Angry Birds can't play in wildfire??
I try to download but after install its not allow to open....
That's right, it isn't available for QVGA devices yet. But the're working on a fix for that.

already tried the unlock trick but still not working. got sound but white screen. I m using stock rom+rooted
Works fine for me, you just need to lock and unlock a few times and you come to the menu. And dammit, the game is awesome!

I got the apk off a different site for the lite version and it force closes

I'm on a customer 2.1 rom and have tried the lock/unlock method but I've got nothing. Hopefully they'll develop a lover res version soon.
mine works fine.
Got mine to work fine... it jus needs playin around with the lock/unlock.

have you tried v1.4.2 "windywoo" ? ... its working fine to me, with stock rom .. just need screen lock / unlock once a time ..
a little bit lagging, but playable ... setting the cpu rate higher solved the problem
guys is working fine on wildfire after you press on the game the screen goes black for like 20 secs maybe or something like that then you can hear music starting to play and you see something on your screen that aint black anymore ... at that point lock your phone then unlock it and it will work i can guarantee i got like at half of the game and now i'm playin angry birds seasons too

Is there some magic I have to do on the wildfire to get it to work?
I tried it today on my GFs wildfire I bought her for Xmas, Froyo, screen goes black, and graphics scroll around edges. It works fine on my Iphone and Galaxy.
I've completed seasons today, and jsut got Hang 'em high - IMO the hardest yet.
I installed mine two days ago (after upgrade to 2.2 stock). When click to open it gives me black screen for few seconds, then I lock and unlock phone and it goes in full screen. Works ok. Lags somethimes but not too much.
Advice: Turn off your conections before playing (that way you shut down adds).
Worked on 2.1 stock after lock/unlock, haven't yet tried on stock 2.2.
Anyway, some parts are missing due to low resolution, but playable, not as much fun as on desire, hangs sometimes.
I am waiting for PC version and QVGA support.

Do any of you have any problems with the built in app Layer?
Every time I load it all I get is the Blue Layer logo and underneath a message saying 'Updating Featured'.
It does nothing else..... Left it running for 15mins and nothing!
I had this issue yesterday... I managed to get it to load once by keeping the screen alive for about 3 minutes... Seems strange. I also had the wonky horizon issue that's been posted.
Overall though, I felt the experience was great once in! It new where all my nearest ATMs were, even though I live in the sticks.

Thanks for the reply crabby.
I first logged in yesterday...... It worked after about 5mins (roughly as you mention) but the GPS was miles off.
I then went into Maps and no matter what I do my position at Home ALWAYS shows the same position which is approx 1ml to the West and a large error circle.
Tried switching On/Off both WiFi & GPS but no joy..
So it would appear I have two issues ~ Layar & GPS position.
Ahhh well.... back to the drawing board I'm afraid.
just so you know... My layar is now working. It takes about 30 seconds to load but then works fine. Haven't tried GPS yet...

I had the same issue, I just reinstalled from the market place. I also think you get the latest version of layar. Hope it helps.

Yes, in the end after trying countless times I also went to The Market just as you and Downloaded/Installed the latest version.
It's quite a significant jump from being version 3.1 which is part of the Galaxy S ROM to version 3.5 downloaded from The Market.
Anyway, after installing v3.5 and running it I'm very happy to report Layar now loads practically straight away.
Now all I need to do is sort out my GPS issue and I'll be a happy surgeon.
Layar Reality mode and a bad GPS simply do not go together.
Yaaayy, I finally had this thingy working! All I did was let it do the "updating" part and 5 minutes later it was running!

Silent Hill? Of all games you want to replay Silent Hill? That game was too damn scary for me back than and I was maybe 16 or 17.
A friend of mine recently gave me his busted xbox 360 and it came with a few games as well as Silent Hill: Homecoming. I thought I could handle it now. Nope, I was wrong. I turned out all the lights and played on my 56in with 5.1 sound system in the living room. It was too damn scary for me again. I heard every little noise in front and behind me. 10 minutes into it I took it out and was done with that evil ass game.

that's the first game i tried .
and sadly, its hardly playable.. there is a white box that appears around the characters and sometimes they just disappear in the mist..
i'll upload a screencap and a list of games i have tried..
btw.. pm me if anyone has trouble finding a good site for the roms (although google still is your best friend for that )
edit: Screencaps added.
well, now that i tried it again.. the game isn't too unplayable.. I'll try finding a ripped rom.. maybe that works better.

