I have bouhgt capdace silicon case to my HD 2 and i tired to put it on the leather case but it didnt fit in eaven close, so i came up a way to enlarge the case
If your device does not fit in to case just put the case in hot water and then just streach it as mutch as it goes. I streched it around my calculator case and after it was dryed 24h i tooked it of and but the HD 2 whit silocon case to it and this time it fit very fine
So if you want to use the original leather case but its too small dont worry
So your saying you put a silicone case on your phone, then tried to put it in the leather case? What is the point of 2 cases? Also the title of your thread is misleading. It should say "Leather case too small when hd2 is already in a silicone case."
Why did you do that for? Poor leather case.
Are you going to try stretching a silicon case so that you can fit another silicon case on the HD2?

Don't be silly!!! He would need yet another leather case to protect the silicon one. And another to protect that, FFS!!!
I mean that i have the silicon cover whitch covers the back and the sides of the phone but the screen is un covered ( i have invisible shield on it) but i want to put it on the leather case so if i but example my keys to same pocket i know there would not be any scratch on the screen but what more "cover" than more "cover"
Now it does not broke so easy if it some how drops
I just hear "thump" voice when it drops Lol
haven't y'all ever heard of double wrapping it?!?
Actually I have 2 cases as well. I use the bodyglove kickstand case, then a leather belt case that the phone lives in.
But mine fit together nicely.
Actually my original leather case *IS* too tight.
In fact I have never used it because it's so difficult to take the phone in & out.
But I guess it's bad luck (like other things about my Leo ... coming in on Monday from warranty screen repair).
I carry this around with me at all times, I couldn't take my HD2 out of the house without it. Double-wrapping my HD2 in silicon and then leather case just isn't enough for me.

I think its just a matter of time before the tight original leather case becomes loose enuf for easy use...well mine has...

Fits like a glove!
When I first got my HD2 I saw the leather case, and thought "That is way too tight" and I ended up buying a velvety case (a bit like the one my old HD (Blackstone) came with), but I didn't like the way it felt, so I started using the leather one, and after a couple of days it stretched and now it "fits like a glove" and if anything I find it a little too loose now!

If you want the ultimate protection for your HD2 check out the Otterbox Defender case. Amazon and Ebay are the the cheapest.

I was of course being facetious with that comment, but yes I have both and they are both excellent. I use the Defender mainly for nights on the town and the Commuter for everyday use.

Well there seems to be a lot of views about the best cases out there, just wondered what the most 'pocket friendly' case was?
Don't care about the material as long as it isn't a sock or a stick-on option (ie an actual case)
Definitely no belt loop, preferably a very low profile clasp etc...
Basically just want something that is likely to stop it getting scratched up in a bag or if it was dropped, but don't need full armour!
Any good suggestions?
I've been looking for something pocket friendly as well... I'm almost ready to just get a thin sunglass pouch... currently I'm using a case for a Sprint Mogul, but it has a belt clip...
i use an ipod slip case, and have pulled off the belt clip, gives good protection to the screen,
going to order a leater slip case from www.pdair.com to see what thats like
I've got one of these - http://www.pdair.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=10100000_900000_11000164&products_id=6561
Doesn't add much to the size at all, and I keep mine in my pocket all the time.
Here is what I'm using, it comes in Black, Brown or Pink:
http://www.wirelessground.com/tiltflipblack.html
It covers the back and front very well, the cut outs are aligned very well, it has a slimmer form factor than the Krussel Orbit I normally use.
Here is the one my spouse uses, it comes in Black or White:
http://www.boxwave.com/products/dlsleeve/at_t-tilt-designio-leather-sleeve_2906.htm
I just ordered one of these yesterday. I will let you know how it is hopefully tomarrow or over the weekend.

i would be interested in your opinions and if you could confirm these points for me:
1) Can you still use the touch screen?
2) If the slide up and tilt works fine with the case on
3) The general quality and how bulky it is in a pocket
this looks perfect for me as i wanted a 2 piece armour case where i could still slide open the phone

The "tiltflipblack" is made by PDair and is available for 1/2 that price. I've had one for several weeks and it still looks new, and I wear it every day. It's the perfect case for me.
The slimest most "pocketable" case I've found yet, is the formfitting Noreve case as seen here:
http://www.pocketpcfreak.com/archive/00006945.htm
It is also one of the very few - true - formfitting cases (using a laminated leather design, w/o the ugly and disturbing plasting cover over the KB. It protects the front and back really well, if not so much the sides. Easy to use and good workmanship.
Actually it IS meant (IMO) for pocket carrying.
Have it for about a month, still looks as new. If however looking for a drawback, then to my daily use pattern there is one. While in the case using the Kaiser/Tilt for navigation (in a cradle) needs taking it out of the case.

