samsung galaxy s i9000 multi-touch qwerty keyboard on hd2 running android? - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

just wondering, is there like a port of the keyboard mentioned above to the hd2? the stock qwerty one, it works flawlessly on me at the shops with a galaxy s, so was wondering if it is possible to get it on the hd2
cheers

I was under the impression that Galaxy S came preinstalled with Swype. Correct me if im wrong - So, if thats the case, just get the swype 480x800 apk. I have seen its apk here in xda.

Or join swype beta... I got an invite the next day with a download link.

DroidX multitouch keyboard port to Desire ?

Seen this floating around and have to say it looks pretty snazzy, so was wondering whether or not anyone with mad programming skills would be able to port it over to/for the Desire?

Heard its working in the Incredible, and with the dump of the Droid X available, its only a matter of time

Can this be reposted on another site?

rapidshare dont work to well for me.
This works great. But vibrate does not work... yet
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
vibration actually works but it's almost unnoticeable...
great keybd.. in symbols "&" symbol is "&amp" don't know why??
When i installed it my data usage went sky high about 0.1mb per second dunno what it was doing but i'm glad i saw this in time.
Got it now writing this now with it. Works well just missing. More feel from the vibration and it would been better.

Which OS you using? Stock SenseUI? Really want to try this on Froyo but don't know the first thing about porting or programming
I am using modacos custom rom r3.1 with the Detox theme from cubanso.
(Eclair 2.1) sadley not froyo.
Holy smoke it is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! If only it worked on froyo..
I don't know if its just me, but what multi touch features does it have?
And for the ones that wants to know how it looks here is a screenshot.

First impression is medium. I make a decent amount of mistakes. But it looks good and has voice input (which I don't really use but whatever)

You took those words right out of my mouth...
To me, it looks okay compared to the stock but doesn't compare to the HTC_IME mod theme I'm using or BetterKeyboard. Sensitivity also seems lower. I need to read up on what exactly its special features are yet...

tried it, don't get on with the looks as much as the IME_MOD one.
Found the multitouch to be ok, it was inaccurate with letters on the same line. Tbh I think the implementation is unnecessary but its not bad
no vibrations
I have been working on porting this for a while. To check the full status of whats what, refer to this thread. Link
And yes i was able to get this *sorta* working on froyo. keyword *sorta*
Edit: Nevermind, read the post haha.
Thanks, will keep an eye out on it.

here you go http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=709763, its only the launcher (which is the main component of touchwiz anyway). Have fun
p.s. i recommend using a stock n1 rom since people using this have had the most sucess with it
I think we have enough smart devs here to make it possible. It's only a question of whether they want it or not

Thanks for this, it's quite good.
i dont know.. The UI just seems very useless. It's like Samsung just wanted to be different and put something on top of Android. Maybe later down the road.. but I definatly prefer the devs focus more on Sense and Stock but TBH I'm just happy I have android on my HD2.
100% agreed Samsungs android customizations are total junk.
It's the screen the makes the phone, not the Android layout IMO, but taste differ.
Fair enough friend at work just got one and thought the layout was pretty good so just thought if u can then y not

[Q] htc hd2 greek keyboard

is there a greek keyboard for my htc hd2??
htc hd2 greek keyboard
I have the same question.
To be more specific I'm looking for an English-Greek Keyboard for HTC HD2, Manila Version 2.5.20181527.0, ROM Version 3.14.707.3 (04666) WWE.
I'd be grateful if I had an answer or help on my question.
I your a custom keyboard called SwiftKey 3. Has many different styles and languages. It's available in the play store. I think it's on sale at the moment too. There is a trial version so maybe give the trial a go and see if that is what your looking for.

Thanks for your reply.
I'm afraid this "SwiftKey 3" is for Android phones. My HTC HD2 is a WM Phone.

Arabic keyboard for Stock ICS ROM

Hey guys,
Not sure if that's the correct Forum to post this thread, so please let me know if I got it wrong.
Basically I jumped to the stock ICS ROM for the 7.7" Tab, and was wondering how can I get Arabic support for the stock Samsung keyboard. All aftermarket keyboards are not actually to my liking and I quickly got bored of them all They're impractical at all.
My device is rooted and ready for any action
Please let me know your thoughts guys.
Thanks

Use "Go Keyboard" and install "Arabic for Go Keyboard" from market.
You can use ICS keyboard from market or swiftkey for tablets
Thanks guys.
Go keybaord is too crowded for me, Swift on the other hand looks promising though
