[Q] How do I intergrate a html document into the code - Android Software Development

I am currently working on a new app and this is my first ever app I have attemped to make with the android os.
I am using eclipse 3.6 and using android 1.5 version as the base to make the app as compatible as I can with all android phones.
I am a newbie to java and I read a few tutorials which helped me get the app up and working but I am using webview using iframes and have the html document hosted online but I would like to have it intergrated into the app itself so that I will not have to worry if a lot of people use the app will not bring down the website.

[Q] Need help creating an app.

Hey everyone, I'm new to XDA forums. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me I want to create an android app for a forum site. It would be similar to the app for this site. I know basics but this I think is out of my league. Any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks alot.
The simple (and easier) way to go about it is to create an app that has one activity with a webview in it that points to your forum site(mobile view).
That way you can have a downloadable app with a nice icon and everything but you don't have to reinvent the wheel of your forum in java.
like a link app easy to make in appinventor

[App Preview] elbuntuPT (Pivotal Tracker) App

Hi Guys,
I am currently developing a Pivotal Tracker application for the Ubuntu Touch.
What works as of yet:
- View projects
- Recent Activity List
- View Backlog/Icebox lists
- View task(STORY) details.
- Story/Task Removal
I am now working on both the UI (because after last SDK update layout went AWOL) and adding new functionality including:
- Assigning Tasks (Currently not bug free)
- Add new task (Story)
- Add comments
- Upload files (although I gotta wait abit for this one)
- Auto refresh
I am putting the code up on github soon but the code is on my office PC and i'm at home so Monday/Tuesday,

My Website:
http://elbuntuprojects.com
Also once this app is okay and the basics are all in I will be making a GitHub app using the same base code (I,E Getting requests)
Hope you like and remember again, this is still in development so the UI and functionality will become better over time.
Exactly what i was looking for.!

Gnome 3 as a webapp IPK Available. :)

So I have always thought gnome 3 would be a great tablet interface for big tablets and I found a port of gnome 3 wrote in JavaScript and available to test and use on a webpage(that I'll share later).
So I took the Google Music Wrapper and modified it to get a full screen experience, and since its wrote using enyo you can scroll on Firefox and through the app drawer instead of tapping on the scroll bar.
At the moment I'm running it on his server, but I plan with help of any developer to build the packages for webos and create a server on the touchpad so you can have the OS native.
The ipk I have created will be uploaded shortly to test(when I get home), the cool thing is you don't need to multiboot because its an application!
If any developer wants to help please PM me.

Running java apps

I have a brand new Note 3 and I'm loving it! I had a crazy idea today and I think it might just work. I use a Java program at work called ASDM. It's a Cisco firewall utility and it runs straight from java. I've ran the program on windows and copied the jar files over to Linux and on Mac and they work fine after a little tweaking of the start command and switches. I'm wondering if these phones have a full legitimate version of Java that would be capable of running such a program. I'm not looking to install it as an android app, I just want to have a shortcut to the file and run it.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Has nobody tried running java programs ?

Nope, but im interested
Ok. From what I've found java isn't natively implemented on android. Can anybody else confirm? I know the browsers have java support. Is that functionality embedded into the actual browser?

App Programming on Android

I'm learning how to make apps, and I do not have a computer. I need to know how I can program on an Android. Mostly what I want right now is an app that can pit together everything into an "APK ". What I'm doing is just messing with an app I have and then I would like to put it back together. Sorry if this is not the right forum.

You may try using AIDE which is a development environment running on Android itself.
AppInventor which is a web-based development tool for novice users mıght also be useful.
Great Idea but how can I decompile with AIDE. I háve it, but cannot decompile.
