Invert browser colors? - Epic 4G General

I know that this was enabled on my evo via cyanogen, however I am curious as to the difficulty of enabling it on the epic as the screen is ridiculously bright in the dark. Any ideas?

Lower screen brightness

Is there any tweak or app to lower the screen brightness more than possible by default? for me its way too bright when using the phone in the dark. (And for my wife too, since she can't sleep with my phone lightening up the entire bedroom :-| )

Even on lowest level, it is way too bright in bedroom at night
Same here, my wife is kicking me out of bed soon and then i have to go back too my iphone :-(

same here ...
I have the feeling that just before the screen switch off the brightness is a little bit lower ...
Even this brigthness would be better and would probably save some battery
Same - I was thinking of posting this question myself.

It's not like it makes significant difference though.

Not only it hurts my eyes at night, the brightness also drain juice at an accelerated manner
Mod or help is greatly appreciated.

Can we switch to a night mode like on the iPad or others? Black background and white text?

I found it to be slightly more tolerable at the 2 setting. But I agree the lowest setting is still too bright

Does anyone else have this issue?

My phones screen likes to turn the brightness up to random levels despite the face that I have all settings turned of that adjust the brightness. I usually have the brightness down all the way too..
Anyone else have this issue..or maybe a fix?

Well I'm glad that I am not the only one.

If you are using the browser it has its own brightness control separate from the phone controls for some reason.

Cool color temperature

Compared to the Evo, my Epic hasa really cool color temperature. Screen is really blue. Is this normal for this phone or is mine off? This is driving me baddy.

Half way normal, download a rom with voodoo

Does me no good, Voodoo works only at 100% brightness...
Mine is like that too. Slight blueish tint compared to my wife's Evo.
I saw a thread about this about a month ago or so... from the sounds of it not all epics were like this. I never noticed it on mine but again, a lot of others have.

Before the Epic came out, I looked at the Tmobile Galaxy S phone and was mortified at the bluish tint of its screen. A portion of a web page which was supposed to appear white would appear very very pale baby blue. It was definitely noticeable. If you are experiencing that on your Epic. . . . sorry. My Epic does not have that problem.

Inverted colors

Today my girlfriend epic 4g's screen inverted all the colors. This is for the entire system, not just a specific app. Is this a setting issue she might have changed while it was in her pocket or something? Or is the screen most likely broken?
Try odining to stock and see what happens

(Q) Dark UI option?

So most ROMS now have an option to enable a Dark UI. On Xylon it's Dark Xylon, Pac is Pac is black, etc.
I'm just curious, does it only change menus to black? And is that it? It just seems a bit pointless having a whole option, just to change the menu background.
Sorry but that's just my opinion. Or is there more to this toggle that I'm missing? Thank you vet much!

Looking forward to someone answering this..
Well the name of the toggle is quite self explanatory...it makes the ui dark. This includes most menus, as well as other general parts of the interface (quicksettings, notification drawer, etc). I really dont see how its pointless...what more are you expecting it to do. If you dont like it, ignore it and continue on with your life.
It saves battery on devices with AMOLED screens
No it is not just the menus and backgrounds. It is also text colors and images.

Its a little more than just backgrounds. For example their is a reason slim ROMs tells you to download their gapps over say the official gapps. It colors anything that is coded to react to the dark ui or inverted mode. In my case the play store and the gmail widgets/app

So it does not offer any other benifits other than a dark look for non AMOLED devices? More or less like a dark theme.. ?

Black offers battery improvements for oled only...This is IPS+ so you're doing yourself a disfavor by using inverted gapps and those real black black themes some ROMs offer. You can Google lg IPS+ tech docs and white is the only color that uses less pwr on IPS than oled.

I find having white letters on a dark background shows better, allowing me to turn the backlight lower, so there is some benefit.

I see better with black text on a white bg, so I can also have a lower brightness. When using black bg on n4 I can't see as well so I raise brightness to like half outdoors.

I know mostly others are like that, seeing better black on white. Bright white is displeasing to my eyes, like bright lights. I actually suffer from a bit of night blindness. A lot of bright white makes it hard for me to read tiny black letters. Turning the brightness down only seems to blur the black letters for me. Plus, when my eyes tire, it only gets worse. I actually prefer white letters on dark gray vs black.