Just wanted to add my comments based on owning 4 different cases for the Tilt/Kaiser ...
The PDAir aluminum cased is good and pocketable. It is a little on the heavy side, but I've carried it arond now for a couple of weeks and it's all right. The downside is that there is a hard plastic protector over the touchscreen of the Tilt. You have to open the case to use the touchscreen or you have to take the hard plastic out. You can either cut out or push it out with some force, but the plastic is glued in and is under the neoprene that cushions the Tilt against the case. Not the smallest feel in the pocket, but no leather covered cardboard bulk feel. The size of this reminds me of a naked 8125 in my pocket (did that without disaster for almost 2 years).
I also tried the PDAir leather flip case. That one is definitely not pocketable unless you have some REALLY big pockets. And I'm not a big flip cover guy. Another strike is the plastic keyboard cover.
I also tried the Noreve and it's a nice leather case. I would consider this one pocketable, it's rather slim. But it has the flip cover. The good thing is that it has no plastic keyboard cover. It's a little loose when you close the cover with the snap. It's not loosely held in ... that's a good fit. But the snap doesn't hold the flip cover down as firmly as I'd like.
Lastly, I JUST snapped on one of the plastic snap-on kind. Good fit, but not sure how much the plastic will help in a fall. It snapped on tightly ... so tightly it took 15 minutes to get it off! I did not like that at all. If something goes wrong and you need to drop the battery quickly ... 'quickly' won't happen with this case. You can still use the touchscreen and it's a very tight snap on fit. Doesn't add much bulk or weight for pocket storage. NOTE: if you pick one of these up, be careful and check whether the belt clip button on the case is screw on or permanent. The permanent ones won't be pocketable.
The best feel in the pocket is the plane Tilt/Kaiser with no case. But I know I'm pushing my luck if I continue to do that. Still switching up to see what I end up liking most. Hope this info helps folks.
Tothotspur said:

1) Can you still use the touch screen?
YES!
The openings for the keypad and LCD are tappered to provide the best access to the edges but they become alittle harder to get at due to the thickness of the plastic.
2) If the slide up and tilt works fine with the case on
Yes the screen slides out and up to the normal position. The upper softkeys are silightly harder to get at when tilted due to the tickness of the plastic.
3) The general quality and how bulky it is in a pocket
Fit was tight, and snapped into place. I do not plan to use the clip as it is optional, but I will follow up with a proper review and test it out. I will get exact mesuraments later but it is not a big change and well worth the extra size.

Yup! Cheap Too!
I will follow up with a better review tonight.
What I do not understand about using the transparent plastic snap, is why the hack would one need a case at all when all the really "pocket sensitive" components (Touch screen, Camera lens) are not covered at all... IMO if one is indiferent to this, they may not need a case at all.
I guess that all cases are kind of trade offs. Whatever protects adds bulk in the zones protected, light protection protects less than heavy armor but presents snappier use and so on.
The potentially best solution I've seen yet is actually not offered for the Tilt/Kaiser. It is made by EB Cases and called the eNovo. It is made of sturdy yet thin laminated leather, offering a form fitting case with an optional leather flip.
http://www.ebcases.com/-strse-3333/eNOVO-PAQ-6500/Detail.bok
I'm trying for some time to convince EB, Noreve and BoxWave (the ones apparently having the technology) to think about it...
Cheers,

Careful!!!!!
Guys, be careful with those flip leather bags!
I'm having really bad experience with this one. It has a sheet of protective foil (0.5 mm thick) over the keyboard, so when the screen is closed, this foil is pushing the screen away from the keyboard.
One week of using this crap bag and now I can actually pull the screen away from the keyboard 1mm or so (left side in closed position). And when I shake the closed phone holding the keyboard, i can see and hear the screen flapping.
Apparently the hinges are not stable enough to resist any objects between them. I don't see a way of tightening them up myself. (Although I'm pretty do-it-myself guy, don't feel like taking this thing apart without instructions).
So I'm just getting myself an aluminium case, at least it won't get worse, 'cause the screen and keyboard are allways fixed against each other.
And I strongly recommend you consider whether you want to ruin an expensive unit with a cheap bag.
I add this one. It's a high quality leather case.
A little bit expansive but i'm so glad to have it, it's really good.
I really want this case, but does anyone know of a side case that exposes the miniusb, so I can plug in my headphones

Agreed, I personaly refused to use that type of case after seeing another touch pro flapping after it got taken out its case. Mines thankfully has never been in such case and is still like new. Avoid may well be the best advise. However it does limit what you can pick though. I use the HTC sleve, and then put that in my mini s belt case. A bit bulky, but until a good solution comes about, it'll have to do.
I too use the sleeve that comes with it but my problem is when I keep it in my pocket , sometimes when I receive a call , it answers on its own , very irritating

I have the case and I love it. I'm thinking of using the code for the new metal clip.
looks nice. but kinda pricey for a lether case =T
Yea, it looks really nice.
I wonder how stable it is in the case once it slides open.
The leather case looks sweet....but does it work ok with the slider?
Anyone use it?
I use it and love it. The phone is totally secure inside even when using the slider.
The case holds the phone quite snug even in the open position.
The new belt clip is so much better than the one they used just a year ago.
The warranty on the case is lifetime, my kaiser case wore through around the GPS ant opening and they replaced it no questions asked.
It's worth the expense, paired with InvisibleSHEILD on the face only (had to buy the full body and only use the face pieces as the case is too snug for the full skin)
I just received this horizontal case from boxwave http://www.boxwave.com/products/dlcase/at_t-fuze-designio-leather-case_3350.htm
I didn't realize that it did not come with a belt clip, also the fact that the keyboard is covered by the plastic worries me, (Keyboard paint will stick to the plastic overtime?)
So just to reiterate what Kyphur said, this Norve case does come with a belt clip?
Yes it does.
I got the Proporta case first and it had the plastic over the keyboard, I didn't like that at all.
Order Submitted, Thanks.

