So i decided to use my old K610i battery in my XPERIA X1 because i noticed that they both use the same voltage 3.6 volts to be exact.
When using the k610i battery the phone seems fine and runs just as smoothly as before - only thing is i cannot charge the battery through the XPERIA X1 because i get an error message saings Alien Battery but that doesnt matter since its could just be use for emergencys or big trips and such - anyways let me know what you think.
Thought i'd give it a go - do ya'll think its safe though? dont want to damage my x1 lol

erm.. if u live in the us or are traveling to the us i'd expect u to be on the news once u get to the airport... dunno if its just me but it kinda looks like c4 to me.. but to answer ur question i'd expect it to be safe enough..
lol i see your concern lol - i can assure you it isnt c4 lol - tis just the back of the battery - had to flip it round cause the + and - terminals were different to the x1 battery
Oh wow, that looks ghetto, i hope it wont explode or something .

Lool i sure hope it doesnt!
to be fair i've done a pretty ameture job lol - cardboard and tape!
Any other opinions?
looks fine to me.
they use the same li-po/li-ion cells in all their batteries, so as long the voltage is the same in both batteries it doesn't matter.
current is limited chemically by the li-po/li-ion cells themselves and cannot go above a certain level, which clearly cannot be reached, cause otherwise xperia would not be using a li-po battery.

yep... i rather it was thicker then discharged... I spend lots of time on it, and I'm not fancy dancing with the charger all day long...
First report:
I charged it fully, and used it a bit but I must say that i was drained pretty quickly, but it can be related to my extensive bluetooth use that I began with since I got my Bluetooth gamepad at the same time, and the first two or three charges are never good, they reach their full capacity after some charges. I will report back when I have tried it again, a good sidenote is that it is really lightweight and easy to carry around
THX for report
I am waiting forward to it, mean while i'll buy 2.5 battery [low cost, worth to try...]
waiting for any news from U Mr. Sir
I just brought a spare normal battery from dealextreme and keep it with me for emergency, seems to preform the same as the original, plus side is you get double performance.

Hi,
I was wondering if any of you out there are using the bigger battery, the one iwth the kickstand, with the current android builds, and how long does it last? The current one makes it through a day of heavy use, how much does that change with the new battery?
Well I've been using mine pretty heavily all day (bear in mind it's 22:35 where I am as I'm typing this). I've played a couple of YouTube vids, music aswell as check my Facebook and Twitter regularly and the battery is at 49% right now. I also use SETCPU which I'm sure makes a difference. Check my signature for my ROM and Android combo. Hope this answers your question
Can we specify what battery and how many MAH they are?
They're both talking about the official 2300mah extended battery.

That's correct
i just received one of the official 2300mAH batteries, (kickstand case)
i have run it overclocked with mdeejay's 2.1a for over 20hours now. (still using setcpu to turn clock to 384-245 screen off, clock is 119000 and 76800 normal.
doesnt heat up above 80degF
i would say they are worth it. (ebay ~35$US)
Holy mother are those things huge. Do you guys have a case that fits with that bad boy on it? That's just unreal battery life.

I'd definitely say it's worth it. and it provides GREAT battery life for overclocked android. You'll realise how much more you can get done from just your phone with this battery. Especially when you're on the move

Thanks for your answer mate. I think it's definitely worth it too in that case. Besides, if the size bothers you, it's not like you have to use it constantly - I mean I'm fine with the standard battery for a normal day, but this would sure come in handy when traveling or sth along those lines.
I woke up 20mins ago and I uplugged my evo from the wall...said 99% battery right now it said 83% and there were no apps running or anything,no phone calls no texts, nothing, it just sat on my desk.
anything I can do to optimize battery? I am considering buying one of these http://cgi.ebay.com/2x-3500mAh-exte...Accessories&hash=item3cb822c62d#ht_4799wt_752
can I check if my 1500mah battery is good? thinking of going to sprint to have it checked out.
I searched and found a guide about plugging and unplugging the phone a few times but it did not help me.
That plugging/unplugging thing really works the best for and SBC kernel.
What setup are you running now (ROM/Kernel)?
There is a way that HTC released, it's in my signature.
Running synergy RC2 with latest radio package in the dev section.
try the radio setup I have in my sig.
Buy another battery. lol. But in the package with the external charging unit. so you can let your batteries run close to dead once in a while then just swap the battery. It'll keep those batteries in good shape. :-D Don't blame it on radios. But could be just that your signal/tower where you're at sucked for a few minutes. maybe they were working on a tower? who knows. Good signal=good battery
I bought this battery and can get 4 days off a single charge with normal usage, and 2 days with heavy usage: http://www.amazon.com/Platinum-Exte..._1_2?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1311442664&sr=1-2

