Hello.
After several attempts to run linux on my touch dual , without any succes i let it go , but i noticed a problem with my SD card. Sometimes widows says it's missing , other times it's working very slow. What can it be , i noticed same behaviour with other cards. I also installed another ROM (latest stock) and still the same problem.
Did anybody else had this problem? Is there any way to fix it?
For example now i just formatted the card as Fat32 , all good. I use the camera , take 2 pics and suddenly the album doesn't work , when i enter file explorer i get loading symbol . it is really annoying !!!
LE: i tested the card in a nokia phone and everything is ok , so it seems to be a problem with the HTC phone itself. what can it be ? it is really annoying using the card , as everything is slow , trying to access it ~X(

i'm using Mary 3.3.5 SL with almost nothing software as espect !!! (just wow)
But recently, i found out, my software which i install on miniSD card has lost suddently...with no reason.
I 've tried to format or ever hard reset...(with same Mary3.3.5SL)
but it still remain problem. Normally, the evening yesterday,i plug to charge as usual,and then today morning...I found nothing on my card mini SD, ...instead of some file such as mail...iecache...cache....or something really @sshole....
I wonder it cause of some bug or else ??? Anyone catch the bug like me ???
It's not one time....it happen 3 time recently after i install and reinstall again again...i fell really bad about what happen.
p/s : not only my program, but also my picture which i shoot from camera, and video i store on miniSD...???
It's problem of miniSD or bug of Mary3.3.5???
Please answer me quickly...i luv Mary3.x.x SL....cause it nearly empty but empty by this way is very bad.......

if you look around ?the problem is not from Mary 3.3.5 SL ?? its from the minisd card....many of them is not stable especially those which is not original
if you have card reader try to fromat it by fat32 ? or change the card to another kind like kingstone or toshiba ?i think those good ones
no this is not just a card problem itself, it's a htc problem. search "sd card corruption". it's widely reported.
uhm, i ask some of my friends, and there is a problem too with kingston SD card too... but with another OS ,i mean another wm5.....i bought my trinity and miniSD card at Fnac (cause i'm had lived in france for a long time).
Then now...i think this card is origine or original as you say...
Any experience ???

It seem not in this case,cause if "sd card corruption" happen, it's always show the message " SD card corrupted" and also can't open card, except re-format it.
In my case, i got 2 or 3 folder after "corrupt". I mean yesterday evening, i install 4 or 5 game, play as usual...i plug charge into my Trinity.
Ok,then,i sleep......until morning, i check i got nothing on miniSD card.
except 3 folder "cookies" + "History" + "Mail" .
If you got corrupt card, you can't see such 3 folder...
Remember that : yesterday,everything just fine, until this morning...
It happen 3 or 4 times...Someone know it's become from what ???
my card got status on properties "RAW" instead of FAT or FAT32...

just try to change your card ?? and see if this problem is still exist ....i have same problem before.....
try doing this:
once u find that your storage card data disappears, use the file explorer from Trinity.
open and see... you'll find that u have 'storage card' AND 'storage card2'
delete 'storage card' which contains a folder called mail
after deleting 'storage card', soft reset... you should get back everything.

i m from france and i had a probleme with my htc niki 16 keys
my card worked without probleme. I dont kwon why but one day my card wasn't detected anymore by the phone. In memoty setting it was wirtten : "not installed". i try everything : format sd in FAT/FAT32 many time with different programme, i made soft an hard reset too. Exausted i send the phone to my seller (it is still guarenty). A week later the phone worked perfectly, they reinstall the ROM they said...
But now the same bug reappear and a dont know what to do !! Does anyone here think that flashing my rom can resolve my probleme !! does anyone did have the same probleme ?? i search in many forums but i havr the feeling that i m the only one with a such probleme ?

Hey guys .. i had this awful problem on my b7610. My storage card got wiped out .. dunno y .. just out of the blues .. everything got deleted ..all i could see was few unreadable large files that were abt 700 mb & 120mb... with some weird names ( actually symbols)
This has happened to me once .. but this sucker deleted all 16 gb of storage

i have had storage card issues with an omnia and an omnia i920. what i did was take the storage card to a card reader and when it wasnt readable by the phone - it was readable by the card reader and pc. i have no idea why. so i transferred all info to computer - formatted storage card and put info back. this has happened to me more than once. in all cases the storage card was fine after the reformat. i have no idea if this will work for you but its worth a try.

On page 19 of the USER Manual it says that formatting the memory card on a PC may cause incompatibility with your device. It says to format the memory card only on the device.

i have no idea why it happens. it happened often on omnia and i have had it twice on omnia 2. bought new 16gig card - class 6 - happened once - reformatted, etc and its been fine for four months. hi tech life is challenging.
I got this problem too! feel so tired working with it.
finally, i use a recovery tool to bring something back to the phone. Then install what i want to again and only hope that they will not disappear again.

i use to have android working fine for me then i dont now exactly what happend
when i run haert my device freez in 3 secound and some wite line appeer on the screen maybe cuz i change the rom but i tried lots of deffrent rom same problem any one can give me advice ?
Task29, reflash WM, formart SD at FAT32 and install the Android.

Don't do a quick format. If you're using Windows untick the "Quick Format" option. If that doesn't do the trick, try downloading a different Android ROM. If that doesn't work either then I think you're looking a new sd card.
i did slow format nothin chang today will try 2 change the sd card

i ve bought sm-t231 recently
but there re problems with the ext sd card
first the device said it was broken untill i d to format it to fat32
it worked but it hanges alot
eg when i play mp3 file it works for awhile then stops
is it a problem with the device or the sd card

Don't be so demanding. The only way to know which is bad, is to test the tablet with another card and test that card with another device.
