Problem with Android after update - Hero, G2 Touch General

So basically my girlfriend did an update of her Android OS today, installed, the phone restarted automatically, started loading something and the loading bar stayed at 3/4 for like 2hrs. So she tried to turn it off using the button but didn't work so she took out the battery. Then after turning it on, the phone stays at the "Hero" homescreen and doesn't do anything. I tried pushing the Home & Power button all together and installing a new ROM but all I get is "No Signature" and "Verification Failed". Anyone got a clue how can I make her little hero work?

Use one of the RUU .exe files to reinstall.

HELP!! HTC Home Customizer 2.1 left my HTC Touch (Sprint) completely frozen

Hi,
I installed HTC Home 2.1 Version from the following site.
http://www.pocketemu.com/download.php?view.20
After installation the device restarted and left my phone completely disabled. Nothing works, the backlight just stays on, cannot click anywhere, doesnt receive sprint connection, PC cannot detect the device so no Active Sync and hence cannot upgrade ROM aswell. Hard resets brings it back to the same screen....completely frozen.
Please help!!
Thanks,
Apurv

By hard reset, you are referring to pressing and holding the red+green+stylus in reset hole all at the same time until the gray screen appears on the screen? If so, that should be reloading your ROM and removing everything on there (basically back to first startup with the last ROM/Stock ROM that was flashed to it)
Otherwise, take your SD card and attach/access it from your PC apart from the phone, copy over the ROMs *.NBH file you want or are currently using over to it and rename it VOGUIMG.nbh and put the SD card back into the phone, power it on and press and hold the power+camera+stylus in hole until the gray screen shows up and then follow the directions there - it is referred to as flashing from bootloader mode

Thanks!
Thanks a lot! I was under the impression that putting stylus in the hole is hard resetting
I did the actual hard reset and the phone is back to manufacturers settings
Thanks
Apurv,
No problem, glad its back up and running for ya

Don't try to reinstall 2.1. Just use 1.0 final.

Bootloader no USB?!

Hi all, started to try and get phone onto android last night.
Followed the guide for HSPL3 then started started to update radio but got error about USB!
Booted into boot screen to see whats going on (volume down) and it wont go past loading! just sits saying loading!
The device boots ok and i get windows (eventualy! if i wait) Once booted into windows USB works but in the bootloader i cant get USB!
I have pressed volume down and red button and in white box it stays on serial!
I have googled for hours any pointers?

grey screen, writing in blue? sounds like it thinks you have a rom on your sd card. try it without the sd card in.
Thanks for you suggestion - tired that already should have said.
The issue is fixed however - I took out SIM aswell as SD, manualy booted to loader. Waited 5 min then it changed to USB! Quickly opened HSPL3 an re flashed.
Issue was still the same! So followed same procedure and used HSPL 1.6 that fixed it! I can then flash with a rom suitable for Android!
Flashed 4 min later, put Android on - now loving my new phone - its amazing the difference! This is how the HTC HD2 should have been!
heh, lucky you, i've tried android on 6 different occasions now, first four times i wasted some hours and never got it to boot, 5th and 6th time it worked, but when i restarted, the phone wouldn't restart without a hard reset, so i'm not touching it again for at least another three months.
Thanks. Your solution worked great. As soon as I pulled the SIM and waited a few minutes it popped right up. You should mark this thread title as solved
@samsamuel try using nand its alot easier to install and there are some great builds on this website!

Hi there,
the problem is not solved for me!
I flashed my HD2 several times before, using winXP. Now I got a new laptop with
Win 7 64 bit. I want to flash my phone with a WM6.5 Dutty ROM. The phone syncs fine when running but when it switches to bootloader, the laptop doesn't recognize the phone anymore. It does not switch to USB and on the Laptop I get the message that there is no driver for "Qualcomm CDMA technologies MSM"
Help please, I tried to find some answers but couldn't find anything!
Thanks.

[Q] htc hero does nothing

Best XDA.
I have a problem with my htc hero.
namely, it hangs at the HTC screen.
and get notified every time 'the process stopped unexpectedly com.htc.bg HAS Please try again.ik can now do anything with my phone.
and my USB connection does not ...
I hope you can help me
it happens when I wanted to flash another ROM
So does it start up at all? Can you get into fastboot by turning on holding vol- and power?
Either do all wipe options when before flashing a new Rom,... or run a HTC ruu in fastboot then start from scratch.

[Q] Problem Flashing RUU

My housemate has a Legend, totally stock on 1.31, which will not update OTA
It downloads the file, gives and error about the SD card, reboots as if to flash, then hangs when trying to read the file from the SD card (I assume).
I thought I would try with an RUU. When I run it, it detects the Legend no problem, but then it reboots to the bootloader, HTC comes up on the screen of the Legend but the PC (Win 7 64 Bit) wont detect it. It counts up to 90 seconds and then error's...
If I unplug the device when it's counting to 90, on the Legend the 'HTC' disappears from the screen and it returns to the bootloading screen, with the only option RUU. I can't select anything though. I plug the USB back in and it goes black with HTC on the screen again.
Any ideas of what I can do?
Thanks.
No ideas? Is it perhaps a driver issue?
Did you try drivers from sdk?I'd try that...

Yes, tried that
According to this thread -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=646663
I need to get it to show 'My HTC' rather than a bootloader driver? I can't seem to get it to do this though

"dead" Tattoo - need solution

Dear friends, my HTC Tattoo is having a big problem with is start.
This happened when I tried to install, via market, the opera browser and noticed that the machine crashed. Every time I trie to start the phone, the android puppet appears, then the HTC logo and then the phone stays "frozen", not starting the operating system.
I also tried to recover the phone (which is root) through the usual key combination but doesn't give anything.
Is there any method to install the original android 1.6? I don't now if i can assume that the device is formatted but how do I put the original system (just the same as as it left the factory) back on?
Someone has an idea that might help? I really need help because I dare to stay with a expensive brick...
Thanks in advance, yuri
Sorry but i did not understand what's happening when press power+volume down: is recovery there? Hboot?nothing¿?

Dear
I think without rooted this is not possible. So root your tattoo & install the original rom again. I also installed many rom s like as gingerbread. froyo. cm7,joyOS but still i have original android 1.6 installed.
Try to flash official RUU if your PC sees your phone