I am going to try the uplugging charger trick again...the ac compressor on my car went bad and I'm trying to save a few bucks to get it fixed
I'm thinking of going the ebay route and getting a cheap 3500 mah battery.
damn I cant buy the 3500 >_< phone wont fit in my otterbox case, the max mah of a stock fit battery is 1800 right? Guess I'll have to settle for that
I wanted one of those, but sadly. like no one is smart enough to give us a real case to go around it. there aren't any supplies for it on cases. Plus it looses the point of the phone being at least a little light. makes it too thick.
Yeah, I tried to look for some but didn't find anything, my brother bought this phone for me on the local classifieds and the dude who sold it to him had 2 batteries for it with a wall charger...I don't use the second battery because its a pain in the ass to switch when you have an otterbox case. thats why I may get the 1800 battery, I've read around that its the same size as stock.

I don't want to start a war or anything but...hows battery life on the iphone 3gs? I know a ton of people in school that use the thing alot for surfing and texting and they keep going at it after school, dont see them carrying chargers or anything o,o
It's been nearly 27 months of daily and intensive use of my oneplus one and I can't be happier, not even consider buying a new smartphone with the performance of this little one.
I was in fact considering buying a new battery, wasn't noticing any noticeable decrease in battery life but it might just be because of the slowness of the wearing and buying a new one will immediately result in much better results.
I found an app called accubattery that tests wear by measuring charging currents vs charge percentage over time and would love to see how is you battery performing, also wanted to know the results of a new battery if some of you have indeed swapped it already.
Here are some screenshots

Considering a new battery would perform about 97/98% (just guessing) that's about 5% wear every 8 months. Seems like a really slow pace if you ask me.
Would love if some of you guys test it for a couple of charges cycles and share your results vs age of your device.

You shouldn't trust these battery apps. Measure it that way - if the battery lasts long enough for you - you don't need to replace it. Otherwise get a replacement and hope that it's better than your current one.
Right now I get about 3.5-4 hours of SOT with Stylo King's profile and I charge it every night. Perhaps I'll replace the battery within a year but who knows - I might just get an external battery instead.

Sure enough, I'm still OK with the battery life. But it's interesting to know how fast batteries are wearing and how much improvement we get with a new one. This app measures how much capacity it can hold, battery life is a different story.
20% wear might not seem a lot but imagine you have an extra 20% each time your battery dies. Might consider a new one in the near future.
i am really interested to this topic too. for now, you can refer to the answer to this thread of mine.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/how-battery-1-2-years-t3414249
the biggest problem at the moment is that most of battery sold online as original are simply fake and works very bad, so finding a replacement it' s hard. Oneplus support asks for aroun 80€ to replace the battery
Post your battery and the period you have the phone,
to get there you need dial*#*#service#*#* on the numbers and scroll to "battery health test" (work on any stock ROM xperia)
mine is 2429 (out of 2700Mah) got my Z5C for 1.5 years

yeah I was surprised too. Actually I was expecting something worse due to the age of the phone, the fact that I never used the "battery optimization option" and my Z5C is often charged with almost full battery (using it in the car as alerter for speed cameras/traffic jams <- USB connected). Maybe the result is influenced by the fact that I lost the original power supply early, since then I am using the one from my old S4 mini with less output (I think 1.0A).
Last factory rest was when Android 7.0 was rolled out in Germany (by Sony - without provider branding). I checked it for the first time, so I can't say which value was shown when my phone was new , but I am looking forward to see results from other users.
2672000 here.
In use since Jan 2016 - 1 year 7 Months .
I'm one of those who become nervous when getting near 50% so it frequently hangs on the wire - several times a day, actually.
I was worrying about ruining my battery by this treatment, due to reading a lot about having to 'train' your battery by sucking it down to 15-20% at times. So this is all crap information, obviuosly.
Thank you for posting this code, btw.
Useful information!
