Hey guys. I am running a 2.1 on my streak. I noticed a very annoying bug that i wonder if anyone knows how to fix. When a call comes in, sometimes the phone stays at the main screen without showing the caller id screen with the option to answer it. Did this ever happen to anyone else?

Yep it happens to me, it just vibrates. I end up having to press the phone icon and then going to call in progress. It takes a extra few seconds but not that much of a drama.
Same issue here. I've tried opening the phone app while it's vibrating but just shows the dialpad... What build are you guys on? I'm on 6941
been thinking about updating to the uk official 2.1 build cuz if this and another thing where when I'm on the phone with someone it calls the last dialed number, but not sure if that's from my cheek pressing on the screen or a bug.

I am frustrated because I keep on pressing the back button accidentally when the phone rings.. why did Verizon/Samsung make stupid judgment that someone would press back button instead of using the screen to ignore the call? Is there any way to disable that function? I love my phone but I have to constantly call someone back because I accidentally hang up on them by pressing back button..
Is this the case for other phones like Epic as well???
Anyone? Am I the only one experiencing this??
i experience this as well but i have no solution
This has been happening to me, as well..really unacceptable...is this issue specific to the fascinate or galaxy s phones.
Hopefully, will be resolved in an update.
I think I remember this being on the forums before as well as problems with the accidental actuation of the search hanging up the phone while on a call. Think its software related.

Dos anyone has this issue? after calling screen automatically locks, I know this was normal on 1.6 but what about 2.1, I'm getting it once in a while
I get it very time I try to call a number that is busy. Seriously annoying too.
Never had it after a call though.
I noticed that this happens if your screen has pin or password lock, but if you lock it with pattern it's ok.

Is there anyway to end the call rather then.... having to unlock the phone pull the task bar down then hit end... sometime I just wanted to hang up people rather then them just listening to me trying to hang up on them.. that give them time to say "you better now hang up on me" 0.0

What rom are you running. Theres a soft end call button on every rom and dialer im aware of.
Did you change a setting? The phone never locks up for me when on a call.
if you used other apps during phone call, the phone can go to lock. the only way i know to do want you want is to root, then you can remap the buttons
this thread starts with search button, but i think some where down the line, people are posting other options. read on.

Just root it, the stock rom stays unlike the old mytouch which requires wipe to root.

Yes, stay in the call screen. Then you just pull it away from your face and hit end call...easy as pie. If you exit to the home screen, the phone will lock and you have to do it your way.
OR
If you do have to leave the call to do something else, go back into the call screen when you're done so the end call button is always there.
The phone doesn't lock as long as the "in call" screen is up.
Ending call a call on my nexus 4 is difficult as the screen shown to me when i pull the phone from my ear is the control menu instead of call the call window. I have clicked the icon in settings to use the power button.... But thus to me doesn't seem the right answer for what's really a problem. Certainly coming from using an iPhone not having the call screen to end calls when you pull the phone from your face does seem silly to me
Any ideas what I should do?

I have no idea what you mean by "control menu."
When I pull the phone away from my ear there is a dialer pad and a big red button to end the call.
The "control menu" isn't the right word for it... I think its called the status menu. Its menu you pull down with one or two fingers.
It does it every time.

i think its just the way you put the phone on your ear
Really? I actually don't know what to say... Maybe I should ask how am I supposed to hold the phone.
I put it up to my ear it goes black whilst I am on the phone and then I pull the phone from my ear it still black then a few seconds later it wakes up and shows me that control/status pull down screen.

That's odd. Never heard of this happening. Maybe try a factory reset?

I also want to add that it works normally if I don't make a connection ie someone doesn't answer the call. Only when the call is answered dies this happen.

same weird problem here, running faux kernel.
Are you sliding the phone around on your face or something? Are there things protruding from your face/head that are hitting home or back? What the heck?

Hi friends I am also facing problem "screen does not light up during calls ,give us some solution
Whenever I get an incoming call and the screen is off, it takes the screen several seconds to turn on. I almost can't answer the call because the screen doesn't come on until the caller hangs up. I'm stock but rooted. Anyone have any ideas? It's really annoying.
Wish I could help. I use the quick window case and the calls display in the window faster it seems because only the top half congress on

It's almost like there's screen lag when a call is incoming. I can hear the ringtone and see the LED light blinking but the screen remains black for 4-7 seconds. If the caller continues hanging on...the screen will eventually come on and show the incoming call screen.
This really sucks.
EDIT: I think I figured it out. I froze the Caller Name ID app in TiBu and I guess by freezing it, it caused some issues when calls out come in. Defrosting it fixed the incoming call screen lag. I wonder if it would still produce lag if I were to completely uninstall it?
