have a tmo us hd2
had a past version of android with sense it worked fine. tried a different and got the pause at jumping to kernel so tried a clean version, it worked. ive booted it plenty of times, then tonight it stopped working
so im trying froyostone with sense and now it wont boot either
im on omega v7 newest and radio 2.1.5.28_2
I was on the same problem, i think you have the android files directly on your SD Card? So that is the problem, put them in a new folder android.
That helps me, the first boot was by me also possible, but after that all reboots end in "jumping to kernel"
nope. theyre in the android folder.
and i just tried switching to the 2.12 radio
the strangest part is that is was working the past few days and earlier today...
id understand a certain build not working but why would it randomly stop working.
Have you made, since this problem more reboots. I have on my HD2 sometimes that i must boot 2-3 times to come up
yup, tried multiple reboots and both radios
have you solved a problem? I've similar problem. Each time I turn on the phone - I'm getting this error. Sometimes it helps to remove "cache' folder and some others and restart twice or may be 3 times. But no working 100% solution.
My Results
ppp vr.
Market ok
WIFI ok
BT ok
whitout freezes
little bit more sensitive touch screen
Very good job, DEV team you are masters
When I'm getting stuck at jump to kernel, I normally remove and reinsert the sd card when I booted into WM and most of the time that fixes it.
I (and other members) have found that "Jumping to kernel..." freeze occurs when one is using Windows for a period of time. The solution is usually to re-boot and once Windows loads *immediately* boot into Android. This has not failed me yet! Before I was like you, wondering why sometimes I get the freeze and other times I don't...but a fresh boot into Android solved my issue.
Hope this helps.
have you changed the kernal lately or switched any file , or renamed anything
have you tried changing the startup.txt file? look around for that solution..it has been posted here many times.
I would give you a link but I am posting from my cell so it would be a little difficult.

yeah i got the same problem
how to switch the boot to android only
everytime it freezes and after booting it winmo is booted and everytime i have to open haret
Same problem here, freezes every time. What is a decent OS that is stable, and doesn't eat the battery? And has a camera that actually works?
Kernel
Hey Guys,
Its most likely a Kernel problem so you need to update the kernel
to do this you simply have to overwrite the files "modulesxxxxxx.tar.gz" and “zImagexxxxxx” with the new ones
you can try these Kernels.

Hi! I tried some Android Nand Roms on my HD2 and always got the same problem. Always I turn on my mobile data connection the phone freezes completely and I've got to pull out the battery. On Wifi everything works fine but I really have no idea what's the problem.
Ive installed HSPL 2.08 SPL 2.08 and the newest Radio version.
Can someone help me please? I allready searched the inet for infos but couldn't find anything.
What ROM are you trying? One thing is to make sure you are using the correct partition size, this is known to cause a lot of problems. For instance, if you're trying a Sense rom, you're going to need a larger partition for the build.
MIUI
I'm using the MIUI FutureShocks Rom Version 1.4.29 German
Android Version 2.3.3
Kernel 2.6.32.15_r9-gd0fb339tytung
I have no Sense and the partition size is 1024 MB
I'm assuming you're flashing with CWM?
CWM
Yes with CWM!
When you installed CWM which partition did you install... for instance, a common one is 150mb.... You may have flashed a CWM with too small of a partition for the MIUI build...
I gonna check this right now thanks for your help!
So... I tried to flash with a different partition size but it doesn't help anything.Still freezes after some seconds surfing with mobile data internet. On Wifi works great.

Did you found a solution? I'm having exactly the same problem, everytime I switch on the data the phone just hangs and freezes..
Thanks in advance
Me = this problem too, and as i been repeating for months:
1: Don't listen to muppets that say "do a task 29" - coz they think task 29 cures cancer!!!!!
2: Do a search just on XDA HD2 section and you will find literally HUNDREDS of people with this problem.
3: Do a google search for Android data freeze and you will literally find tens of thousands of people with this problem.
4: It will NEVER EVER be solved on the HD2....hence why, when i get some cash, i'm going to throw my phone against the wall and film a youtube video of me doing it....then buy something decent.
PS: task29 does not CURE THE WORLD OF EVERYTHING!!!!
Matt
Well, at least It's not only me, I'm complaining for awhile, never happened to me using direct SD builds, it usually happens when I port a nand build to SD, for now only happening with nand builds, what radio do you have?
Thanks for reply mate..

Sorry for digging the old post, but I think my experience may help
I've met the same problem recently, but let's start from the beginning, and the situation below is sorted by time:
Camcorder white screen
taking pictures freeze
when charging, navigation app freeze easily
play jewel star more than 30 mins freeze
Turn on data connection, can not last than 1 mins, freeze
After freeze, pull out batt and back on, Magldr freeze on "Go GO GO" sometimes
When entering System, freeze
The problem is getting worse, and I almost give up my HD2. I've done every softeware solution , but can not get any good result. So, I put my HD2 to the ShenZhen(China) mobile repair technician, and got the Qualcomm 8250 CPU replaced. Then, re-install my energy rom, and all problems are gone, like a whole new phone, without any freeze.
My phone is TMOUS, and the production date is 2010/JUN. I've dropped my phone on the ground for once or twice, which the technician think the main reason for CPU broken. No matter what, my HD2 is rebirth now.
Hi guys ,
Just got a N1 from my friend and previously upgraded to CM7 . And then the nightmare begin .
The system is trying to run CM7 and stock 2.3.6 , both will random freeze , even on the lock screen itself . Radio is 5.12 .
And even more worse is that if the system freeze it will turn into infinite boot screen looping , the only way to stop is to take out the battery .
But once the battery is taken out , the system will not start up anymore , and the charging led will not light up even plug into the AC adaptor . The only way to start up is keep trying reinsert the battery and it might work sometimes . And once it boots it resume normal but will freeze again within an hour , with no applcation installed .
The system is used to run stable in 2.1 , so I don't think it is a hardware defect . Anyone have similiar case and any clue to resolve it ?
Thanks all !
Regards,
Kurz

If you are running 2.3.6, it means you are not running the latest stable release (which is based on 2.3.7). I would either try and install 7.1.0 or a later nightly and see if the problem is resolved.
Thanks for your advice , will try it tomorrow .

Good day, This is my first time ever posting a thread on this site and new to custom ROMs on Android devices. I currently have Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (T-Mobile) and a friend suggest I flash it with some custom ROMs. I did, indeed, tried all the compatible ROMs for this phone and they all boot up find (despite the long hang time after finishing the boot setup), but I ran into some problems after doing everything, step-by-step, correctly. I've done light research on how to fix these issues but was afraid if my phone may brick again and do another Emergency Recovery using Samsung Smart Switch. To get to the point, the following issues that are occurring are these below,
- WiFi continuously says "Wifi turning on" and never stops
- Settings will sometimes crash when entering "Security" and then backing out of it
- Camera quality remains blur and can't find any settings to get the camera to focus properly
- LTE/Mobile Data does not apply on boot (when restarting or turning it on) and it requires to fully reboot again
- Uninstalling a application forces the phone to do a soft reboot
- Sometimes multiple background apps will pop-up a error message stating, "Unfortunately, (App) has stopped"
I currently have the Resurrection Remix v5.7.1 (which is the latest I've found) build on the phone, but at the moment using Stock Marshmallow as I'm witting this. If there is anyone on the forums that can help me resolve these issue so i can have a stable flashed ROM, I would greatly appreciated the help. Thanks for your time and have a bless day.

Did you have all of these issues on every ROM that you flashed or just a specific ROM?
