Just a tease for y'all. Zifnab and I hacked this up tonight.
Notice no USB cord? Notice phone going to sleep on it's own? Notice the lack of connection because my Eris is a POS and has a bad radio.
Yes thats nexus one lwp full working, in nexus launcher (launcher2), with an unpatched Gallery3D with rotation working.
Yes 3D is no longer an issue on our phone.
PS My rooted eris is now officially dead, there will be no more dev work from me unless I can obtain a replacement.
that is freaking AWESOME, ill keep an eye out for the release.
but on the other hand it sucks that ur eris finally bit the big one..
on another note tho where the hell can i get that live wallpaper. I CANT FIND IT!
i got about 13 other live walls..but that one.
That live wallpaper is one of the previous non working ones. Hence why this is special. You can get it out of our next release.

Great work by the way, im new to the community, but your work is amazing. Im still in the process of hackinslashing my own rom on my phone, and the more i play the more i cant wait to dig into the internals.

Well to further the cause, if you are in the states, I could use my warranty on your phone. Its not locked down to my serial or anything. It will cost 75$ to replace, maybe get some donations from here to help me pay for it . And its not the Verizon one, its through squaretrade. If you want me to look further into it, send me a PM and we can talk more.

Its not fraud. I am covered under 1 phone. Does not state it has to be my phone. At least where I read and when talked to their agents. As long as no physical damage, its good to go.
But if you dont want to, I understand. Can we start a donation for you? Or you just fed up with the idiots and wanna move on?

Honestly, our phones will likely not see it anytime soon. My guess is FroYo is what they are refering to and I doubt we will get an official FroYo release.

Don't be so certain about that. We won't see if from Sprint anytime soon (probably never)...but our devs here will definitely port Froyo once they can get their hands on it from somewhere.

A reporter for TechCrunch website states he has had the OTA?
I'l put 2 and 2 together here and i know this smells very odd now indeed. Do not get your hopes up, and really do smell a clever ploy to attract some users.
Who says it was OTA anyway? surely guys like TechCrunch would be given a sniff anyway weeks ago?
Just my 2 cents.
When running for example Cyanogen, I have two questions someone perhapse can answer:
1) Where do I find the option to check for an OTA-update, cant find it in About in Settings?
2) Will I haveto install a stock rom to be able to do the OTA?

Yes. It's an Update, not a replacement for your custom ROM. The only way you'll even get the option for an OTA update is if you flash your ROM back to stock and wait.
Or, wait for a few more hours for someone to release a rooted ROM, which is assuming the Techcrunch link is for real, which I doubt it is.

im sure an update.zip will appear within 24 hours of the first hundred confirmed OTA's so don't fret
i bet it´s fake! and techcrunch gets some extra credits for additional clicks...
I know everyone is all in a hurry to get the OTA for FROYO. I also would like FROYO but enough is enough with all the posts. The fact is most of the people on this forum wont get the OTA anyway because they will either wait for a build from eugene or bionix or they cant get OTA because they are not running stock firmware anyway. Just be patient. I would rather wait till a good version of FROYO without a ton of bugs comes out than have them push some crap FROYO on us and then have to have 10 updates to make it work correct. This is just my thought Flame me if you want. Me personally Im waiting for eugene or bionix to come out with the versions they will mod anyway. So do us all a favor and stop with the I heard through my uncles cousin twice removed about FROYO.

Motorola just sent me an email asking to participate in a soak test on 4G.
I no longer have my 4G having switched to ATRIX 2 but thought someone would be interested to know there is an update coming. Hopefully ICS for which I unsuccessfully waited so long as well...

If you're not too skittish about RSD Lite, this is how I do it and it works like a charm (about 3 or 4 times now) but make for freakin' sure you grab the right SBF or you're screwed.

No mistake but I can't participate since they want the imei of the phone I don't have. I am letting you know cause I really appreciate ATRIX 4G community on xda.

Yes it's for real! They want to SOAK Test! Most probably it's going to be 2.3.7! Maybe some minor battery fix, wifi improvements. So pretty sure it's not ICS. Anyways, good to SOAK test. I've applied to SOAK test. I hope they'll roll out the update soon.
