change android 1.6 by adding bluetooth to transfer files and applications on the SD card ...
What do you think it is possible?

It's already possible.
Fyodor did with his 0.6.x rom series "a long time ago" an 1.6er AOSP Rom with apss2sd and Bluetooth File Transfer.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=644616
If you mean 1.6 with HTC Sense: It seems never possible to enable Bluetooth File Transfer unless we get the kernel sources from HTC.
Apps2sd is already enabled on some Sense Roms. Take a look in the Threads under Click Android Development

Installation
Use a Windows Mobile ROM that is known to work with Android (I am using Miri's WM6.5.x XtraLight for fast booting into Android)
Use a Radio version that is known to work with Android (I am using Leo_RADIO_2.12.50.02_2)
Download one of the Android builds above
Extract it to the root of your SD card
Start "\Storage Card\haret.exe" (in fact haret.exe is BatchLaunch)
Android autoboot
Install Gen.Y DualBOOT for starting Android into your Windows Mobile
Reboot your Windows Mobile
If Gen.Y DualBOOT is not loaded on Windows Mobile boot create a shortcut of the Gen.Y tool and place it under "\Windows\Startup\", then reboot again
Switching Android builds without data loss
At first: INVEST THE COUPLE OF MINUTES TO MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR "\Storage Card\Android\" FOLDER!!!
Believe me, even if the strategy is perfect, there are other reasons to fail like filesystems and others.
HAVING A BACKUP IS THE BEST STRATEGY!
Method #1 (the simplest)
Replace everything in your "\Storage Card\Android\" folder but keep "data.img" as this is where your settings and market apps reside in.
Method #2
Use third party apps like described in this thread.
Bluetooth devices working/not working
Working:
Ford car system
Benchmark results
Quadrant BASIC build: 1485
Quadrant SENSE build: 1478
Reporting errors/problems
To have a fair chance of finding errors/problems you report with my builds please posts the build you are using and it's version.
This helps to give faster support and improve the builds.

Are you still uploading the sense version? megaupload keeps telling me that the file is currently not available.
Edit: works now
What is not working?
Can you please list the things that are not working? or is this a perfectly functional ROM?

Forget about the screenshots, just the simple HTC Desire style.
For the BASIC build, just think of the SENSE build but without all the HTC apps, so without the pull down unlock slider and very minimalistic.

No, everything already uploaded. You get the download link AFTER you have uploaded something to MegaUpload.
Just tested it again, works like expected.

Check back in about half an our or an hour. I am currently uploading to Rapidshare.
Any chance you could upload a version without the HTC theme? There are hardly any builds with the original light grey/green Android theme which I prefer.
Will check this out though, if only to see if the battery life is any good.
hey can u tell us the info about what is working or not and also the memory ram zimage that you are using? thanks

The same old well known limitations as ever:
- No 720p support with EVo Camera and Camcorder
- Neocore and some other apps can not be installed, currently investigating this with davlvik debugger.
Camera flashlight is working for me, Flashlight app is not. Will be exchanged in next version if I find a good flashlight app.

Take a look at the changelog info about the used kernel.
It's the latest official git kernel from today using full RAM.
Hey,
Thanks for this - going to make it my first (proper) Android on HD2 build I think as it seems the most up-to-date with Sense.
One request - could you mirror this on something other than Megaupload? For some reason I'm currently only getting 5kbps (dialup speeds!) from Megaupload, everything else is fine. I will help mirror it everywhere afterwards once I get it!
Cheers!
Edit: Just seen you've put RS links up as I posted this - on the case, thanks!

I am currently messing around with investigating android settings and how to built-in into a release.
I have added this to my dev plan once I completly understand how and where settings especially for themes are stored.

Beat me to it, gives an error when trying to enable it. Other than this looks like a good build, very similar to FroyoStone.
How about Bluetooth Headset for calls?
Is it working in these builds?
wifi does not work
going back to mattc NexusLeo v1 sry
This build is very fast however (as mentioned before) Wifi dosent work, also data dosent work for me other than syncing. Back to froyostone for me.

