Check RAM

Hey,
Can someone tell me how to check how much RAM is available on the HTC Magic please?
Have you tried searching the Market? There's quite a few apps that will do this.

Can anyone tell me the best ROM to put on this 192MB version for maximum performance?
nk02's Ion ROM or SPF's European ROM (see my signature)

You are? Really ?
I've seen several video of the Hero now that's it has gone in several reviewers hands and none is reporting any slowdowns.
The hardware of the HERO is much like the one you have (except for the camera and the 3.5mm jack).
From the videos is running very nicely with no slowdowns at all..
Weird...either we've got a buggy version (may be a release candidate) that has leaked earlier.. or.. don't know..
I thought it was running fine on Magics with 288Mb of RAM...
anidel
Im running Hero 1.4, i have no slowdowns at all, so maybe you did something wrong when installing?
ive heard the hero and magic are almost identicle in hardware specs wise.only thing hero has on it is a 3.5mm jack and a dedicated camera button.look on youtube for htc magic running hero rom and youll see that the htc magic should have NO problems running the rom.you just have to find the best rom that doesnt slow down the magic.

I'm using 1.2 and it's smooth. I had to remove the weather widget, and set facebook contacts to update manually. Most of the lag is caused when apps are updating (stocks, weather, FB, etc..)

Can you please explain why this is newer than 2.10 radio? Or is this 2.09 the newest with 576MB RAM?

+1
interessed too
I'm wondering also if 2.10 based custom ROMs work best with this radio or with the 2.10 radio.
tbh if in doubt stick with 2_09_51 for no 576MB. For 576MB then 2_01_50 - problem sorted.
I've found marginal differences between the two. Perhaps 2_09_50 adds something but it can't be a massive amount - not like the changes from earlier radios.

What marginal differences did you find? And are your findings based on disassembly or <20hrs of usage?
i just flashed 2.09.50.29_2 radio. My first impression was the change in 3g signal quality.
In my room,
Using 2.10 radio, my 3G signal is around 2-3 bar when I leave my phone on the table, and 1-2 bar when i hold it on my hand.
However with this radio, 3G signal is 3-4bars when I leave it on the the table, and 2-3 bars when phone is on my hand.
There seems to be a better signal quality, at least for my case.
Call quality seems alright.
Can't report on effect on battery life yet.
I installed this radio this morning, to test it - My first impression is that batterylife on it is very poor - I loose like 5% battery everytime i use the phone for sending a text message.. Went back to 2.09.51 version, a lot better battery on that... I even had to charge it this afternoon to keep it on..
There were so many advices on the radio version numbers..
xx.xx.50.xx - for HD2 Tmous
xx.xx.51.xx - for HD2 (classic, or original, or whatever - just HD2
The best advice - just do not mix radios with wrong HD2s. There are many stability issues. Also, that notorious 576 MB, which does not exist in reality on a classic HD2..

[Q] Neocore results for Darkstone's DesireHD ROM on HD2?

Let's find out whether that "brand new" Adreno 205 is really brand new, or mostly just the 45nm version of the 200

Are you using Darkstone's DesireHD ROM? I suppose that only that one contains the proper module and driver...
Hi,
I've tried to install this app trough Android Market and downloading the apk directly without success with both ways
im using mdeejay desireHD and still can not get neocore to start. says i dont have qualcomm. (tried all other available ROMS still nothing, think i have a fake? its from TMOUS)

I read somewhere, that it is indeed not possible to get Neocore working from the market (for DesireHD based ROMs). The manual APK method SHOULD(?) work

The ROMs you tried are likely do not contain the appropriate kernel module and/or android driver. Darkstone's DesireHD ROM builds are the most likely to have fully working 3D acceleration, because Darkstone reported significantly improved graphics performance with his HD builds.
I got 30.7 FPS with daskstone's desire rom on my HD2
OH,it works well on my HD2 with darkstone's desire rom
I got 30.5 FPS with Mdeejay Froyo Z and Hastarin R 7.2. Didn't expect it to work
Sent from my HTC HD2 using Tapatalk
I'm getting a benchmark score of 31.2 - Check the signiture for what build i'm using, not to sure what a good/average score might be. Try different roms out and we should check the differences out, could be interesting.
any hints for a apk, as it's not working from the market?