ugh guys i ran into an issue i forgot about. if youre using the on screen keyboard, the nexus one multitouch screen is the issue. i was playing RE1 and i forgot that i had to hold the R+L button to use the weapon n sadly, we cant do that on our devices
**EDIT: FF7 seems to work fine. FF8 works fine except for the video at the very beginning of the game. i will test out MG Solid later on in the day**

just downloaded and i would love a list as well. i'm just searching for the bios
Tried Tekken3, the game runs without any error but the fps is crap, somewhere about 13fps. Im on N1.

ah i was just about to try it. good thing im not now lol i tried mortal kombat trilogy n its a no go. gets stuck on the screen that says Mortal Kombat Trilogy and the dragon logo

Hahaha, that's the point. The sound of static was never the same afterward. I love love love this series (at least, up to SH3). It's probably going to be a lot less scary on a 3.7 in screen anyway.

Oh. Well, at least it loads and runs. Weird glitch, though.
DONT JUDGE ME!!!!......but Rugrats Search for Reptar works fine lol i was searching through roms and i saw this and loved it as a child so i wanted to give it a try for the hell of it n it brought back a lot of memories
Downloaded Tomba to try. Graphics were glitchy and it ran extremely slow. Gonna search for some more ROMs

Where did you get a working copy of tekken? Ive tried so many different ones that the emulator wont read....and also someone mentioned resident evil i would love to try and get that one as well.....If you dont want to post link pm me please
also if anyone has a link for how its possible to rip ps1 games, i will have a HUGE list

RE runs good but the multitouch screen issue is a problem. if youre using a bluetooth control then it should work fine
Where did you get RE from tho? and what is everyone setting their fps to? default or something else?

I found out that when running the game for the first time, make sure there is a working internet connection for it to work.

Is it just me or is the Arc launcher extremely slow and laggy and makes the ROM seem slower than it really is?
When I open camera it says Unknown errer and I can't use it. Don't know how to repair camera. This happened after update on Android 2.3.3.

I just resolve it. I formated card and all was good, but when i took back videos and pictures on SD problem came back. So I deleted video that camera read from galery which I took with arc and send to X10 via bluetooth. Problem is now gone. Other videos and pictures is reading normaly. Now it records videos and shooting pictures without any problems.
problem with copilot live 8.2
as in 2.1 stock rom, GPS app copilot live 8.2 don't work fine. Is even worst with official GB : keyboard problem and no roads on the map.
I will revert to wolfbreak TW9... waiting devs to fix some on this GB.

Also, another thing:whenever something pops up on the notification bar, like when you plug in USB or when you're installing app and an icon appears, the phone LED flashes....I've never seen that behaviour before.

yeah, once or twice and light blue..its weird.
Listening to music (Tested with stock app and doubletwist) sucks with this firmware, because everytime you turn on the screen the sound interrupts for a short time. In addition every 10-20 seconds there are random interruptions.
I'm allready running a rooted ROM with many tweaks and ~70 MB free RAM the whole time.

Did you turn on your wifi on and not connected to any of it? I tried turning off my wi-fi when it's out of range and it solved that problem. My guess is the search signal is re-established every 20 seconds, and it's disrupting the sound output.

i tried installing blast monkeys the other day but was unable to play it as it was ending unexpectedly every time i tried to load it. i was just wondering whether the density has any effect on apps/games running at all???

Not really, and by reading about it, it seems some members experience more FC's when using density hacks.
Probably the Wildfire doesn't meet the game's minimum hardware requirements. (Just speculating, since I haven't heard about it)

Also i got another problem,same like the above, but it is for angrybirds 1.4, where the game loads into a screen showing only a quarter part of the splash screen of the game,so i tried to free up more ram, over clocked processor to 710 mhz, etc. Bt nothing helped, bt the game loads cool in sg mini with 600 mhz processor, so i tried every way,even changed the rom,just to find a way 2 make it work. And i had done it, load the game-stuck in quarter splash-sleep down the device by pressing power button-wake up again-viola,the game continues in fullscreen, played cool with native processor speed,
Now abot changing density, i changed it to 110, where original is 120,rebooted, now the screen images and contents are little small, the only app that force close is adobe reader ,so i reinstall it after wiping dalvic cache, but still problem remains, so i updated it from market,and the problem is solved,the another issue i have is with native htc clicker and htc ime,which i use more than android keyboard, it fills only about 80% of the screen, i am trying to make it fullscreen.
I am using cm7.0.3 stable, oc kernal,latest radio, about 40+ app,and a2ad script. All together itz cool.