[Q] a question about Kernels

hello i am actually new to android, and i just fell in love with it,i am using
- Energy.Leo.23678.Sense2.5.Cookie.Aug.18
- mattc Leo + Froyo w/Sense RC1.5b
- radio 2.12
i have a noob question and i tried searching for an answer but i couldn't find one, i'd appreciate it if someone could direct me to a thread that answers my question
i read somewhere on the internet that i can download something called Kernel or a zimage and copy it to the android folder on my sd card so that i get a better performance from android on my phone, my question is what is a Kernel and how can i get it, does it really make any difference?
another question, i have somewhat a low call volume sometimes,so should i change the radio or would downloading a new kernel help me get a better call volume?
sorry if the questions are dumb but i am new to all this
thank you
The kernel is the software that allows the linux system (android or ubuntu) to communicate with the different hardware pieces of your device. The main step of android on the HD2 is development of the kernel. As the devs work on the kernel they release new versions. You probably read that updating your kernel would help performance.
I personally do not update the kernel myself. As the various builds are updated, the chefs will incorporate the latest kernel updates. As long as you are updating builds from time to time, you don't need to worry about updating your own kernel.

Hi,
I'm running mattcfroyosense1.6b-ppp this uses kernel michyprima 2.6.32.9 #70
There is an update for this kernel michyprima 2.6.32.9 #70 (r8)
How can I add this kernel to my Andriod? It is easy to put the Zimage file in my Android folder, but how do I add the .ko files?
Under the Shubcraft 1.4d install I could just add those files to the Android\root\system\lib\modules folder but in the mattcfroyosense1.6b-ppp I don't have these folders?
Thnx
You can just copy the kernel and overwrite the existing one in the android folder. Then you put the appropriate drivers in the matching folder of the root file in the android folder. To be completely honest With you, from my experience, you are much better off waiting for the chef to upgrade the build and use the included zimage(like mentioned above). You will have much less problems that way.
As far as the volume is concerned, buy louder volume hack from the market-it is a must have app and gives you alot more control over different aspects of the volume for various parts of the system.

Thnx for your reply.
Can I add the drivers to the rootfs.img then?
There is usually a root folder in the android folder. If you explore this folder (i.e. Root/system/lib/modules...), you will be able to drop the modules that come with the new zimage over to of the ones that are there'. Then when you start android it will load the modules you placed in the root folder.

[Q] Best Tattoo-Compatible ROM w/Bluetooth File Transfer

Okay, so i hope im not wrong - im a complete noob with Android phones.
So yesterday i brought my Tattoo, and while playing with its features today and yesterday i found it did not support bluetooth file transfer .
So i googled it, and got a bit of a headache, and then i saw about ROMS! Im guessing that i need a custom ROM to get access to Bluetooth File Transfer. Soo, which ROM available (preferably a complete one ) has Bluetooth File Transfer available and doesnt sacrifice anything else (i.e. Camera etc.).
Or is there a way to get Bluetooth File Transfer without flashing a ROM?
Btw i have rooted my phone.
As i said, complete noob here - so please be slow with me XD
BT file transfer will only work on a 2.1 or 2.2 ROM. And the camera and FM radio doesn't work on both of them. So there's definitely a trade off. If you can sacrifice camera and FM radio for BT file transfer, then check out Kiljacken's 2.1 ROM.

you can download the fyodor-froyo-tattoo_v0.7.2c.zip LINK: http://uploadmirrors.com/download/TVINTHZI/fyodor-froyo-tattoo_v0.7.2c_1.zip (no camera or FM)
or you can download this fyodor-aosp-tattoo_v0.6.4.2.zip LINK: http://rapidshare.com/files/401880261/fyodor-aosp-tattoo_v0.6.4.2.zip
I installed the v0.6.4.2 on my tatto and it works extra...
the only problem is that it has 5 screens and not so many widgets...
other stuff works great...
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Second day:
the rom works fine with out any problems.
Installed few games and few software and when I run them all in the same time it does not lag at all...
the trouble is that there are just a few widgets installed with the ROM so I had to install widgets from market (which are not that good) so if anyone has good widgets please PM me or pos it down here...

