[Q] Transfer data from pc to phone problem - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

I have a problem (on evry build) when I want to transfer something from pc to phone. When you look at the phone can not see it, this is annoying because every time I have to restart the phone when I want to transfer data to it. I tried everything. Am I the only one with this problem? Some suggestions?

I had that same problem, what I did was booted into winmo then turned on ActiveSync and opened my memory card and just dragged and drop. It has worked for me every since.

[Q] sd card and alarm/time problem

heey everybody!
after 2 weeks i finaly got android working, thanks to the usefull information here on xda.
hereby i want to thank all of the dev for the great work they are doing for us noobs in this thingy on HD2.
but here are my only 2 small problems with android hope that some one can help me out with this. and 1 with windows since android.
running android all day, but would be nice if i could fix this also right away.
when i charge my battery, whille driving in my car.
i can not play music on my sd card because it say's that it is ussed as mass storage.
and the second problem is that i can't change the alarm that is already set on 6, 7 & 8 o'clock.
it's not set on, but would like to change it to use the alarm.
and the windows problem is that when i switch back to windows my clock is forwarded a few hour's every time.
for the usefull info (what i've noticed while reading this forum)
i'm using:
HD2 Europe
ROM-versie:1.72.821.0 (vodafone HTC update)
radio 2.15.50.14 (from xda)
spl-2.08.hspl 8g xe
and im using the desire android from froyo not sure wich one, got it from a collegue. because his HD2 was working fine with it.

already did that afew time's but that doesn't have any affect
I have the same problem!
While you charge the battery of the HD2 via USB when driving in your car, the sd-card will be unmounted.
It is not possible to set android to "charge only" if you charge battery via USB in car! This is a bad bug. You cannot use a navi-program like Navigon AND charge the battery at the same time. Older builds from darkstone, shubcraft, ... donĀ“t have this issue.
Anyone with a hint or fix?
CU
EDIT: A user from another thread gave me the hint for a workarround:
1. unmount your sd-card
2. plug-in USB-cable (with power from your car)
3. mount sd-card
4. it works
nice, thank u gonna try it immediatly.
was thinking about it. but didn't try
hope there will be a fix for it later, it is a bit of a hussle.
some lad's know how to fix my other prob's?
+1

[Q] T-Mobile HTC HD2

Hi i have a T-mobile HTC HD2 and i need some help. I have tried many builds including NAND and SD card android builds and also windows 7 but i seem to have a problem with my phone constantly freezing inside android or even when im trying to load MAGLDR sometimes it does a weird vibrate about 7 times. This is my main issue i tried to do task29 and restore everything and retry flashing it over but the problem seems to still occur i was wondering if anyone has a similiar problem and can help me diagnose whats wrong. It seemed to work fine before no freezes i dropped my phone several times I am not sure if that would cause it to freeze a lot or not. Thank you
I would highly suggest flashing everything back to stock and seeing if your warranty is still in effect, sounds like a possible hardware failure.

I also have to same problem with random dropped signal and just tried to use your attachment. It says the system is down. I was wondering if the problem could just be the phone and not the rom and radio. I have the radio 2.15.50.14 and gingerbread 2.3.3.
Previously a guy said it was the phone. Wich sounds logic. I do know that its not youre nand vers or radio. The bettrr signal programm is temporary down it says.

Random freezes while phone is on standby (DK 4.4, happens on other roms as well)

Hey
I'm running DK 4.4, and my phone just appears to be randomly freezing while it's in my pocket.
I should note this has been happening with other roms as well, so I seriously doubt it's a rom issue.
I'm not overclocked (anymore).
The screen just won't turn on.
People can even call me and to them it seems like it's ringing, but it's not and nothing happens.
The only way to recover from that seems to be to take the battery out and put it back in.
I finally managed to catch it in action and have a look at the log, but I couldn't find anything useful.
Maybe someone else can
logcat:
http://pastebin.com/kS3EnPQa
Also, I should mention the freeze happened a couple of minutes before the end of this logcat, the log keeps updating even though the phone appears frozen.
adb shell doesn't seem to work, though, and neither does adb reboot
Thanks
Hi. Flash an old 2.1 stock RUU original rom, root again and check if the phone works. Sounds like a Software or Hardware issue. Otherwise you can try to wipe phone and test the DK ROM again.
Do you use cache to ext? Download and install free app ap2sd GUI from Market and move cache back to internal. Maybe your sd card should be Checked too.
Do you use the default dk Kernel without over or downclock under 3cxphone MHz?

Fair enough, I'll try it.
I'm curious, though, are you actually seeing something in the log?
As for the cache to ext, my dalvik cache used to be on my SD card, but I already moved it back thinking it might be the issue
EDIT: as for the kernel, I use the original DK one (iirc that's the original HTC kernel?), shouldn't be over/underclocked.
I had this same issue and was about to return my Wildfire, but then the microSD died! So I got a new one and its been fine ever since so maybe try another card if you can and if the above suggestion doesn't work.

Thanks for the suggestions!
I'll be sure to try them. Maybe my Wildfire isn't on its death bed after all
Your not the only one my GFs phone has the dame prob plz do let me know if u manage to fix it. Thx
P.s. her phone's completely stock no root no nothing.

It definitely seems like it's the SD card.
I tried using a different one and I haven't had any problems for about 48 hours.
Will update if it changes
Thanks a lot for the suggestions, guys!

Revolution HD 6.x Bootloop

Since upgrading to Android Revolution HD 6.0 and now 6.1, pretty frequently (3 or 4 times a day) my phone will automatically reboot and then get stuck in a bootloop process. Taking the battery out gets it all up and running again but its pretty annoying and drains the battery when I don't know its doing it in my pocket
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
Actually, I have the same, but since 6.1.1. And I noticed it's not exactly a bootloop. It looks like a hot restart but then the ROM won't show.

Mine kept on waking in my pocket, trying to access the locations app. Flashed virtuous unity instead and find it superior in almost every way. Personal opinion only mind, but I did think arhd was very nice though
i also facing the same problem.. have u all tried to voice out in ARHD thread?
I couldn't at the time because of the ten posts required rule, by the time I'd got enough I was on a new ROM and had forgot to be honest. Plus I reckon my problem was caused by me trying to restore app data through titanium rather than a fault in the ROM itself but then again I could bee wrong... But I did try to find solutions to the problem in the forums and didn't find anything similar to my problem to no avail, not even anyone with something similar so I just moved on figuring that it was probably for the best. Worked out better for me in the end cause I got more practice flashing roms, learned not to try to batch restore apps just in case and learned the benefit of backing up your nice shiny new working ROM
Happened to me once while I was on 5.2.6. It's to do with the date and time setting. Try untick "automatic" and set the time and date manually. Once you manage to shut down your phone you can retick the the automatic option
maybe your phone cant Handel the overclock? try flashing the script to return the CPU to default settings in the same thread you got the ROM from.

Thanks. I'll give it a go. Sorry for not replying to all your help before. For some reason I didn't receive the emails saying replies had been posted on my question
