skin's not working
Hi, guys!
i've got a problem...TCPMP v0.72 RC2 works but the skin doesn't!
I don't see buttons at all...some of them shows after i click on them but it is useless.
could you help me please?what version of TCPMP are you using?
thx a lot
apply the skin
using the menu within TCPMP apply the skin and see.
i away from my phone and home comp... so cannot check exactly... but from memory all i can suggest is to apply the skin and check.
Still can't play any newer files, got the "missing MP42 codec" message, couldnt find the plugin for TCPMP, yet the only fully working player for me remains Core Player .. goody gumdrops
Coreplayer is better, but it's not free. Also it doesn't support AC-3 and subtitles, so the best is using both of them.

looks like portrait/landscape got mixed up - try attached 'modified skin.xml' rather than original.
HTH
Hello,
I've got the same problem: TCPMP works, but the skin doesn't.
Does anybody have a working one? (I like the look of the WMP12-look-alike-skin and would like to use it for my HD Mini).
@mrkuki: Where can I find this 'modified skin.xml'?

A Working TCPMP Finger Friendly Skin for HTC HD Mini
Made some minor adjustments in templates and skin.xml for HVGA Resolution based on the TCPMP Finger Friendly from this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...63&postcount=1
WM12 is good, but sadly the buttons a bit too small for my liking. Hope people who have an HTC HD Mini can now enjoy this good player with the friendly finger version.
Refined TCPMP Player Skin
Attached is the refined skin with minor editing from the skin posted by englaender2000, thanks for your ref files so that i can re-arange the skin to avoid overlapping of the screen and the video title while playing...Enjoy the refined skin for your mini.
Updated with buttons OPEN FILE + PLAYLIST, enjoy!

Does anyone have a working Audio Manager for X1:s WVGA screen (480x800)?
I've got HTC Audio Manager (v2.0 build 1819.2129) running on my X1 (after renaming AudioManager.exe.0409.mui to AudioManager.exe.041D.mui since OS is in Swedish), but all graphics and fonts are QVGA up in the left corner. I guess that it would work to update the mm_skin.xml (and mmr_skin.xml) and double the size of all pics, but that seems like a lot of work. And maybe someone's already done that?
Probably a WVGA version will come with Touch HD, but I want it now!
Thanks,
kjw
Yes, it would be great to have the HTC Audio Manager working on the X1.
I downloaded five different versions from the web yesterday; none worked. Searching for hours to no avail.
Help or a working cab would be highly appreciated.
Thanks!
GZ
Why don't you try the search function. It can really do wonders.
There is a Touch-IT_Blackstone_Audiomanager.cab in one of itje's posts if I recall correctly.
the actual audio manager program does not work using the Touch-IT_Blackstone_Audiomanager.cab. The audiobooster does, but not the audio manager. I've searched, but have yet to find a working solution to get the audio manager working. Any ideas or help?
Thanks
you can find it here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=442154&highlight=Blackstone+Audiomanager 2nd post...
*edit* oh I just saw your above post... so this doesnt work then??
Unfortunately, that appears to be the case. That's too bad because the audio manager is a really need program very similar to how the ipod works.
install one of itje's roms, its working 100% on his roms
Why bother with audio manager if you're not using tf3d? Audiomanager from the HD is incorporated into tf3d.
use any of the other freeware ones.
If you want Ipod alike then use s2p, it's on here in Dev&hacking, A_C the author even posted up in this section with a better version for the x1 to take advantage of the extra power the x1 has..
Amazing piece of software.
the audio manager program is actually really nice by itself as it has a nice interface very similar to an ipod (being able to browse easily by artist, album, playist, etc). A lot of folks like myself do not want to have tf3d or have to install a custom rom in order to have this program. The only other program that has a nice browser would be pocket player in my opinion. So are you telling me that the audio manager on touch hd is completely different from the other htc devices and the only way to use it is with tf3d?
yes that's exactly what I'm saying.
and i'll repeat again, why don't you try S2P ?
It's much better than audiomanager and looks like the Ipod/iphone player.

S2P is really nice but doesn't do well with WMA. Great app from A_C though . . .. . .
Where can I get the Touch-HD radio CAB? Haven't found one in touch-hd cabs topic. Also, Audio Manager and Album don't seem to work for me, even if I start them straight from the exe in /Windows. I take it Audio Manager is the mp3 player?
I installed the clean no-panels rom and I need some mp3 and radio application, so I wanted to check out the touch HD ones before installing the media and radio panels through pubba installer.
Thanks in advance for help.
This works for me

This the radio cab from the Touch Diamond/Pro. It works perfectly fine with the only exception it doesn't fill the very bottom part of the screen... which to be honest looks ok anyway.
Thanks - alredy tried that, but I thought the Touch HD radio cab was out there somewhere? Would be nice to make use of that remaining space on the screen.
I dumped files from htc blackstone rom, but i don't know how to make a cab frome them
I´m also searching for the HD radi .cab, would be very nice if somebody cn provide it

Wow, thanks a lot, works great. I had to rename the .mui for working on a german Rom
i also have german. what mui must i rename?
edit: ok i already found out. but there is a problem: the volume is much lower than the original radio panel!
Thanks a lot Jackleung - works great... just one stupid question - how do I increase or decrease the volume? ;d
where can I get an original german mui file?

Errm...I'm thinking that he's got the same problem as i'm having. It seems in comparison to the radio panel the volume produced by the cab is lower.
I'm guessing it may be a registry setting?

