a rom again and I got it to turn back on. Everything seems to be back to normal now. But I really don't know what exactly fixed it or what caused it. I was flashing some older ROMs on it when it happened because I wanted to go back to Marshmallow. So, sorry I don't have a real answer but those are some things that I tried. It could be early signs of a bad battery but I don't know for sure

Well I could't enter recovery ao I just let it drain its battery, after some days I plugged the charger, the battery started charging and it booted.
So... I have no idea what it was, but now it's working again.
Yes, I'm guessing the batttery is dying so I'm starting to look for alternatives.
I guess I'll just go for an iPad, dont know what other tablet could be a good replacement for this one.

I agree. There's not really any other Android tablet that I think is a good replacement though. I like the size of the Nexus 10 and wouldn't want anything smaller. I thought about the Nexus 9 but even that has issues with running the latest version of Android. I guess tablets are just going out of style.
