SPB Weather does not auto-update the forecasts

Even though "Auto update - Every 1 hour" is checked under "Sync", it does not update weather forecasts automatically. I use this template for weather.com source: http://www.pdagold.com/themes/detail.asp?t=14490.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Got the same issue - also mine doesnt update when docked either!!
My theory is if you're using a custom template then is wont auto update. All we need to do is test to see if the (built in) GisMeteo template updates when docked then we'll know.

I think it's the template; have the same problem since instaling a wetter.com template that morning!

The reason I changed the source is because I trust weather.com much more than gismeteo.ru (never heard of them). Practically speaking, gismeteo forecast was WAAAAYYY off when I was in Chicago a month ago. I will look for another weather.com template. Accuweather.com is also a good source - a lot of TV stations use them as source in the US. Anybody knows where to find templates for those sources?

Install the latest version of SPB Weather. That fixed the issue for me.

Have the latest version installed (1.6.2 build 729), no auto synch (not even once a day instead of configuration).
Maybe here's a solution (http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/weather/support_articles28.html?de#). I'm just testing it.
Maybe we can create our own template by mixing up the spb template with others presupposed the spb template works

I updated from 1.6.2 build 728 to build 729. Now it updates automatically while docked, but not when it's not connected to the PC.

SPB weather does not update automatically for me at all, even though I have it set to update every hour.

You need a Data Connection maybe?
SPB Weather doesn't automatically establish a Data Connection.

Yea i can scroll basically to any item on my today screen with the d-pad. I can scroll thru the today tabs/items with no problem.

This is a translation of the original Yota Contacts application that comes with the HTC Quarts (MAX 4G) phone on the Yota network in Russia. Several people helped translate this from russian by hexediting the dialer application or translating the language xml in the skin. Cloudyfa released the first translated dialer.
Below you will find cabs for the YotaContacts application as well as the Yota Dialer. The two cabs below ONLY works for VGA devices (Touch Diamond and Touch Pro).
NONE OF THESE CABS WORK WITH CDMA DEVICES. This means the Verizon Touch Pro, the Sprint Touch Diamond and Touch Pro, etc
Please install these cabs to INTERNAL storage, not your storage card.

If you're having any installation problems with these cabs (or the ones below this post) install SDKCERTS.CAB from the following link http://www.4shared.com/file/37343459/78d124a5/sdkcerts.html. SDKCERTS installs special certificates to allow applications that aren't signed by microsoft(or signed with the SDK certificates) to run properly.

Benefits:
- Yota Contacts completely replaces the built in windows Contacts application.
- New dialer that's much faster then the built in dialer.
- Favorites groups
- Better onscreen keyboard
Minuses:
- No easy VoiceMail access (holding down 1 doesn't work). The "New Voicemail" link on TF3D's homescreen also doesn't work.
- No "face down mute" feature.
- No "bluetooth on/off switch" while in a call.
- No "Slide to Answer".
- No "Company Directory" lookup if you're hooked up to a company Exchange server.
- This app doesn't display special characters in the contact names.
- S2U2's caller ID functions HAVE to be disabled (they conflict with the Yota Dialer)
- If you have a password lock on the phone, it will impede your ability to answer the phone quickly, because you will have to input the password before you can hit "Answer" on the screen.
- No video calling or "Videoshare" (yet)
Please keep in mind that none of the people involved in translating this application, actually developed it. This came from the HTC Quartz, which is a WiMax phone operating on the Yota network in Russia. Therefore, any requests you might have, to add this or that, CAN NOT, and I can't stress this enough, CAN NOT, even be considered. The reason ? We don't have the source code for the applications included in this package. All we can do is make graphical skin changes or translations to other languages... to a point. Also, the keyboard can't be extracted either, it's an integral part of YotaContacts.exe.
One more thing to remember is this app takes up quite a bit of RAM, which on a Diamond, Touch Pro, Touch HD, etc is not really an issue, since we have plenty of RAM. On a QVGA device, you should consider this before installing it, ESPECIALLY if you only have 64 Megs of RAM to start with.
There's several versions of this floating around, the version I posted here has the green dial key on the "dialer" screen. There's also versions found below that have this removed, in order to increase the area above the dialpad where you can see more than one contact. You will have to use the hardware dial button to make phone calls.
The application takes a few seconds (at least) to start the first time you use it after you turn the phone on. It's recommended to either put a shortcut to YotaContacts.exe in the startup folder, or after you run it, keep it running in the background, so it instantly comes on when you need it later.

Install sdkcerts.cab and then soft reset.

copy the eng.xml file and rename it to ita.xml, then translate the words and save

You can set that using Advconfig menu>more settings>key mapping then choose which keys you want to map

The program allows a quick start of all of the standard applications as well as the programs that the user has installed. It also forms a catalog of programs available for installation, helping the user to select and quickly install the programs that are needed. The Center checks for and informs the user about the updates available for the programs that are installed.

Not that I can see. I have two ROM dumps and I don't see the files in either one, or anything remotely close to it. I'm starting to think that some things might be inside manila? Anybody want to attempt and package up the TF3D for the Yota and convert it from Russian to English?

