Hi,
I was wondering if any of you out there are using the bigger battery, the one iwth the kickstand, with the current android builds, and how long does it last? The current one makes it through a day of heavy use, how much does that change with the new battery?
Well I've been using mine pretty heavily all day (bear in mind it's 22:35 where I am as I'm typing this). I've played a couple of YouTube vids, music aswell as check my Facebook and Twitter regularly and the battery is at 49% right now. I also use SETCPU which I'm sure makes a difference. Check my signature for my ROM and Android combo. Hope this answers your question
Can we specify what battery and how many MAH they are?
They're both talking about the official 2300mah extended battery.

That's correct
i just received one of the official 2300mAH batteries, (kickstand case)
i have run it overclocked with mdeejay's 2.1a for over 20hours now. (still using setcpu to turn clock to 384-245 screen off, clock is 119000 and 76800 normal.
doesnt heat up above 80degF
i would say they are worth it. (ebay ~35$US)
Holy mother are those things huge. Do you guys have a case that fits with that bad boy on it? That's just unreal battery life.

For sure, I don't know if it's worth it... decent battery life in android for a phone the size of an xbox 360 controller?!??!?! :}

I'd definitely say it's worth it. and it provides GREAT battery life for overclocked android. You'll realise how much more you can get done from just your phone with this battery. Especially when you're on the move

Thanks for your answer mate. I think it's definitely worth it too in that case. Besides, if the size bothers you, it's not like you have to use it constantly - I mean I'm fine with the standard battery for a normal day, but this would sure come in handy when traveling or sth along those lines.

So i decided to use my old K610i battery in my XPERIA X1 because i noticed that they both use the same voltage 3.6 volts to be exact.
When using the k610i battery the phone seems fine and runs just as smoothly as before - only thing is i cannot charge the battery through the XPERIA X1 because i get an error message saings Alien Battery but that doesnt matter since its could just be use for emergencys or big trips and such - anyways let me know what you think.
Thought i'd give it a go - do ya'll think its safe though? dont want to damage my x1 lol

lol i see your concern lol - i can assure you it isnt c4 lol - tis just the back of the battery - had to flip it round cause the + and - terminals were different to the x1 battery

Lool i sure hope it doesnt!
to be fair i've done a pretty ameture job lol - cardboard and tape!
Any other opinions?
looks fine to me.
they use the same li-po/li-ion cells in all their batteries, so as long the voltage is the same in both batteries it doesn't matter.
current is limited chemically by the li-po/li-ion cells themselves and cannot go above a certain level, which clearly cannot be reached, cause otherwise xperia would not be using a li-po battery.

yep... i rather it was thicker then discharged... I spend lots of time on it, and I'm not fancy dancing with the charger all day long...
First report:
I charged it fully, and used it a bit but I must say that i was drained pretty quickly, but it can be related to my extensive bluetooth use that I began with since I got my Bluetooth gamepad at the same time, and the first two or three charges are never good, they reach their full capacity after some charges. I will report back when I have tried it again, a good sidenote is that it is really lightweight and easy to carry around
THX for report
I am waiting forward to it, mean while i'll buy 2.5 battery [low cost, worth to try...]
waiting for any news from U Mr. Sir
I just brought a spare normal battery from dealextreme and keep it with me for emergency, seems to preform the same as the original, plus side is you get double performance.

If you take a look at his screen, you will see that it seems his screen was on a lot more than your (around 2 times more ?) but consumes a lot less.
So it seems his battery life is realy great... but we don't know how he uses his phone.
Instead of bigging up your ego's, explain how you got that battery life, you guys are nearly as bad as the dicks that brag about quadrant scores, streamline your uselessness.

Without any usage data, the OP is useless. With light use and sporadic data, my battery level is down to 65% after 48h which I consider great. Stock KE2.

Agree useless ... need more information to give any sense.
On my not rooted, non freeze, no Juice Defender, stock KE2 (upgraded to KE7 yesterday) phone:
+1 day heavy use
+2 days medium use
+5 days light use (mainly standby)
man I am tired of this battery screenshot showing off threads..
if someone uses 3 hrs of screen awake time out of 53 hrs..its the same thing as my battery lasting one day with 6+hrs of wake time..
everyone just bull***ts 1+day battery screenshots and fills ups the forum like junk..
some1 shud moderate this..
Recently got an official extended battery for my Sgs2. Getting over 2 days and down to 10% left

Fantastic
show me your screen on time pls. i can do that with stock battery too with low use. 37% doesnt look like you touched your phone much..
that's pretty bad. I can go as long as 3 days with stock battery
That is indeed easily done with a stock battery and stock Samsung or CM7 rom and with moderate use.
Would help if you actually used your phone, anyone can get double that on standby on a normal battery
Besides, shouldn't this topic been placed in the Accessories sub-forums?
blimey and i thought that was good. Onoly get aboout 24hrs with the stock battery....ok i'll crawl back into my hole....

You don't have to do that but people here are much more interested in how much life you get with heavy (screen on) usage, me included. How much was it, if you dont mind me asking?
im not a heavey user, but with medium useage, 15+ downloads, surfing the net on and off through out the day, emails through out the day, f/b updating and numerous texting and a few calls.....i suppose for my normal use on stock battery i got just over 24hrs use so the extra 300Mah is more than welcome. Plus i can slip the original stock battery in my pocket when i go out just incase i need extra umph. Oh well im happy with it...please move to accessories if i have posted in wrong forum..infact MODS if you want to delete this thread then please be my guest....
OK... realistically though, screen on time is the real indicator, along with usage patterns (were you web browsing, gaming? what games? how bright was the screen etc). Screen on time can be found out by Settings > About Phone > Battery Usage > Display = Time on (just in case you weren't aware).
How much did the battery cost?
Oh... and what theme are you using (I'm liking those icons at the top).
besides the screen on time you should also consider the data volume transfered via radio, that kills my battery even faster than the screen although i'm living in a big city with solid coverage...
There is already a big thread on the OEM 2000mah battery.

Hahaha, your signature made me laugh, thx
It's been nearly 27 months of daily and intensive use of my oneplus one and I can't be happier, not even consider buying a new smartphone with the performance of this little one.
I was in fact considering buying a new battery, wasn't noticing any noticeable decrease in battery life but it might just be because of the slowness of the wearing and buying a new one will immediately result in much better results.
I found an app called accubattery that tests wear by measuring charging currents vs charge percentage over time and would love to see how is you battery performing, also wanted to know the results of a new battery if some of you have indeed swapped it already.
Here are some screenshots

Considering a new battery would perform about 97/98% (just guessing) that's about 5% wear every 8 months. Seems like a really slow pace if you ask me.
Would love if some of you guys test it for a couple of charges cycles and share your results vs age of your device.

You shouldn't trust these battery apps. Measure it that way - if the battery lasts long enough for you - you don't need to replace it. Otherwise get a replacement and hope that it's better than your current one.
Right now I get about 3.5-4 hours of SOT with Stylo King's profile and I charge it every night. Perhaps I'll replace the battery within a year but who knows - I might just get an external battery instead.

Sure enough, I'm still OK with the battery life. But it's interesting to know how fast batteries are wearing and how much improvement we get with a new one. This app measures how much capacity it can hold, battery life is a different story.
20% wear might not seem a lot but imagine you have an extra 20% each time your battery dies. Might consider a new one in the near future.
i am really interested to this topic too. for now, you can refer to the answer to this thread of mine.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/how-battery-1-2-years-t3414249
the biggest problem at the moment is that most of battery sold online as original are simply fake and works very bad, so finding a replacement it' s hard. Oneplus support asks for aroun 80€ to replace the battery
