I suggest you remove it from the Parrot and re-pair it.

+1 with what Flavio said. Is your phone actually connecting to the Parrot system when you start the car? Try unpairing and re-pairing them. When you have bluetooth on and you start the car up, they should auto connect to each other and as soon as you make a call or receive one, audio should come from the speakers and not the phone.
Also, have a look on Parrot's website and make sure that the Parrot system is upto date with the latest firmware. I've got the MKi9200 and my Dell Streak (Direct from Dell running Android 1.6) was having connection problems before, it kept on disconnecting and reconnecting itself every couple of minutes. But after updating the firmware, it fixed everything and now works fine.
Right got my phone to work out.. I worked out as long as its got blietooth on before I start my engine it connects fine. On annoyance is when I dial from phone it go through phone first I have to press bluetooth on caller disolay for it to go through speakers. I cant find a setting to change this any ideas

Nice work mancuk29, tho I don't know why it's defaulting to your phone and not the bluetooth, like I mentioned in my previous post, my system defaults to the bluetooth device once its connected.
The only thing I can suggest is to check that the pairing options are set up correctly by entering the phone's Settings -> Wireless controls -> Bluetooth settings -> then select and hold the Parrot device -> Options... -> then make sure that the "Phone" option is ticked. If it is already ticked then no idea mate...sorry!

What ROM are you using on your Streak?

I'm aware of the various BT issues with the XDA II, and therefore installed BT Tools thinking it may allow me to use my handfree kit. Unfortunately I'm experiencing problems and not sure if this is me doing something wrong or there is a problem with the software. Basically the XDA II does not route either incoming or outgoing calls via the handfrees unit. I have do the following:-
1. Installed the latest BT Tools.
2. Created a bond with the Nokia Handfree kit, when prompted for the BT profile (the BT Tools icon screen) I select headset only.
3. Enable BT on the XDA II
When I make or receive a call is there any button or menu I should be selecting to enable the handsfree unit?
From the Today screen, make sure bluetooth headset mode is enabled.
And if Bluetooth Headset Mode does not appear on the today screen:
Start -> Settings -> Today -> Items and make sure Profile is checked. That will put the headset mode switch on the Today screen.
Thanks for the suggestions, I must admit I had missed the headset profile on the Today screen.
Even with the device paired, BT enabled & the Headset enable neither incoming or outgoing calls are routed through the handsfree unit.
Any other suugestions welcomed...
With the new bluetooth tools you need to transfer the call to the headset...
I find the best way when dialing is to have the phone ready to dial, then i hit the answer button on the headset causing the phone to dial & transfer sound to the headset @ the same time.
When answering the call the headset should ring and you press the answer button on the headset to recieve the call.

When you say press the headset button are you referring to the headset icon on the XDA or the Nokia handsfree button?
If its the Nokia button , I'll try this tomorrow, if not, then the icon does not ring and when receiving a call it is covered by the incoming call window.
Many thanks...
the nokia headset button

Yep thats what I thought, I think I can confidently say there is a compatability issue with using the current version of BT Tools with the new Nokia CK-7W handsfree kit.
I've read the user manual for the handfree kit and that refers to switching/transferring the call between the BT devices using the button. The unit clicks as if there's something happening, but no call is heard, the unit works perfectly with a BT phone connected both Nokia & Motorola.
I would try uninstalling pocket BT tools - for using a headset it is of no additional value anyway. I do not have it installed and have never had any problems making or receiving calls with my SE HBH-30 headset.
Try using the earlier version of bluetooth tools, make sure you uninstall the version you have and also unbond/remove bluetooth pairings, rebond after successful install.
Pocket Bluetooth Tools is perfect! This is what I'm looking for, except I can't figure out how to listen to music thru my bluetooth headset.
Thanks for the great tool though, now I can make calls with my headset.

The BIG advantage is battery life and not having to re-enable the headset profile each time you switch on the phone! With both PBT and/or Profile not displayed, I also get more Today real estate to play with.
With BT on all the time, I'm lucky to get four hours usage out of my Xda II, with PBT turning it off after five minutes the time can go up to almost seven. Sure, there is a short lag between call coming in and the headset (HBH-65) ringing but I can live with that and it even works well with Pocket Zen Phone. I also like the last number redial facility it adds to my headset. PBT rocks!
I found one problem with this program. My device won't automatically turn off after installing this tool. The backlight turns off, but not the device after certain minutes set. Who do I report the problem too.
i have got this problem to carnt get the xda i to connect to my car blue tooth hands free kit it finds the kit but nothing gome on guy get ya thinking heads on n help  to revolve this problem

Hi everyone,
well, I got the same problem :x with my XDA2, also called Qtek 2020, and Nokia carkit 112. It just does'nt work, even with BT tools. But I wonder how you get the icon screen while connecting to your Nokia carkit...cause mine is going straight back to the "Bluetooth connected devices" screen. I only got the icon screen, enabling the profile selection, while connecting to my Nokia 6310i phone.
Let's hope that HTC is gonna come up with Handsfree profile soon...
Regards to all, special ones to our OZ friends!! Mates, I really enjoyed living in Sydney, even if Italy is quite convenient as well.