The Noreve case is too snug for any full body protector. You will only be able to use the front face.

I have been using a T-mobile Wing case I found for $5 at the tmo store on clearance. Good fit but it snaps on the front and it makes me nervous every time i push on them and they push against the glass. Still looking for a better case.

Don't get that one. I ordered the exact one weeks before I got TMOUS hd2, and it doesn't fit.
I mean, it fits, but not perfectly. Plus, the material was too rubbery.
I don't even know if that's the word, but it's very shiny and doesn't feel that great in my hands.
It gives killer grip on any surface, though.
But once again, that cover does not fit your device perfectly.
I threw it away. such a waste...
I'm using the default gel skin it came with.
It's very nice, surprisingly. it's not the normal silicone cover that attracts every sort of dust in your pocket.
yeah i ordered two cases off ebay and one came in guess what they don't fit lol..awaiting more cases
I ordered and received that case already, but I wanted one that fits my phone...it does not fit completely but it will do , it is very nice in my opinion, shiny and slick , I do not like the stock one too much as it causes my fingers to feel dry and sticks in my pockets so it doesn't slide out easily enough...
any advice...anything like a 'barely there' case for our phone ?...
please post any ideas/ advice/ experiences/ anything..

I don't have an HD2, yet, but...
I've used a horizontal belt holster with a magnetic clasp for my TP2 since I got it in September. It's in the holster everyday, and I have yet to see a Newton Ring develop on my screen.
When I get an HD2, I'll be calling my local T-Mo store every week to inquire about future cases (like the one erebusting purchased) for the HD2 -- I'm afraid a 3ft drop would cause the thin phone to break in half! I also want a thin, hard case so I can still put the phone in a horizontal belt holster (I hate putting my phones in my pants pockets).
One of the main reasons I picked the defy was it's ruggedness, because I do potentially dangerous sports, but obviously there are limits to that ruggedness, and if you take a fall or something likely to break the phone, it may well have broken you - and a working phone comes in kind of handy at that point
So... with that in mind, can anyone recommend any decent hard cases? I thinking more along the lines of a hard pouch you slip it into, but may consider flip open ones or something that allows easy access to the touchscreen if it is tough enough.
Waterproofing not really an issue since the defy should be able to handle any streams or such I may fall into anyway.

Otterbox Commuter Case
Agreed on the Commuter Series. I expect although that it is going to make the phone much phatter than that it already is.
I work as an audio engineer at some places (school, local bars), which means I carry lots and lots of big flightcases. And I've to be kept in the loop. My last phone, an LG KS-20 died this way. As I was carrying a big flightcase, a corner tapped the LCD through my jeans, destroying it. So many appointments and numbers lost!
Note: I haven't got my Defy yet, I'm working things out on getting it.
i'm selling mine. dont like my phone being so bulky because i always put it in my pants pocket.
if you're interested, pm me.
I was using one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Amzer-Silic...2OI6/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1303117510&sr=8-8 but it added too much bulk and it wasn't a particularly good fit even if it did offer decent protection.
I now use one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/iTALKonline...5F3S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1303117510&sr=8-1 and it is a good tight fit and it doesn't bulk the phone up very much at all, my defy certainly feels better in my hand now being a bit heavier and a bit grippier, with this case i can slip it in and out of my jeans pocket without it getting stuck as well.
yea i use otterbox. i don't mind the bulky feel

Kinda thinking about the Ottebox one, but ah, if it's so bulky.
Only problem about China is that it takes a while to arrive. Will post about it when they arrive.

I want to use a special case, but i'm wandering if it has some problems with cooling this way. If i play Dungeon Defenders for example, the phone gets pretty hot, and with a case i'm afraid it will get even hotter, because i'm not sure how the heat will be transfered.
I got a tpu case from ebay and some silicon ones.
The tpu is great but the silicon were really hard to get in and out of the pocket.
I recommend the tpu with a red thing on the back, which you can rip out and it slides well and also fits very well on tue device.

I got a tpu case from ebay and some silicon ones.
The tpu is great but the silicon were really hard to get in and out of the pocket.
I recommend the tpu with a red thing on the back, which you can rip out and it slides well and also fits very well on tue device.
Cheers,
Andrew

got the otterbox as well
it's nice to have cause i dont think the defy will resist falling onto the street, when biking...^^ the case will give it more toughness =))
I've had the Ottterbox case for months now. Everytime I take the case off for some reason it drives me nuts now because the phone just feels too small. I work in a precast concrete plant and end up getting pretty dirty by the end of the day. Thankfully this phone stays a lot cleaner now then other phones I had that I didn't have the Otterbox case.
