launcher2 kind of working on rooted 2.1

With the rooted 2.1 and needed lib files this does launch. I have only my phone for a few days su I can't play anymore. It does work. App drawer is crazy though
Could you post the files you used? I tried earlier and couldn't get it running.
It's honestly not really usable now. If you Google librs.so and librs_jni.so. sorry driving too hard to post links
Just posted in the hero CDMA section. Works on my hero. Will try on my friends ERIS 2.1 rooted now

I've got it working pretty good with a launcher I found somewhere working on making live wallpapers work. But its something about OpenGL es lite and... Well I gotta read more to get it. When I do ill let everyone know. If you get launcher2 working be sure to get advanced task manager free and go kill the sense and home processes to make things run smooth
Could you post some screenshots
sure thing
here i can't get the posted in here for some reason..
oh and you can't really tell by the pictures but live wallpapers is working...most of the ones that come with it won't load properly due to openGL es lite not being supported....trying to figure out what that's all about...but i got substrate from the market and it works fine

Hi Guys.
Just got this working on my desire after a struggle with out of date files not to mention corrupted files but it all seems to be working fine now
Brill
Only problem is I cant exit.
If I just exit via the home button it carries on running in the notification bar
Have to go into a task manager or such like to kill it???

Can't work
Hi all, I am using Gingerbread 2.3.3 now and the gameboid refuse to work. When I tried to upload a ROM, then suddenly it stopped functioning. It worked perfectly fine when I use Froyo 2.2.1. Can someone help me? or do I need to downgrade it to Froyo just for Gameboid.
Your a lifesaver. I searched earlier this year for this and struggled to find it. Pokemon FTW

Dell launcher works on sgs

Found this looking around the forums runs smooth on the bionix 2.2 build...install then reboot for smooth runnings...enjoy.
Might need some minor tweaks but looks clean.

Nice, I'll try this. Downloading now. Thanks for the heads up.
Yea I'm running it now...thinking of some tweaks needed for memory and style on the widgets but other than that running like silk.

Did you have to rename the file to install?
EDIT: nm, didn't read.
Phone icon on launcher does NOT work
I was just gonna say that. Dialer shortcut not working.
I can't log on to FB from the widget. But so far I like it. Looking good.
looks good... Thanks.
wow looks nice i may try this in a few days still thinking about going obsidian so this may be my launcher of choice for the new build
Yea dialer is broken but ill see what I can come up with...at work now ill see what I can fix after I get home and get the kids in bed...haven't had time to look at it too much yet
Sent from this mobile thinggy...
I tried it yesterday and it was a pretty cool concept. You are right about needing some tweaking though. It would be awesome if this could take the place of Touchwiz in a 2.2 ROM. I might have to get out the good old Rom Chef handbook...
The launcher needs to look different imo, everything else looks good. I like how swiping up brings up the tray that's pretty slick. I'd be happy with the stock TW launcher look to be honest.
has anybody found a work around for the Phone button?
I when into Super Task Manager and I see the Phone.apk, because on the original Thread said to rename it to that in case it didn't work but it is already Phone.apk.
Phone Button is like Froyo launcher2.
You will need to smali it & edit to according.

yes sir.
Just got home and kids refuse to sleep atm...yea a simple rename is all it is calling for a simple rename of the phone.apk should fix the issue I just haven't torn apart the launcher apk yet so I'm unsure of the name if the kids crash out soon I can start the digging...lol...gotta love kids...they are like living with full time drunks....you never know what they are going to do next or where they hid you power supply for the laptop at...
Sent from this mobile thinggy...
Just digging into it myself - 614,165,225 files in there - any hints where it is in there?
Edit - Are there apps or system files that rely on "Phone.apk"? Will it be easier to change the name that dell looks for rather than changing the name of the apk?
Edit 2 - No luck here...
Been digging threw lines of code in the launcher looking for all the files and apks it calls for might be a day or so before I have this fixed...back to 18 hour days at work do this will have to be spare time project...

Running this now. Phone icon works. All widgets besides music, which gets immediate force close when trying and facebook not login are working. Pretty smooth. Im getting some force close on miuui music player, could be unrelated. Fairly useable on my superfast vibrant, froyo of course : )
p.s. Ill try to dial this in some more.