I had the same problem as you this morning. I managed to discover the reason. The headset was not set to connect to the media player on the phone. Just go to BT options and hold click on the headset button. Simply check the option to be connected to media.

It have just Call , Pause, next, back and On/off button ... what should i do ? By the way Thanks A Lot bro for quick reply ..
If you go to the Bluetooth options of the phone, where you can see your paired headset, touch long on the headset and select options. There it might be possible to enable something like a media profile besides the phone profile.
OKay got it bro u means when i connect headset though my mobile then there in BT Option i can see my paired device something like your mobile is connected to Bluethooth..
Ex. Nokia Bluetooth stereo headset BH-214 suppose it shows there in BT Option then i press on Nokia Bluetooth stereo headset BH-214 and it will start pairing and later it will be paired to that device so i long press on Nokia Bluetooth stereo headset BH-214 ? and i can see option or something like that is it ? then i 'll try that Thanks but bro i don't think so because if i do that then pair will be disconnected i think but i will try that Thanks A Lot...
ok, so elmicha better explained what it was i wanted to say. I forgot to mention all of what I was saying was to be done in the options menu on the phone. When going into the Bluetooth options in the phone's settings, you should see the Scan for device option. If you have not already paired the headset with the phone, scan for it and pair. After getting it paired, long touch the headset line in the list below the "Scan for device" button. A menu should appear. Choose Options and make sure the Phone and Media profiles are both selected. The Media profile was not selected in my case and the music would not play through the headset.

i've had what appears to be the same problem since i bought the hero last september - streaming to car stereo as opposed to headset. previous 4 phones worked with the stereo as they should
with the stock rom it would only connect to stereo using a phone profile (no media option available). it's definitely a compatibility issue with the particular stereo as the hero streams to a bluetooth home theatre thingy that i have without fault.
solution: villainRom 6.2 - i tried a legend in the car and it worked fine on the stock rom. so i assumed if i rooted and flashed a 2.1 rom, it would do the job.. . .wrong, after a couple of painstaking months of messing about with multiple 2.1 roms that didn't work properly, 2 days ago i said i'd give villain another try as they have a new version available. now a2dp on my hero works properly - just a shame the phone is now a bit slow
give it a try
Thanks Bro.. i 'll try it

How did u sort I am going to get a bt headset so any tips would be cool
Hello.
I have just bought a Dell Streak in Dubai. It was android 2.1 and I was able to immediately update it to 2.2. It works beautifully, is fast and does everything I throw at it and more.
Problem:
Bluetooth audio simply does not work. I have tried pairing it with my car kit, a nokia headset, a jabra headset and a generic bluetooth headset. It pairs fine with the headsets and phone calls seem to go to the headset but there is no audio in the headset. The person on the other side also cannot hear anything. And after i press the bluetooth button during the call to bring the call back to the phone, the headset(or car kit) seems "locked" and only gets free when I switch off bluetooth on the streak.
Bluetooth file transfer works fine and I have tested it with a samsung galaxy s. But it doesnt work for phone calls. It is a major problem as it is difficult to use the device without the bluetooth on a regular basis and especially in the car.
I would appreciate any help in this matter as I love the device but as I spend considerable amount of my time driving, it is getting very annoying.
I had originally posted this on the Dell support forum and I was recommended to post it in the XDA forum.
Thanks
Babar Malik
I use my dell streak with my motorola s10 bt headset and my car bt handsfree system and have no issues at all.
Maybe try un-pairing all devices and repairing them and testing then one at a time and see is that helps. Askari when a device is connected go to settings, wireless, bluetooth and see if you can tap and hold on the connected bt item and see if you can adjust its settings.

Thanks for the assist but i tried unpairing and pairing but it did not work. Not too many options in the menus to change so I am pretty much stuck here.
As I have updated to android 2.2 from 2.1 which came with the phone, would a factory reset send the system back to 2.1 and then i can check whether bluetooth works or not? I mean, I cant think of anything else to do.
Is it possible that something i have downloaded or installed on the sd card is causing audio conflict with the bluetooth audio?
Thanks
When my phone is paired up with my VW car bluetooth and I use TomTom there is no voice navergation sounds from the phone. But when I turn bluetooth off it works fine is there a way around this.