I looked into it some more and I found out why we can't find anything in the official ROMs. The only thing in the official is that YotaLoader application that downloads all these addons (YotaContacts being one of them) AFTER the ROM is installed and the device is all setup. I guess when you're on a WiMAX network you can afford to do that, bandwidth wise. Hehe So we're SOL until YOTA decides to provide the missing MUI files in an "over the air" download, AND some smart russian on the Yota network will be kind enough to share it with the rest of us
p.s. Everybody having "issues" with the dialer and what ever.. READ the thread. There's several versions of this posted and some of the HAVE the dialer while other don't. For example, my version (VGA) has the Yota dialer, and even though it's in russian, it doesn't bother me at all.
p.s.s. For Alltheway... People already ported TF3D fromt he Quartz(Max4G), but it doesn't differ from the regular TouchHD version... so not much to gain from that....:/

New Windows Live Mobile?

This does appear to be a new version - files report versions 10.6.0044.1600, 10.6.0040.2801 plus others, the latest OEM package I have show 10.6.0034.0800. It has all resolutions (QVG, WVGA & VGA).
Can someone repackage these into OEMs for QVGA, VGA & WVGA? I'd like to update the Windows Live in my Kitchen to the latest.

After a bit of messing around I have sucessfully made an OEM package for this
Actually I have split it into three folders like the original

I used the ervius Package-Creator-v2 to create the OEM package. I then compared the contents with the three Windows Live folders that are currently in my kitchen (plus a bit of common sense...) and split the files into three folders. I then removed the non-QVGA files, used the PkgToolsBuildos-4.3b1.exe to remodule the .exe, .dll & .mui files in all the folders. Finally I copied (with some minor editing of a shortcut name) the provxml file from the previous WindowsLive folder into the new one and created a ROM (first using G'reloc.exe to relocate the modules).
Worked first time Which surprised me a bit. I had duplicate shortcuts for Messenger and Windows Live Messenger which was the result of some overlapping logic in an initflashfiles.txt and the provxml but this was easy to resolve.
Messenger seems to run correctly, however I haven't actually signed in with it yet but the fact the applications run is good.

Bizarre. I have searched for updated Windows Live previously and could only find the one without Messenger. I obviously didn't use the correct phrases in the search. I'll update my OEM package with this one then.

Forgive me if I am wrong but I thought the '**Resources.96.dll' files were required for QVGA support and the '**Resources.128.dll' & '**Resources.192.dll' were for WVGA & VGA?
The link I originally posted does seem to be the latest 'official' one from MS and has all resolutions in the .cab file. The links you posted (I think?) are for VGA devices such as the Raphael. If they work on other (non-VGA) devices then I am confused over what the **Resources.XX.dll' actually do then?

Hmmmm they do sound like DPI values to me... But I'm no expert on what exactly these files do.
If I look at the package I have here, I only see "**Resources.192.dll" and "**Resources.dll" files, no 96 and no 128.
And as I said, I tested it on a Universal (VGA), and on a Hermes and a Kaiser (QVGA), and it works just fine for me on all of them. Could it be the "**Resources.dll" files are the 96 ones?
I have no WVGA device so I couldn't test that, sorry.

[REQ] Custom internet tab for new Manila 3D (AKA Manila v3)

Here's the deal: new ROMs have this stupid Push Internet thingie I want to get rid of. The problem with it (beside not really working properly sometimes and being useless) is that it launches Opera on startup, which I find incredibly annoying. So I figured it would be nice to have a custom tab which would basically be the Manila v1 internet tab but with new softkeys (left one launching new Bookmarks, right one launching Opera's bookmark editor).
I've done some homework and identified the code in new Manila's 3fb3a68_manila which sets the left softkey:

Which should, in my view, become the right softkey of the custom page. Maybe editing bookmarks is from the right softkey is not a good idea and something more useful could go there but I don't know what exactly.
I've found the files responsible for this stuff in the new and old Manilas (attached), so what's needed is somebody familiar with lua (or at least Manila Kitchen) to modify and recompile the internetportalnopush.page. This part, unfortunately, is way beyond my ability to dedicate time to learning new things.

you can just deactivate the launch of opera on startup by editing
HKLM\Software\HTC\PushInternetEngine\Enable to 0
if it would work ok, pushinternet would be a very interesting feature. i hope it will be fixed soon

Well, it doesn't work with all pushinternet packages - Opera is still launched with mine at least (and yes, it's removed from Bootlauncher/init/startup/everywhere.

I don't need it anyway, fixed or not. And I know for sure I'm not alone. So I want to cook ROMs in a way that gives the user a choice (and doesn't leave unused softkeys, which is my pet peeve).

Internet Tab Search Engine
Has anybody figured out how to use the search box on top of the Internet Tab. Mine does not do anything when used. I would like to change which engine it uses but at this point it simply does not work...

Day of week on TouchFlo Home, possible?

Has anyone succeeded in tweaking TouchFlo to show the day of week as well as the date/month? If so, please share with us. It's the only thing lacking for me. Might have to use the normal Today screen because of this.

There are 2 ways, one is edit registry (doesn't works for me), one is edit the manila2d.exe (works for me). From what I've found on a china forum, registry way only works on old version of manila2d while the new version require a hex on the manila2d.exe which is inside \windows\.
I'm currently using the latest rom from HTC, not sure about your manila2d version. You can try the registry way first, if still cannot, you need to hex the manila2d.exe.
