I have to say that I am absolutely loving Virtuous right now. I have tried them all and it's my daily driver.

virtuous - extremely stable and customizable. Best so far. Did try a bunch of others and always came back to virtuous. In fact I stopped experimenting with others. I am going steady with her now waiting for it to ask me for a diamond ring to show real commitment.
I like virtuous. It's the closest to stock but with lots of mods. I personally love to rotary lockscreen from our friend ihtfp69. But I only tried skyraider during RC2. Cm is nice except no sense widgets.

I can say virtuous is probably THE best as far as stability and customization. It's by far one of the most polished ROMs out for the incredible right now.
I've tried both skyraider vanilla and sense and they are very nice ROMs as well. Unfortunately, a couple bugs bothered me and i always went back to virtuous.
CM6 was my first ROM and it was unfortunately too buggy for me. I miss a lot of things about it but overall, I realized there are a lot of things about Sense that i could not live without.
Desire HD ROM was also pretty cool but only because we got to see what great things HTC is inventing. I am also looking forward to dev's incorporating some things from it... like booting up in seconds!
Currently I am running uncommon sense and it's honestly just as stable (so far) as virtuous. Considering this is the first version of it, I am extremely impressed.
Since i was using virtuous with the sexyrosiemod and rotary lockscreen (but i really wanted the vanilla lockscreen), uncommon sense is pretty much my set up but built in the ROM already. As far as getting rid of bloatware though, i have to say virtuous is the easiest ROM for it. I had to use titanium with uncommon sense which really isn't that big of a deal but it wasn't as user friendly as virtuous.
EDIT: Forgot something important. I later found out that you can uninstall apps straight from the app menu in uncommon sense. very handy!
also, the other quirks in uncommon sense has really made me attached to this ROM. I never thought i would cross over from virtuous but I did and I don't see myself going back (due to personal preference not because it's necessarily better). If i was going to recommend a ROM to a friend, i would say virtuous.
From what you say cheese I'm going to give uncommon sense a try. So far I like it. Been only 10 minutes though

Uncommon Sense.
It just works for me all the way through. The bloatware can be a little annoying but it's easily taken care of.
I would have to say virtuous also. I was a big fan of skyraider and can't wait for gold. But uncommon sense was slow for me. I don't use rosie but I like the color settings menu and the status bars better than vanilla.

In my opinion if you're looking for the Sense experience Virtuous is the best one out there. It doesn't change anything drastically, and the UI changes are subtle and more of added polish than wholesale changes you'll get with some other roms. I really like the spirit of the project which is to remain as close to stock as possible but to give the user options that they don't have with the official build.
It's been rock solid for me, the only issue was the Gmail Update issue with 2.7 which was quickly resolved.
Redemption ROM-
Best if you want sense without the added bloatware
It's pretty fast too!

I think more people should try redemption. its been nothing but smooth.
Virtuous is nice too. great battery life with the custom kernel.
Actually, They're all really good. I've been doing a lot of jumping around from rom to rom because they're all really good. That's what's great about being rooted. Try'em all!
I like the new Uncommon 1.0 ROM. It is very clean and smooth and I like the small changes that were made. I am also noticing that my battery is lasting alot longer with this ROM.
I am also using Uncommon. Came from CM which was way too buggy for me and unstable.
I'm running with Uncommon Sense right now but had been on Virtuous after trying SR, Frankenrom, and the nonSense ROMS (CM, Ruby).
It's pretty nice and probably a bit more streamlined than Virtuous but still lacks something I can't place. I'd prefer Virtuous to have the power option to Reboot but while that mod is available, it conflicts with the Rotary Lockscreen mod which I like too, as well as the Revolution theme (well the rotary lockscreen conflicts). It would be nice to have DSP built in as well but aside from that these are both terrific ROMS. Hmmm...they should get married! Get the best of both worlds!
If you use HTC sense, which I assume you do based on the title of the thread, then Virtuous is the cleanest and most stable stock sense experience you'll find.
I use SR vanilla mostly because I only like SOME of sense, like the gallery and camera app. I use launcher pro too, so having a full sense rom wouldn't be too beneficial for me personally. Gotta love choice

