Make sure if you are running A cm6 based build that You go into
Settings
cyanogenmod settings
User interface
accelerometer rotation
Select either 90 180 and 270
one of those must be check or the screen will not rotate.
This is only with Cm6 builds.

Rebooting option on endkey long press?

I tried another android rom the other day and when i long pressed on the endkey to shut down and restart the system, to my surprise there was a reboot option and it actualy worked. I tried most of the reboot apps and widgets in the market and none of them work on the darkstone im running.
Is there any way i can get that reboot on endkey long press in the darkstone, or some app confirmed to work on the rom?

What are you trying to tell me here?

Guess nobody else knows what that link is supposed to supply. Still looking and searching on how to get the reboot option on long press end key.
If that link was meant to use that rom, thats the one i tried and had the reboot option
Google disabled the Reboot function on the Nexus One, and Darkstone's HD2Froyo v2 is based on the Nexus One, so the function is not there.

Swype not working after reboot

I reboot my phone multiple times a day to swap batteries....
Every time I reboot the phone, I have to change inputs to get swype working again. I've tried unistalling swype and the installer, downloaded it again from my swype beta account and same things happens.
I'm running damage control also, anyone else have this problem or a fix?
I didn't even know you could get swype on the Evo. lol Time to use that search button......
Same issue here lately.not sure what change caused it. Seems to be related to android 2.2 Vs 2.1

Just found this here on the swype forums... Seems to be a common problem: http://swype.uservoice.com/forums/5...senseui-devices-multi-touch-stops-working-aft

Thank you, sir. I'm at work and my searches kept getting interrupted. I am now looking for reasons to text so I can Swype, and I've only had it for 20 minutes....lol. I like it............I like it A LOT.
I have been rebooting a lot lately and have swype selected as keyboard. I'm running cm6 and never had to do input to put back on...

i had this issue in 2.1 as well. though not nearly as often. its kind of a pain if you reboot a lot etc like i do flashing roms kernels themes etc etc etc) i have just learned to put it into my process now lol. factory reset wipe flash boot fix swype
switch to your other keyboard then switch back to swype, does the trick for my everytime
Not sure if anyone has said this but I know that with dc 3.5, there is an issue with swype after reboot. You can fix it by switching keyboard back to stock and then back to swype.

yea i think most of us know that but the problem is if you reboot a lot it gets pretty annoying to keep haing to do this
well ig uess for those that didnt know a "work around" this helps.

I tried this but no go

i can't get this to work...help please?
Are you rooted? Do you have a custom recovery? You could try simply wiping the accelerometer stats. What indications are you getting that its not working? Have you tried downloading "bubble" from the market and seeing if it works? Little vague with the real problem.

Yes i'm rooted, i'm using cursdroid 6.35 recovery...i did wipe accelerometer status like all the other attempts people had to fix this. I know it doesn't work since
a) Teeter doesn't work..ball just stays there
b)Abduction...the game doesn't work...can't move side to side
c) SMS or anytime i have want to go landscape nothing happens.
only time it goes into landscape is say i open a game in landcape, then i back out..stays landscapes for a while (say i go to advance task manager) then when i hit the home screen reverts back.

Not all applications full screen?

Recently installed Android on my phone everything works perfectly except for one thing. Some installed applications will not boot "full screen". Meaning almost half of the screen is black even when i turn the display. Can't find any related information to this when i searched the forum. Any idea's?
Using Radio 2.08.50.05
Rom HyperDroidV1.5

+1, don't forget to reboot afterwards, it won't work without that.
Pongster clearly refers to this matter in post #1 on his build page under the 'Tips @ Tricks' section.

Auto Rotate not working

So I've had this problem ever since Android was ported the HD2.
Whenever I am in Android, auto rotate does not work for me.
I've tried in WM 6.5 and in WP7 and auto rotate works perfectly in both.
I've used Task29 and then installing a fresh Android ROM but to no avail. Both SD and NAND builds will not rotate.
I have the auto rotate setting checked so that's not the problem. If anyone has any suggestion/solution please let me know and thanks in advance.

Auto rotate doesn't work with all apps, most home apps for example have disabled this by default. Did you try rotating it in several apps, like the browser?
What build are you using?
I'm using tytung's gingerbread 2.1.
It doesn't matter which apps I use. None of them rotate. I've tried plenty of messaging apps including the stock one, several browsers including the stock, and games such as Abduction do not work.
Thanks again for any assistance.

Take a look at this topic
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=894511
It has a lot of helpful information.
I checked out the thread you posted but no luck. Hopefully someone can help to find out what the culprit is.
I'll keep an eye on the other thread as well.

One thing Ive noticed with the Android builds, is that the auto rotate lags. What I mean by that is that it takes 10-15 seconds on my HD2 using DFT's 2.2 NAND Rom. If its stuck in 1 mode, turn the phone to the opposite and just hold it there for a good 15-20 seconds and see if it auto rotates.
Works for me when I do this but it is quite irritating!
Held the phone sideways for about a minute and still no luck.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
