In the beginning I apologize if the news was not true in a place

It looks like HTC has found a way to integrate nicely with Windows Phone 7's hubs. The manufacturer is releasing something akin to an HTC Sense plug-in for Windows phone 7 that will integrate with it weather and other useful information. Ever since Windows Phone 7 was announced, HTC had been intent on bringing the Sense experience to the mobile platform, though there were early concerns that third-party UI overlays would not be permitted. Since then, we've seen concepts, and it looks like the recent demo is legitimate as the Sense experience was demoed on an HTC phone running Windows Phone 7 OS.

It looks kinda cool, but I can see the flying through clouds thing being annoying pretty fast.

That does look pretty funky.

i really hope that wp 7 could be installed on our hd2s!

Bearing in mind that I will be keeping my HD2 regardless of the next phone I get on upgrade next April, my choices are between Windows Phone 7 and Android (Hmmm).
If the above post and YouTube video is true, then the new WPS7 experience will be a treat. The standard interface alone looks via alive and fresh with the constantly update tiles, and I am pretty sure that any iphone4 user would be looking over your shoulder in evy.
I am not discounting Microsoft and the likes of HTC just yet to deliver a genius piece of kit just yet.

HTC X7500 (Advantage) –Reviewed-
If you think this device is too big for a phone or if you are the guy who told me its one-handed use is terrible, please stand up. You are dismissed. You may go now. Thank you for your time.
Now for the rest of you, my intent in this review is to focus on the X7500’s usability.
There are really only two things about this device that make it different from other Windows Mobile devices. It has an 8gb hardrive, and most importantly it has a 5 inch screen. This is one of the most significant changes we have seen in a Windows Mobile device. There have been lots of innovative changes made to converged devices, but few in the area of mobile computing. With the X7500 I like to call it “non-desktop computing” The 5 inch screen enhances the viewing capabilities of Windows Mobile by leaps and bounds, as I will show later with screen shots and pictures.
Before I get too far into this review I want thank Paul and Igor of SuperiorGadgets for putting the device in my hands for a few days so I could review it.
The complete review is posted here:

Excellent review! I agree with nearly everything you stated. Thanks.
I love the color. The only reason I could consider giving back my Dopod U1000...
Radio
What's the phone signal like on the u1000? I had a universal qtek 9000 and the phone signal was always weak. I finally stop using it. The u1000 would have to have a good signal.

Mozilla firefox for windows mobile...That little bit closer!

Today mozilla released an alpha version of the so called "fennec" Browser, the mobile version of firefox,
Although they have been releasing udates and actual releases for the Nokia n810 internet tablet, Today they released a version for......Desktop versions of windows, Mac os x and linux.
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/fennec/1.0a1/releasenotes/
Wow!, instructions on usage are on the page. Obviosuly mozilla decided this was the best way to show you what they are working on without buying one of those silly useless (but very good) Internet tablets...
Some screens....

anyword on the windows mobile install?
there is a developer's blog with screen from it running on wm6. i wish he would make it available
Looks sweet. Can't wait to try it.
TELL me about it, i can't wait for it, trying it out on the pc. It seems awesome. Youtube doesn't work, but im not sure if an installation of flash works with it. (who needs it anyway huh? Youtube program from HTC works fine!) Plug-ins are also a feature with fennec, which will be awesome for people on here to get some good useful plugins made for us all!
Available for download here
Obviously, users with proper computers need the fennec-1.0a1.en-US.win32.zip version!

Project for developer?

Ok. So my company purchased two 7" Android tablets pre-production from China. They turned out to actually not be "real" android as it seems to be running a skinned down Android on top of Windows CE. We are looking to place Android tablets in retail locations for a pilot test. I'm looking for a developer that would be able to do one or both of the following:
1) Put REAL Android on here. It doesn't matter whether it is 1.5, 1.6, etc. but we don't want Windows running in the background for the obvious reasons.
2) Develop a VERY simple (but pretty) application for a registration process that would guide the user through entering the values for the questions we are asking. The trick to this app is we also need a way to completely lock the device down so that the user can only use that app. Maybe a hidden button in a corner that would prompt for a password so that we could get out of the app.
We would gladly send one of these tablets and let the dev keep them for their time and we would also be willing to discuss pay based on time invested. Please PM if interested. Pics of the units below:

Bump...........
Porting Android to this device is probably an insanely time consuming and difficult project. Just look at the Android porting projects for various Non-android HTC Devices such as the Touch Pro/Diamond. Takes for ages as drivers needs to be written, etc...
I think you would be better of thrashing those fake tablets and maybe do some proper research next time you buy something from China..

just wondering is it possible the Zune HD keyboard to android on htc hd2...because it is just awesome and eye candy with the great animation...
I'm sure it would be possible to recreate it (but I'm unsure what effort it would take), but I doubt one could port it: Linux and WinCE are two very different platforms.
I haven't used a Zune Keyboard but it looks pretty stylish from your pics, so I'd love to try it out.

A sad day indeed.
Windows Phone 7 Rom just took too long huh?
Yeah i was looking keeping an eye on developments, i'm in a fortunate position of owning a company and having 5 contracts with vodafone so pretty much every 6months i can get a new handset and just figured i'll get a WM7 handset...
But the HD2 for me was the first true proper phone that opened up the world of XDA and custom roms etc, really enjoyed learning about doing stuff to it, so i am a bit gutted to let it go (sounds daft i know)...
No! Id never sell it. Hows DHD btw?
DHD is pretty good, its smoother than the HD2 less juddery, its not better its different.
I really liked CHT on the HD2 and how everything was neatly organised on the homescreen, the CHT calendar function was better for me for business the android and HTC android calendar apps don't show today appointments if you use the widget (whats that about)...
The DHD is different its defo smoother i guess thats development chip wise etc, but i was a bit disappointed at first the HD2 is nicer to hold and with the option of delving in and out of android the HD2 was awesome, this DHD is growing on me though and its pretty stable too
