I can tell you that roms arent good or bad... in every device we have diferent issues believe me... and everyone can said this is good to me but somebody said its the worst one! why?... cause its their points of view... be sure you have everything to upgrade before do it ok?

Search on the brushed metal by noonski ROM in post number 82 i have attached A RUU just copy your nk.nbf to the file unzipped and run the RUU xp if it doesnt works run the normal RUU. in this link:

Its an old rom but if it is of your likely... first read the way to upgrade in G4 section of wizard forum maybe you miss a step...
Good luck the new ERA of Roms are the included Manila 2D in it... so give it a try is most prettier.

i've tried to install a new rom on my wizard and i got this error: "This update utility cannot be used for your PDA Phone.Please get newer update Update Utility."my phone enters bootload before giving this error.

it seems my rom upgrade haven't solved one of my major problems.The GPRS connection is not working.I'm connecting to the network (Vodafone) but if i want to browse the internet internet explorer says :"The page cannot be found.Check the name and try again".

Most of roms has this kind of prob, cause the ccokers said that is better to conect via WIFI or USB stills a problem... but you can try and try again
One more thing maybe your carrier Configuration have missing something... acharacter... a number a dot..... i dont know men!

I purchased an unlocked version of GSM Touch Diamond from newegg.com while I was in US. I realised later that I could not find any FM radio in it. How do I know if its just hidden (though that would be absurd) or not present at all ? How can I get it, if it can be done (and I would assume a rom update) ?
Secondly, I installed the latest version of GSen, got it to be run at startup and when I rebooted my phone, it said that GSen would not start bcos of some damn error. I had to uninstall. Any ideas how I can get around this ?
My rom version is 1.93

In order to 'unlock'the FM radio you need to replace your ROM with a cooked ROM that has it built in. There is no way to enable it without doing so. Also GSen is an old program and I never had much luck with it. I would recommend Gyrator2 as it is a much more stable and gives more options for customization. Hope it helps!! Both of these answers could be found in the xda forums with just a little bit of searching...
I was able to get the FM Radio without replacing my original ROM by downloading the radio cab file from this post -

Can anyone help me they said that it could be a software problem with the unlock
is there anyway to check if the phone lost the unlocking soft or something

try a hard reset if a soft reset does not fix it
sounds to me like a radio flashing went wrong
And what i can do in that case!

Did you try to install anything ?? or did you try to do any ROM upgrade (if you are familiar)
How did all these started ?? give us some details & we might be able to help you
Also can you turn phone on at all now? Can you enter bootloader screen? What does your SPL say?

You could always put your phone into bootloader and flash a radio

You flash a radio the same way you would flash a rom. First of all you need USPL or HSPL on your device. I recommend you read these threads for guidance:

I would start with radio 1.14.25.24 as this is latest blackstone radio

You have a vast choice of roms to use, either stock roms direct from HTC site or from the wiki here or cooked roms from this forum
Would be impossible for me to recommend one as everyone is different and your tastes may well be different from mine. Also you have different windows versions, i.e. wm6.1 & wm6.5. All I can say is try a few and make your own conclusions. At present I am currently using Throys WM6.5 R9 rom

ok if I was your support guy for your problem I'd need more info like
1. What unlocking software and from where did you get it?
2. what network are you on?
3. where in the world are you? (geography can be a problem)
4. what rom did you flash to?
5. (this is where I check in 6.5) in settings, connections, connection setup what does it say?
6. in settings, phone information what model does it say you have ?
with luck giving us this info might give us an idea what has happened

The original one from HTC the last one(1.57.831.1) i tryed aother ones 2. but the problem started before i tryed to flash any rom for first time.

You may find that the phone is stolen and phone networks have blocked the IMEI Number this maybe why you donot have any reception
Try asking your Network phone company if this phone is blocked
I Already call and no its not blocked by imei

ok, when you changed rom did you use USPL or HSPL? What does your SPL say?

I used to use cooked rom, tried 6.1, 6.5 and 6.5.x.
Failed to search for phone signal today, confirmed not SIM card problem.
Will cooked rom damage hardware? Thanks!
I don't think so , Hard-reset your phone with your Sim-card inside it and it will work again
If the problem still persist, try to install radio from this link :

If that does not solve the problem, I think the only way is to install a shipped ROM that suits with your phone's specification (ELF or ELFIN, Model ID and etc).
But don't forget to return your SPL and IPL to origina ones when you will load a shipped ROM. You can find them on XDA Wiki.
Hope your Elf (Elfin?) will be Ok!

if you didn't run the dsixda script before hand that grabs all your information, and have sinced changed your IPL/SPL then I'm not sure.
However, If you know your phone model number (T-MOB0005 etc.) You may be able to guesstimate to what they were based on that - Personally, I think that could be a bit risky, but it was worth the suggestion.
Do you remember if you have changed the IPL and SPL? You could always run the dsixda script now to see what you have. It should be in the ROM section

If you haven't changed them, then you could well still be able to use your shipped rom.
but if you don't know what they were, and have changed them, then yes, custom roms is the only way for you, from what I understand.

I just got my Hd2 and i am soooooo clueless on this phone.... I dropped iPhone for this!! and all this of rom and cab has soooo lost me....

Chill out dude ...
A cab is just like an App from the app store , but you don't have to go through the app store to get it ... ROMs are the operating system for the phone, something you can change on this phone , that you could not on the Iphone ...
Maybe you should have done some research first ...
Give you a quick lesson ...
You download a cab to your computer, copy it to your phone, just like copying files to a thumb drive , then you goto your phone open file explorer, find the cab you just copied over and click on it .... It is no different that installing software on your pc ...
You really need to think of the phone as a mini PC and less as a phone, because really this phone is more laptop than phone .... ...
There are newer TMO Roms out that fix the camera issue, or there is a fix on the HTC site
I hope this helps you a little ....
I encourage you to Read Read Read, this phone is one of the most powerful , hackable , phones out there, so you can pretty much turn it into whatever you want within reason ...

Well, is it a TMOUS version ?
Also that info really does not matter, what matters is what you see on the boot loader , the numbers and letters at the bottom when you reset your phone ...
but pretty much all phones are flashable now with HSPL3 ...
HSPL3 is what lets you flash a non factory ROM to your phone, it gets rid of the ID check, so you need it before anything else ...
Do some reading and make sure you understand it, before you think about flashing your phone. You could end up with an expensive paperweight ...
