I can't seem to find a decent Word Clock widget. Can any of you guys recommend one? You know, the clock that uses words instead of numbers??
I don't get why people like those. Worst thing ever invented. Checkout the homepage threads, they are all listed there.
Fuzzy Clock, I just tried looking for those yesterday, that's the best one IMO, has options and all that. The other ones are "Word Clock" and "Word Clock Widget."
I for one think it's interesting and clean looking.
tajm is the one most people are using
Typographic Word Clock Widget
Try the latest Typographic Word Clock Widget It uses zero system resources and writes the current time on screen. Its free and features looks promising. Try it out and let others know.
Here is the market link. Check out the screen shots as well. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.apptox.widget&feature=search_result
Clockr is by far my favorite plus its free.

There's a lot of text clocks. My favorite is Minimalistic Text. It's highly customizable and can display clock, date, weather, battery, system temp, or other stuff in text and/or numbers.
Minimalistic is awesome check out out

They are finally here! After the great success of my previous icon set, TallMin, which was downloaded over 12,000 times from my servers, the second in the series aSmoothStar icons are now here to download! The aSmoothStar icon set complements the TallMin icon set now giving you the choice for a 1 line or two line icons. aSmoothStar is bigger and better, with 173 icons in 12 awesome colours for you.
As ever, if you enjoy these icons, please feel free to give a donation as thanks (it really helps me keeping this site up too), the donation link is on the right hand site of the site and really any small amount would be greatly appreciated!
As mentioned, there are 173 icons in the following 12 colours:
Boombastic Blue
Brilliant Black
Cyan-ogen Blue
Gentry Grey
Groovy Green
Orgasmic Orange
Playful Pink
Pretty Purple
Roxy Red
Ruby Red
Wonderful White
Yummy Yellow

All my icons/guides/anything are free, I think that one of the greatest things about android is the community effort, the fact that most people go out of their way, use their free time to enhance the experience of others. Where as I may use a custom rom from a dev here, some may use my icons. Beautiful.
Having said that, if you do enjoy them, a small (as small as you like) donation to help me keep my site up would be much appreciated
Nice I'll give em a go ! Thanks
Can these be used without using launcher pro out anything just with the standard sense ui?

yeah, you can use apps such as bettercut, folder organizer, etc
As the subject reads, I would love miui with stock icons. I know some of you may not agree, but people say that my phone looks a lot like an iphone at work when I show it off running miui. That's not a bad thing, I personally don't like it though. Anyway, if someone could come out with a "stock" theme (or whatever your want to call it) then that would be amazing.

You could just use LauncherPro or a similar dock. The icons will still have the colored box around them, but they will be much smaller. Obviously the four big icons at the bottom will be gone as well.
That's the thing though, I like miui's launcher, but I don't the icons. I don't like their blocky-ness, if that makes much sense.
Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk
I agree. The icons blockiness and the fact the app icons can't go into a "drawer" are the only reasons I went back to Virtuous.
+1000000000
No app drawer
No android stock Icons
Despite the fact that this MIUI Rom is awesome, those 2 things made me going back to my old android stock ROM.
And what is the interest to put an alternative launcher since if you put a launcher (LauncherPro, Zeam,..) You lose the MIUI advantages...
They should considerate that app drawer (and putting app in that drawer) is (in a ergonomic point of view) is the best thing ... Since Day 1 there's a "menu" in every phone, and seeing all my apps on the homescreen is a little bit ... disappointing me !

There's a theme in the online theme section called Android2.3 that will give you the stock icons

there is also a new calendar via the test market, which shows version 3.1, so unless google has changed their version numbers on their market, ie, Froyo's calendar is 2.2.1 and GB's is 2.3.3 then most of these apps are 3.1/Ice Cream apk's and are going to be backwards compatible with previous versions of android.
As a side note, Aerosmith and Cage the Elephant then Backstreet Boys? seriously...
Hahaha. I have a little bit of everything!
it overwrites the touchwiz right?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Not sure. Probably. I'm not using a touchwiz rom.
works on CM7 and MIUI if anyone's wondering.
it didnt over write anything if you just install it.
tried it, TW is still better though this is beta.

I'm on rooted OTA 4.1.2, not willing to install any custom ROMs
Thanks ahead

Will look thru it, thanks
UPD
Couldn't find it in the Fancy Weather settings
Try using true weather live wallpaper with it, I think it is the wallpaper that gives it the animation. There is paid and free on play store
From the darkest reaches of my mind...... Somebody turn on the light
Try Beautiful Widgets, withthe Beautiful Widgets Animation package.
You guys.. that is NOT what he is talking about.. he is talking about having a weather widget DISPLAY on the lockscreen. Like this
Use Widget Locker & your favorite weather widget.

This is what i was going to suggest but it eats resources (RAM) and doesnt work very well in my experience. But is a good alternative.
My understanding is that you will be able to do it when we get 4.2

Sort of.. it'll be on a separate page instead of the same which is kind of stupid TBH Google should have taken a page out of Cm' development page and had it on the same page at least for weather.

The font is not that great, they haven't done much on the status bar yet I take it and I can almost guarantee that the final version will be drastically different, though the colour... id just rely on venom to change it
Article doesn't exist anymore
Am I the only person who's happy with the color?

HTC can't do that cheap looking customization .. :highfive:
Moderator information,
I have closed this thread for now. This does appear to be fake. Looking at different screen shots and the build number etc. Closer to the time when more creditable information becomes available, we can look at opening the thread again.
Many thanks,