Well guys, I am running on unity now and I've got the beats addon. I like beats audio enhancement very much. But however the sense 3.0+roms are just too heavy for me to use, as it is laggy and I can't multi task(I don't want to use the sd partition as it damages the sd card)
I am a music guy so I need a good music output for my dz
Can someone recommend some roms that have a good audio output ,lite and fast? It can be any kind of rom except unity, dhd port sense 3.0 ,beatmod and runnymede,as I have already tried them. If by any chance somebody have a beats audio mod for sense 2.1, pls tell me, I'll be very grateful to you, thx.(it'll be best if the recommended roms run with sense)

Beats, to be honest, is a pile of marketing crap.
Doesn't sound nearly as good as the Neutron MP3 player.

Use cyanogenmod 7, and use DSP manager, built in. Its brilliant. More bass than beats mode

oddly enough I could never get cyanogenmod properly working, it would be stuck for hours on the cyanogen loading screen and wouldn't actually run.
Have you tried mexdroid? It's got the cyanogen dsp built in and sounds pretty good, but I have never used Beats so I can't compare it. I tried that recommended music app above and hated it.
+1 for mexdroid ghost chilli, if you really don't want MIUI or sense with sd ext.
Thx xT4Z1N4TRx,Well tried and the sound really is pleasing thx, but I just can't stand the stock android UI (poisoned by HTC Sense)

Well absolutely agreed with you, the player really did SUCKED and the player pro is much better with a user friendly UI, and with themes XXD.BTW, If you hadn't tried beats, try it pls and I'd like to have some comment on the beats mod vs cm7 with dsp. ^,^
+1 on Neutron music player
It helps out your audio sound quality much more than the Beats silliness
and don't forget to use wav or other lossless music formats (such as flac) if you are serious about good sound, mp3's sound like crap if you are used to full CD quality such as a wav file.
Neutron is not free though ($5), Player Pro would be my 2nd choice, and it's also $5
keep in mind though, the difference in music players makes a small improvement, the difference between lossy formats (i.e. MP3, WMA, OGG, AAC) and lossless formats (WAV, AIFF, AU, FLAC, APE, WV, M4A, TTA) is HUGE!
Well I don't mean to insult any neutron player users, but I personally really don't like that player, the scrolling is buggy and the UI is very ,you know, somehow not good, that's why I gave up the player at once

to use CM7 you need to do a full wipe. (do a nandroid first!)
the nightlies are good stuff.
to the OP: try cyanogenmod7 nightlies, they have DSM manager.
So is the sound quality in miui roms really not that good? I heard that they suck LOL

MIUI is pretty crap on sound output, although, the performance is pretty zippy but faced more FCs compared to CM7.1. Went for Bulletproof MIUI, but the general issues are inherited from the MIUI base.
Recently, I have moved to ILWT CM7.1 and used multiple versions from ILWT. This seems to be the best for me yet and plan to stick to it. Couple of things that made me move include much much better sound, more stable, less FCs and OS environment native to android.

Try the ILWT CM7.1. Simply go to your CWM Recorvery, do a full factory wipe, dump your cache and install the rom zip. This has always worked for me for most roms - generally the miui or cm7 based roms worked flawlessly using the above method.

This thread is regarding ICS with Sense 4 on the DZ/G2, which doesn't exist yet.
Tried all the ICS ports/builds that are available and have finally settled back on quattro with nova launcher. Very happy with the stock ics feel/look but would like some of the sense features. The camera is very good on sense and I like the music app/beats. Maybe a sense port with nova on top would be a good compromise.

