Swift key has been suggesting funny stuff to me too. I was placing an office supply order today and typed box of and got chocolates when I wanted pens, and then bottle of got me vodka, which probably would have been more helpful than the white out I was looking for.
Nothing as crazy as your example though.

The phone bases its suggestions on letters that are close to the word typed. Look at that anal is pretty much the same keys just off by one letter for A and L. Not be an as$ just informing you. The system is actually pretty smart working like this.

[Q] Xperia X10i on 2.2 and hd games

hi all,
just a noob here on android.. i was on iphone b4.. but still have new ipod touch Which is the best then android crappy apps!..
anyhow i wanted to know is there a way we can get 2.2 on x10i so we can have multi touch on the dam phone! b/c SE will take another 1 year to release this...
anyhow which hd games u ppl use for your xperia?
Also did ya ppl note that any games that made for iOS and then made for android this quality sucks as hell like game "UNO" its quality is horrible. compare to Iphone version. android need to get more DEVs to make hi quality games!
all i have seen so far are crap quality.. in which i think android was a bad choice for me! b/c app market's apps are low in quality except few apps i currently have.

It doesn't matter, since this thread will be locked soon. No one cares about your iPod or iPhone on here. If you want games, get a game console, not a cell phone.
Also, Android 2.2 isn't going to magically make multitouch appear if the hardware doesn't support it.

Although I'm definitely not a fan of Apple and i-anything, seeing my friends' iphones and their neat apps and games, then buying my first android phone, I was really let down.
Android definitely owns in many areas, but there are just more developers who are willing to spend their time on iphones. If only google got their os out before apple...

Ya, but playing games on a phone is not really all that fun, and there aren't many good android games anyway. Whenever I want to play games I will always go to my iPad instead.

I tried to load that link but my phone BUZZED once, then twice and crashed. Now my native Youtube app won't play any content and TW launcher hesitates to perform it's function.

there is no way I would ever support Samsung if they cant even get 2.2 working properly after 6 effing months of promising it - and no 2.3!
this are incompetent at best and are total amateurs - look at what these developers have done here for free! - Samsung sucks the only good thing about this phone is the screen and the slide out keyboard, but even that sucks some times as it doesent register every key press even though I here the click - so I guess its only the screen thats good

How do you grip your PLAY...

Ok, so this is going to be different for everyone but I am having problems with the DPAD placement on my play.
I tend to hold a controller so that the straight of my thumb controls the dpad rather than the 'tip'.
Never had problems before, but the PLAY'S upper plastic (the bit with the screen) prevents me from doing this. There isn't enough room for me to control the dpad. To be more specific, the 'up' is the main problem. I have to tap it with the tip of my thumb instead of simply sliding over it.
Kind of frustrating since I'v been playing games this way for like 20 years.

I think its fine where it is, Kinda wish the analogue touch pads were more like the PSP

D-pads are meant to be used with the tip of your thumb, which is why the d-pad placement is perfectly fine for most people.

I know, that's what I am saying. I have to use the tip on the PLAY because the distance between the 'up' on the dpad and the top screen is so small. I can't comfortably slide like you are meant to on a dpad.

I usually control d-pads using my chin, can't seem to do it on the Play better start a thread about it <_<
You are trying to play it in a way that was not intended, deal with it or sell the Play. Simple.Solution.

^So...You telling me there is going to be a hack or mod to move the D-Pad? When that happens, and Unicorns make an appearance, let me know.
Think about it: OP is complaining that he can't use the D=Pad correct, then flat out states that he isn't using it correctly. What the F? Then thinks thats reason to start a thread?
Thats like me going to Dell's web site and complaining that I hit too many keys when typing with my head. I KNOW its intended to be used with my finger tips but I want to use my head for all typing...It makes as much sense as this topic.

A lot of peeps use the dpad with the straight of the thumb myself included but luckily don't have an issue.

honestly though i have no issues with the d-pad, it works very well.

There have been d-pad extensions. I have seen them on the original NES controller. They even made them for the ipad/iphone. I think he just wanted to know if anyone else has had trouble using it.

Nah they screwed up the sound completely with 136 so that's been done already. I'm thinking the screen will be unreadable in one way or another, forced low light, no contrast at all, that sort of thing.

I'm pissed off with the messed up bluetooth and wifi, i hope they fix this soon in the update. I cant talk calls properly over bluetooth, my SONY smartwatch2 is losing connection and my wifi keeps getting association rejected