The cab seems to be gone from that post. Can someone point me to where it is? Thanks!
If you guys want a radio app, wouldn't you be better using Pubba's Panel Installer? IMO the X1 app is much better than the CAB kindly posted at the start of this thread.
Good point. I will try both. The touch HD app looks better, but you are right, the panel is probably more functional.
eh? the HD can store 20 stations while the original X1's can only store 6, how can the original be more functional then?
and the app has scrolling rds and can run in the background apparently
Hello,
at first, sorry for my english, I'm from Germany. I've searched a while for a VGA Skin to match the look of the Media Player with the rest of my Diamond, but couldn't find anything. So I created this evening one by my self.
It's not finaly finished, but nearly at the end. If someone is interessted in this work I can Upload it here tomorrow or at monday.
Here some Screens how it looks at the moment. If you have some ideas for Improvement...
Cheers, Fred
In the Black area is the Video normaly shown
So,
finally here it is, added today some nice rating icons and made a new Screenshot.
At the moment just portrait mode, but if I got time I add a Landscape version if some people ask for it.
If you have ideas for Improvement I'll try to implement them (if it is a good idea )
Have fun...
Here's also some news about it. Tank you for this news entry *g*

Haha, seriously man, this looks SWEET!
Looks amazing, this is what I've been waiting for!!! Please post it asap!!
WOW I didn't notice until now you've posted it already! Looks great, THANKS!!!
so this should work on 1.97 roms and 1.93 or?
Makes no difference which ROM you use, should work on every ROM with the WMP.
Could you make a black version of this skin?
Thanks nice work !
Very good job.
best regards
nice skin, thanks!
i believe i have seen it b4. didnt dutty got this theme on his ROMs?
No, this theme is completely made by myself! There's nothing copied.
All other Versions I've seen are just upscaled qvga versions.
great skin, but i would really like to have landscape too
s
but how to insrall it,where to copy these files?
just extract the folder into \program files\Windows Media Player
interesting,i have extract into that folder(so no in internal storage,i ectract this into device memore\program files\winows media player) but skin is same, and yes i have softreset?!?!
Media Player
After you have placed the Folder in Windows/Media Player look for Options/Skins then select and the device should automatically locate it and you can scroll right/left to choose.

ya this is in dutty's rom. apparently he liked it and added it in.
Hi everyone, here's my first contribution to this wonderful community
I don't know how many people were in my boat but in my search for a pretty WVGA skin last week I stumbled across this iPhone style one:
http://mylostblog.altervista.org/sk...inal-skins/wmp-skin-005-iphoneipod-touch-wide
However, the WVGA skin seemed to have simply being a badly resized QVGA one so I spent some time and remade all the graphics. Only changes I made were that the shuffle and repeat icons are now grayed out by default and become white when active. Also in landscape the play/pause, previous and next icons no longer sit in their own little box. Everything else is pretty much the same but high res.
For those that don't know, install the skin by placing the "iPhone" folder in your /Program Files/Windows Media Player folder and select the skin from the options. You will have to select the landscape one when in landscape mode.
Credits to MyLostBlog for the initial design.
Update:
MyLostBlog has pointed out that there is an official higher resolution version of this skin here:
http://mylostblog.altervista.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=82
I have uploaded the cab from here as well as the design.
This has an extra mute button and fullscreen button in landscape mode.
Thanks again to MyLostBlog for the beautiful design.
very nice skin! thanks for your work!
Although I'm not an iPhone fan this skin looks great and much more comfortable than the standard one. I will give it a try later on.
Nice skin. Thanks for sharing.

I agree, I'm not a fan of iPhones either but the default WMP skin is horrible. I can't really change to another player though because I use voice commands to play my music

Haha what? I know that, I am the OP. I'm saying that I agree with WMP being rather old and lacking some useful features, however, I can't use voice commands with other players such as CorePlayer or S2P and hence I'm more or less stuck with WMP - hence the skin.

Sorry bout that... I misread your post >blush<
How do I get the Landscape Skin to show up in the Options window?
Turn the phone on landscape (make sure you have a screen rotating app installed such as FlipIt).
Once in landscape navigate the options and it will display landscape skins.
Ah, I see. Gotta use a screen rotater and get in landscape first, huh? Gotcha. Thanks.
Is anyone having problems of this not working? The skin only applies for a few minutes then once I make sure it's in use in options it just reverts to the original skin. Also my WMP folder is empty .
no registration just choose your resolution and no caps just copy paste contets to windows media player folder http://mobilityupdate.com/iphone-skin-for-windows-mobile-qvga-vga-wvga-wqvga-supported/
This skin has saved my WMP experience... Thanks!
Any chance of someone porting a true "Touch Player" setup to WMP11? I truly miss the swipe from TF, but it just kills the memory to run it all...
Now i do not know if you can use these while using touchflo.
I dont use touchflo obviously
But works on my Touch Pro
If you find you CAN use these with TouchFlo, let me know.
is there a skin or a standalone verison that will display the album art like on M2D for us VGA users who don't like using TouchFlo?
hey bud, let me explain something i have looked high and low for the exact same thing.
and i as of yet found nothing.
now nitrogen does.. but im a huge fan of the AM.
and for AM no luck
thanks for the reply, hopefully there'll be one soon
Thanks

Hi there, what version of audio manager are your very nice skins for? I am looking for VGA skins for 2.2. And you have a nice looking site there too!
It makes no sense not to have a diamond!
