Any build that I have used from Darkstone has been smooth and fast. You can download the latest "clean" froyo build or the "sense" themed froyo build here:
http://gamesquare.co.uk/froyostone.htm
Imho, the clean froyo build is a bit faster.
i used the max energy co0kie energy ROM for win mo, used hardspl 3, the latest radio, and used the latest froyostone sense build, and the jmz dual boot .cab, everything is working pretty good... when i turn the phone on, i can boot co0kie energy win mo, or android 2.2. now im pretty happy with my device

awesome. your voice calling and speakerphone are working? i almost have the same setup as you except i'm using chucky's rom. voicecalling works perfectly. no echoes no robotic voices. i may try energy rom some time this week although i like chucky's + gtx white theme.

cool, let me know if the voice calling works.
btw, here's a thread over on the android hd2 development section consisting of a growing a list of the fastest and most stable build+ rom combinations including a running list of what does/doesn't work on some builds
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=749110
this should help the OP of this thread as well.
calls sound great, speaker phone works, camera works, camcorder works, bluetooth turns on (havnt tested any pairing yet) flash works, everything seems to work execpt the folowing:
flashlight only works on brightest setting
and when i put the phone to sleep, the keypad led lights stay on, but i read from froyo on a different build that this happens to some people, it could also be a problem with the .cab i installed on win mo, i have it set that whenever win mo is being used/ doing something, the leds stay on, instead of shutting off after 10 seconds, so it could be win mo still is doing some task, like running sense (i have the sense version of android) and thats why the stay on... ill try to figure out the problem soon. (and this doesnt happen when running win mo...)

i'm experiencing the same exact thing but the froyostone dev has stated that this is a known issue and it will be fixed upon the next build
would the next build the fix is in be the agust one, or the next one as of todays date? because yesterday the agust build came out, and i beleive that is the one i have installed, is there a way for me to check which release date i have?
Shubcraft cm6 v1.2 is very fast and stable and 98% off the things work on it...and i think the theme is pretty neat...

I would suspect that whatever the CAB is you have installed probably changes a register (not registry) in the micro controller that controls the keypad and its lighting. As long as this microcontroller doesnt get a reset signal or power loss it is going to keep that register set even when booted into android.
As far as i know when using HARET WinMO is no longer running, but please correct me if im wrong, ive tried to find some detailed info on how HARET works, but haven't found much to date. I always wondered if android was truly running all on its own, or if HARET was something like a vmware translating android calls to winmo api calls with winmo still running the show under it all
Before you boot into Android make sure the bottom keys aren't lit. That's keep your keys from turning on at all in Android.

Yes, haret completely shuts down winmo and boots linux. There is nothing else running when you're using android.
Dual Boot
Can someone help me? I am trying to dual boot but it is not working. I read somewhere that you need to change HKLM/init launch 52 to Launch 62 but there is no Launch 52 on my phone.
I was unsure if this should be posted into the HD2 Q&A, or here in the Android Dev General section, so please forgive me if it is in the wrong location.
I have a TMO Branded HD2 (TMOUS 1024) with LIA Touch of Glass as my WM ROM. I have flashed HSPL by bepe, and I am using Radio 2312.50.02_2
I have an 8 GB SD Card, formatted as Fat32.
I have tried nearly every variant of Android ROMs available for the HD2, and with all of them I am experiencing the same exact problem.
Problem: I run CLRCAD and HaRET, then the phone boots Android just fine. I can connect to the web, sync email and contacts, use live wallpapers, etc. The one thing I can not do is make/receive any phone calls. The phone rings (or dials out if I am initiating the call), but the audio coming through the speaker is substantially below par. For starters, it is very quiet. But it is also very high pitched. It almost sounds like one of the Chipmunks is talking.
This happens with every ROM I have tried, and the few Radio's that I have tried. Can anyone point me into the right direction to hopefully fix this?

Might be your rom.
What Roms have you tired, NRG?
Hi guys,
I had android runing on my mates HD2 for a few months then the phone broke so he has a new HD2. He wanted android again so I have done the following.
Ran;
HSPL 3
Radio_2_12_50_02_2
and for windows he was getting annoyed with having to run clrcard and haret every time so I installed Energy.leo.com2.barebones. wm.build.for.android
This loads windows barebones then flying automatically into android.
Have tried 2 versions of android;
froyostone sense
and
Mdeejay_froyo_sense_v._2.3_clean__15.7z
Both of these boot up fine with no issues and for the first 20 seconds I can use the volume control to make the phone 'beep' with ring volume.
after this the audio just stops working alltogether.
Anyone got an idea why this is?
could the energyrom not autorun clrcard?
***EDIT***
Seems the energyrom didn't run clrcard
Met my mate this afternoon and got him to run it manually and all is well
anyone know of an autorunning app which works?
thanks
Darren

TOMMYYEE - You are BRILLIANT!!.. Have been on for over a week - Sat in front of my computer flashing different ROMS, Radio & Operating... etc and knew it had to be something very simple. No Audio In Android & No Sound is now FULLY WORKING, just be setting off all the sounds in Winmo 6.5 before launching Android. Can't say how ecstatic I felt reboot after reboot and STILL WORKS. Was driving me CRAZY.. THANKS for the Tip!
Ok, I have a HD2 (T9193) flashed to a LEO ROM (RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship) with radio 2.15.50.14 running the Superram version of android.
It works perfectly (calls are good and everything works) for quite a while. It was up for 4 days no reboot. Then randomly I got a call, I could hear them they could hear me, and then it dropped. I call them back and I have robot voice.
I KNOW THE "FIX" is to put it on loudspeaker then end the call immediately. Well this freezes the phone process and android force closes it. The whole phone crawls to a hault, and no matter what I try I cannot get it out of this robo-voice mode.
When this happened before, it took a good 2 or 3 hours of rebooting the phone and finally calls were ok and no robo voice. And it lasted 4 days.
I have run CLRCAD.exe and haret.exe manually and also used the bootloader (which does it for you) and same result once in android. I can make and receive calls just fine in windows mobile after this happens.
I am not sure what to do.
My radio is what people are suggesting, and it works most of the time
My ROM is a suggested ROM
It works most of the time then randomly does not
Loudspeaker then ending the call does not fix it but instead freezes the phone.
I have not seen anyone else post with these issues, so it does appear that a new thread is needed. Any help is appreciated.
i remember that i had this issue too... unfortuantely my solution was to just flash another android build
So you had this issue with the Froyo Superram version, but you switched to something else and now it is working?
Or did you have this issue with some other build before?
What version do you use now, and what is your hardware?
Hello all. I just downloaded NexusHD2-Gingerbread V2.3 and ran it on my HTC HD2 and love the way it runs and looks. I previously had a Desire SD dual boot, which I HATED, but I wanted to try NAND. I REALLY love this, but when I make phone calls, I lose speaker sound and no call volume. If the screen flickers, it does this as well. I installed 2.08 HSPL, and everything seemed to run smoothly, but my only issue thus far and hopefully this is it is the sound issue. Robot voice at times. No ringer, no volume on received or dialed calls, alarms, etc.
Any suggestions on how to correct?
Again, I LOVE this, but this is the only issue I am currently experiencing.

Why do you start a new thread and didn't post your problem in the ROM thread ?
Hint: read first post in the NexusHD2 thread...text below known issues might help

This is my first posting and I tried a search and I could not find it. This is why I had started a new thread. I will check there.
Thanks.