UK newbie with Desire Rom

Hi Guys, sorry for posting up - but I tried and tried searching, and I cant post in the dev forum..
First up - Had my UK HD2 for about a year, got fed up with hardly any updates and naff apps, so.. not listerning to that little voice in your head that says.. DONT DO IT!.. I researched and finally flashed the rom.
Everything went well.. (good job got a year left on contract!) - desire rom is up and running. Taken me a few days to work out what apps where causing me probs, but mostly its running very well. Finds my orange network.. works on wifi - its all good.
One prob I do have.. everytime I use a GPS program I get a 'freeze', google maps is quite important to me as I do a fair bit of travelling..
(its not a program thing - its the GPS) - tried many different GPS proggies.
So.. does anyone know if:
1) There's a patch or something to fix it?
2) If there's an update to the rom as its a few months old
([30.DEC.10][DFT]LEO "Stock Desire" NAND Android ROM)
3) How do I disable the ad's
.. other than that, its lovely!
Got angry birds to work by copying to the phone ram, stops the freezing.
One more question.. I downloaded an explorer app to access my home network NAS, works well - but some of the movies are in DIVX or WMV format and wont stream or play - any free suggestions?
Lovin it, big thankyou to everyone that contributed to me having the phone I always wanted.. Beer donation WILL be forthcoming, once I've got these probs solved.
Try the fix posted in the thread below, "instantaneous GPS fix)
Try adfree from market to stop ads.
I hear RockPlayer is good for video files.
If above don't work, install a more recent android build
Hope this helps

I'm with with u on the freezing...especially now its summer here in UK.
Love my hd2....but....IT'S GETTING ON MY FU**ING NERVES!!!!!!!!
PIECE OF CR*P....FREEZE FREEZE....GRRRRRRRR.

[Q] Friend stream?

can i have back friend stream in [17.Jul] BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA DHD_V19
how can install back?
thanks in advance
i think this is a desire hd rom which in that case you can go to personalize, widget, the top one should say "Browse all HTC widgets" scroll to 24/25 and select friend stream. im not on this rom but if its v19 then thats a desire hd rom so it should work.

friend stream widget appears but i cant config account
i cant sign in becouse there is no option in accounts and sync
i just have facebook,google,news,weather.
i missing friend stream for htc account.
i think you can sign into your htc account by going under setup or htc hub. if you want i can flash the rom real quick to see what your refering to? its rather hard to say what to do when im not seeing it infront of me.
maybe look in that thread to see if other people are having the same issue and if you dont find any info on it you could always ask your question within that thread.
are you refering to this ROM?
can you do that for me you're so kind
i have read threads
nobody wrote something like this
ok it will take me a few mins or so to do a backup & then flash. gives me an excuse to try a new ROM out anyway. i'll write back after i go through the ROM which should be about 10-15 mins or so.

ok just booted up. im going to set the phone up to see if i have the problems you were talking about. i'll report back..
ok..so i can't find it either. on my old ROM..RAFDROID HD when you set up your phone up it allowed you to set up your htc account and it didnt on this ROM. also i selected widgets then all browse all HTC widgets and there are a lot less widgets to choose from. in the ROM details for BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA_Desire HD A2SD V19 it shows friend stream as an app in the ROM so i would post the question because they might haved removed it for some reason. i couldnt find any info about it either so im not sure what advice i can give.
i have the friend stream apk but im not sure it would work anyway and without being able to sign in its really pointless in trying that way. a friend stream widget did no show up for me anyway i tried about it.
im going to keep playing around with the rom to see if i can get it to work though. i'll pm you if i can find out the answer.

no problem. it got me to try a new ROM out anyway. maybe after some sleep i'll try to install the friendstream.apk to see if it works that way.
Did not read the whole thread...but it might be easy.
You may need to goto settings, accounts and sync, and then set up Facebook and Twitter for HTC...to sync.
thats what i thought at 1st but when you go into accounts & sync there was nothing there that you could set up, just blank. yea it was really odd though. i even went into personalize, widgets & then browse all htc widgets and there were a lot less on that ROM then on RAFDROID HD. i think this ROM had 35 or so were as RAFDROID HD has 70. i checked the thread late last night and it seems other people are having problems with it to on different builds so i dunno.
I guess I have to return to the previous version becouse i like facebook for htc sense widget
if you go to this thread and check out post 2351 someone uploaded htc-facebook. you woulod have to put it in system/apps & i cant say for sure if it would work or not.
new updated
boyppc has updated version 19 he added a some dhd stock widget and apps
i will try now