Have been on ICS for a couple of months, ever since the first ports were out. Have tried them all including andro. For me quattro with nova is by far the smoothest. With supercharger it is completely free of graphical glitches. The only thing not working is the camera and with angel cam I can get 5m pixel pics without artifacts. With a 1.3ghz oc I comfortably get 12-16 hours between charges. I just can't get that from any of the other ICS roms.
I am though looking forward to a native ics with sense for some of the extra features.
I'm looking at getting back onto Sense. Last one I had was Unity 1.29!
I like the Sense 3.5 ROMS but there is so much discussion about MMS and cameras not working. I know you can install apks to fix those issues but are those problems on all of them? The opinions seem all over the place on these two issues.
In case it's relevant, I'm looking into flashing either BinDroid, RunnyMede Xtreme v2, Virtuous Affinity, or Runny Xtreme Surprise - v3.
Any help and thoughts on this?

Of the choices you have there, definately use Virtuous Affinity. But I'm currently using Endymion 3.5, & it is practically perfect. But with either, you can't go wrong. Also, my wife has beenvusing LeeDroid for months, & its great too. Most of the Sense 3.0 & 3.5 are very stable.

Android revolution. Just didnt feel like spelling it all out lol
Is there really any difference between all these though? Other than the RCMix3D tweaks? How does "Rev" () really vary from Affinity for example?
Also, I've been on Runny Xtreme v2 all day and I can't tell.. what exactly is new about Sense 3.5?
Android Revolution is a great ROM and so is Bindroid. Try both and see which one you prefer.
Which Revolution, though? Sense 3.5 or the stable Sense 3.0?

Ok, trying out Affinity for the next day and then I'll see where I stand. I wasn't crazy about the Revolution notes mentioning FCs on camcorder. I really have to have Camera and Camcorder working perfectly.
If you want everything to work "out of the box", try Bindroid first.

Camcorder FC has been fixed
I would recommend Sense 3.0, everything works right out of the box. Another sweet thing ARHD has that not many others do is GPU UI Rendering. This results in noticeable performance improvements.

And is there really NO 3.5 that has a perfectly working camera and camcorder? What other major problems are there? Sorry, I'm coming from another ROM so the commonly known issues of Sense 3.5 aren't something I'm familiar with.

Saranhai is right about ARHD having GPU UI Rendering both for the Sense 3.0 and Sense 3.5 versions, which does translate into snappier performance. What it comes down to is personal preference, and if video camera and camera function is important "out of the box", try the Sense 3.0 ARHD version and Bindroid with Sense 3.5. Good luck!

So what are the options people? I'm currently playing with Go Launcher and a Sense 4.0 theme, which oddly feels faster while being more customizable. I didn't care for the default Go Launcher theme it rubbed me wrong, probably the only part of Sense I still like is the icons and presentation of apps. Thinking about going to a rooted stock with custom kernel or a custom rom with custom kernel. I don't know, really confused right now

That's why we have choices. So everyone can be happy . Myself I'm a Sense kinda guy, cause it only makes Sense :cyclops: . But that being said, I've come across quite a few very good non-Sense Roms.
The email, messaging, and people apps are what mainly keep me on Sense. The way I use them only works in Sense. If the AOSP versions worked similarly I'd likely be useing something else. They're a lot easier to port.
Sense seems fairly bloated to me. I love how native Android ICS and JB have evolved and become more smooth and streamlined. I recommend checking out the ICS custom ROMs on this board (I'm on kushdeck's pb21 build still). That is kind of where I think I was going before trying another modded out ROM. Think I just want to try vanilla with a fancy kernel. Some things that I know I like and would like to keep, WiMax (even though I rarely use it, no use paying for it if I can't use it), Keyboard lights as I work a night shift I inevitably have to hit up the phone and keyboard at night and the elusive landscape mode. Think I might be stuck on gingerbread because of this but I'm gonna look around.

A2SD has to do with the Kernel, as it determines the Ext. But it also usually has to baked into the Rom. Then enabled after you flash. But you can use DarkTremors A2SD Script to add and enable it on most Roms that it's not baked into.
About your Sig. I say go for it.