[Q] Android ROM Htc Touch HD

Hi
Is there a ROM Upgrade (ANDROID 2.1 or 2.2) for HTC TOUCH HD?
I know there are some files like haret.exe but i like to do it with this
program: rom update utility
( you can search it on google images)
I have upgrade my HTC TOUCH HD to htc touch hd with sense
and now i like to do that but than with android!
Is that possible????
Thanks a lot
and so sorry for my english !!
no, currently there is no complete stand alone nand android rom for the blackstone since it is not yet stable and many features are not working (like bluetooth or 3.5mm). but afaik it is being worked on so there might actually one day be a full android rom for the nand instead of the sd card.
Moved thread to android section

Hey,
I'm sry about my question (and my english, just got "school-english-skills" from Germany, a few years ago ), tried to do the search but found nothing I'm able to understand...
A good friend of mine has a HTC HD Touch (Blackstone?) and wants to flash a "stable" Android Version on it. I'm able to flash the HTC Magic, Wildfire, Desire & co. but I'm not able to understand what I've got to to, wich files I need and what I should do with that.
Could anyone help me ? Linked files that I need and a short instruction would be very very great !
(Please do me a favour and don't say something like "use search" and so on, I need to understand what I have to do with wich files )
Many thanks in advance
There is no flashable android rom for Blackstone yet
exactly. as of now, there is no android rom for the internal flash (nand) to replace the current windows mobile os. but there are still ways to get android working alongside winmo, by simply putting it on the sd card.
basically, what you need is a rom, haret and ts-calibration+startup.txt.
for the rom itself, there are dozens of different roms around this very forum section. look for the most recent ones and compare them by the features needed. some of them hardly have any support for the blackstone hardware, when it comes to camera, sound, BT, 3.5mm jack, calling... and are purely for fun and apps, some others are more suitable for everyday use. make sure to read a few posts of user feedback to get what you want.
most roms come with their own haret package (the winmo program to boot android), which, like the rom itself, needs to be extracted to the sd card root.
ts-calibration is the file needed to store the touch screen calibration, so you don't have to align it yourself, which can be tricky in android.
startup.txt stores the boot commands, which can be altered to your needs, have a look at a few of them and pick the best one (which seems difficult at first, but you can search any command in there to find out what it means). some come with overclocking or different values which can speed up or slow down the device, it set wrong.
and, to sum it all up, here is a tutorial thread describing the whole installation (well, copy) process:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=959831
it is not completely up to date, but you can use the same tutorial, the same haret, ts-calibration and startup for other, newer roms, like blazn 2.2.2 or whatever you want.

[Q] Flashing updates into SD Android

Hello All,
Is there a way to flash zipped files into Android 2.2 installed on HD Mini SD, I would like to know a possible way other than going into the non existing recovery mode to insert files related to Arabic characters supported and I have been guided to ask in the developers section
thank u
Look, The Process is in development... so there isn't flashing updates here right now.
but it seems that you need Arabic Android support, you should try Cyanogen's Android and this can write arabic:
http://www.multiupload.com/EHMFK42U2U
thx a lot mate, i tried it and its working fine, although i preferred the FroYo interface but this one does the job
There is no CWM in SD builds. And its pretty pointless because you can add and modify the files from Wimo or PC in opposed to NAND roms
very true codiak, but the issue is that i am a normal user, i dont know how to add the files i needed to the SD build
just wait for the Nand ROM... i think project will complete soon,
then you can do what you want
crossing fingers and waiting
