I just thought to check whether it works on speakerphone- it does, so is my streak broken?
Could be, check out this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=763468
This person's earpiece stopped working and Dell said that it was a known issue, send it back to Dell or O2 and they should either fix it or replace it for you. Hope that helps!
ah yea, cheers dude, will see what dell say

just downloaded and installed, i like it... thanks man
I use menu to unlock. Gives you the option of the slide (hate) or just use the menu button as in 1.6. Works very well.

I think I found it here somewhere. It's on the market made by Kmobs for .99 cents and you must be rooted.

It's not a bug! unless of course you have just swatted one with the streak you either have a dirty screen or sweaty fingers
Hi guys, I had the same problems too. With mine, I couldn't swipe to unlock - nothing happened when I tried and had to remove the battery in order to reset the phone!!
To be honest, it felt like it was a software issue than my hands being sweaty or screen being dirty as I always keep the phone in the pouch provided. Apart from that, I never had a non-responsive screen.
I have had the same problem a few times.
It is not sweaty fingers or a dirty screen...
The screen can become 'laggy' and unresponsive, when I eventually get it to unlock I restart the device and it is fine.
It is a bug.
Missed 4 out of 6 calls due to this issue yesterday. Sort it out dell.

How did it get sorted with dell please explain? is it an software issue
Do any of you guys have svreen protectors on? Make sure there is no dirt between it and the screen. Also make sure the palm of your hand isn't touching the screen (don't have this problem with the streak but I do with the evo).
I've only had this issue twice, first time with the slide to answer, took like 5 tries to get it all the way over (and over course it happened while I was spring the phone off) and the other time it was whole I was attempting to put my lock pattern in.

Hi Everyone
I am new here and I do not understand how to get my dell streak back to factory conditions and my dell streak will not go passed the dell logo when rebooting. I have tried a lot of different things. Maybe I am not doing it right. Can someone give me step by step directions. I just want to put my dell streak back to 1.6 and unroot it. I appreciate you all for helping me out.
Follow the instructions in the post bellow i know it works fine so if you do not get back to 1.6 then you must be doing some thing wrong this method will work good luck

if so, were you able to get it to work?
You have a link?

Yeah I use it... just do a search for it... I think I got mine from the Evo forum but not sure, but it's in here somewhere
It does help with the sound clarity somewhat, but not a lot can be done with the crappy speaker they put in the Streak
I was at my sons field day and had my streak in my pocket all day and from bending over and squatting and everything else that was happening the outer frame bowed up and out away from the frame and the volume buttons slid down and now it wont snap back together, now it thinks there is headphones plugged in when there is not. They keep trying to tell me its "customer induced" damage when in the pics that they had me send them clearly shows that there is no other damage to it but that. Its been escalated to the highest level supposedly but I don't believe that. I want to talk to a person that speaks English fluently and understands that crazy things happen every day with products. Its not like they aren't going to fix and send it right back out as a refurbished device. So does anyone have a number or a way to contact someone other then the non English speaking tech people.

A Dell rep recently scammed me into buying speakers they said were on discount. However they were just selling me cheap speakers. When I called to make a complaint about the sales person I got the run around until I was disconnected.
Good luck dealing with Dell if you have a compliant.

No offense to anybody, but the guys on Dell support speak worse english than me,my first language is not english either and sometimes I have such hard time understanding them.
Had to call today because my Streak keeps freezing if it's facing my leg,I had such difficult time understanding every single word they guy said but anyways they are gonna send me a replacement so we'll see.....though as soon as I get it in the mail I am gonna list it on ebay,I am kind of tired of this device and its glitches.
I am really frustrated with my LG G2 because of the screen problem I encountered. The screen goes up and down, it happens when I over using the phone. I went on LG service center to reset my phone. still no luck, the problem is still there. They think its a software problem. I hope LG will release new software update on G2
To me that seems more like a hardware problem, not a software one.
Can you reproduce the problem at will?
Dude, I think you have a lemon...
Good luck!
It happened when i charged my phone with the screen is on and i always reading manga. maybe the screen is too sensitive. Yea i think this is hardware issue
I have used mine while connected and charging... Never had a problem with that.

Hopefully you're still in your exchange period...swap it out
You are running it completely stock? And you've done a factory reset? If so, it sounds to me like your phone is defective. These phones are so new it should still be under warranty, right?
Just got the same problem as OP last night and I've used it only for 1 month,so now I send my phone to LG service center and they said it was a hardware problem not sure which part but will reply here soon when I got my phone back and tell you all what's the problem...

Got a similar problem. I am unsure if I want to send it back for exchange or just keep it, as there are plenty of reports of owners exchanging G2's just to get another with the same problem. Looks to me to be a software issue - at least with my G2 - as I can get past it by just turning the screen off/on.
Let us know how your G2 turns out.

Lol just swapped it out. We will see how the new one does but so far way way better. Seriously my phone was horrible. I read and read thread after threads today and my case seemed way worse then everyone else's. Like most people's was tolerable, this was intolerable. I'd say 6 out of 10 times u turned on the screen it be messed up.
I showed the best buy mobile guy and he said without a doubt there's a problem. The best place for me to show him was the app drawer, if u held ur finger on the screen it would bounce and randomly select apps, we tried the demo unit and it worked perfectly.
Ill keep u updated on how this baby does.

Well that didn't take long. Started setting the phone up and all was good. Started disabling the apps I don't use and after that it went berserk. I thought Hhmm maybe it's one of the apps causing it so did a factory reset and no it did right off the bat so I'm done. If it wasn't to late tonight I woulda just took it back again. Back to the Note 2.

Yikes - sorry to hear this.
I wondered if my first G2 was worse b/c I aggressively set it up right from the start: disabling apps I don't want, installing a bunch of apps, etc. On G2 #2, I didn't do that and although I've seen this issue surface on my new G2, it has been just a couple of times.
You need to use whatever phone you get the most enjoyment out of. The G2 undeniably has a software glitch that causes this PIA issue. Too bad it didn't work out for you. Good luck with your Note.
I hope LG addresses this issue SOON!!

Thank you, I hope it works out for you guys and they fix it. I love the phone and want it to work but it just isnt gonna happen right now. Im just gonna cancel my upgrade and I guess eat the $35 restocking fee which I think is crap but oh well.
Ill keep my eyes on the forum and may return to it if they fix the phone cause im not gonna use my upgrade right now. Besides this glitch the phonw is a beast. Good luck...

This happened to a few people here in Thailand. We are posting the issues on a group in facebook.
My iPhone 4s used to bounce all over the place when plugged in to charge.
My G2 hasn't had any hardware issues at all yet. I've had it going on 7 months now. Works perfectly.
My advice is that if you get a replacement or repair and it does it again, never get another LG product again. Just like me an Apple. I'm done with them. There's a guy here who wants his old Note 2 back. I know a guy who had 3 motherboards replaced on his Note 2. The last one broke the screen as the phone was swollen. There's no way of knowing. Its just the luck of the draw with these things.
When you get a really good phone, keep it and use it until it disintegrates. As long as this G2 is fine, I won't part with it for anything.
And yes. This is a hardware issue.

Maybe this can be replaced by the warranty service.
bring it to the service center.. but you will handle the repair.. if your liable for the damage
