I don't believe there will be a windows version. The application is for linux and it is meant to be used to exploit linux based systems.

Finally found the perfect 2. 1 rom

This Rom is just about perfect. It's just Villain 5. 2 cdma port without HTC stuff, it is really fast and launcher2 is the least buggy one I have ever used. I highly recommend this ROM

Well you didn't have to make a new thread but glad your liking the rom
5.2 is by far the best yet in my opinion too.
sorry mostly just testing the new xda app ;-)

Does MoreLocale2 not take care of that for you? (try it)

I don't think so, there is a problem with the VillainROM 5 series, that makes MoreLocale 2 unable to translate all of the system
it was good, but I can't get mms to work and I need it, as the wife sends pictures of our son to me, whilst I'm at work

Hero ROM's for Samsung Moment??

If my buddy has a Samsung moment can, he root it and load 2.1 but can he use the same ROMS, I use for my HERO??
NO.. they will not work.
Try here

moment development seams to be a little slow because of Samsungs stupid file system. someone would need to port the Rom. more difficult than it sounds with kernels being different and a totally different file system.

Also the hardware is completely different. The phone wouldnt even begin to boot up if you flash a hero rom.
Lookslike I'm glad I bought a Hero instead. The moment isn't even featured on XDA is it?

[Q] Dualboot: Windows Mobile & Android On Xperia X8

Sorry my ignorance, but is that possible to install both of the OS on a Xperia x8?
If it so, I would like to know how..
Thanks
(Sorry if my english isn't right, I'm portuguese.. xP)
At the moment impossible (I guess bootloader has to be cracked for that)
and the requirements for WP7 are higher. (For example at least 5MP camera...)

Anyway, it was just a question, don't blame me if I want to know something more about my phone.. xD

No, it is impossible to do on an android-based phone. You could try running ubuntu though, I'm sure there's a thread for that somewhere, not for the x8 specifically but you can attempt to do it on your phone, won't brick it or anything..

Pointless how? It'd be fun to try getting it working.
Froyo would be more fun
Only advantage from installing windows for me would be Automapa. Its a very good polish gps navigation software. Other than that I don't like windows mobile.

Now with unlockable bootloader, is it possible to run windows mobile on X8? or any other Windows? I know android is faster and better, but i wanna run some windows apps
I want to run Windows Mobile 6.5 on my xperia too...

I read somewhere that wm is closed source and it hasn't been ported to any android phone unlike android which is possible to port it to a lot of other devices...
Even if it was possible to port it noone would like because it's old and not really useful like android!
Im pretty sure its possible. I mean I've seen a pc version of win95 work on the xperia x8 lol

wow!!!!!!!!!Really works?
Wtf guys????
I had a winmo with same, if not better specs with x8, and it sucks big time!!!!
and it was htc.
On that phone, they were porting android.. With ****ty battery life, millions of bugs.. But i was trying them..
And it was reasonable.. A winmo device tries android..
BUT IT IS INSANE, AN ANDROID DEVICE TO WANT WINMO!!!!!
Do you guys ask your x8, if it wants that?????
I was coming from a winMo, so i know, and i will stay the hell away, from those devices.
Even the reason, for the new and better version of windows phone(not windows mobile winMo any more?!!), IS ANDROID!!!!!
Thanks the god, i didnt suicided from that phone... ))

Might be Windows 8 will support it.
Sammy prepared phone win Win 8.
If exist driver for Exinos platform in Win8 - it is POSSIBLE to write loader to load windows, why not?
See HTC HD2 as example - it can run as Android so Windows Phone as well

You sad it about Omnia, i am speaking about HTC HD2 - can not see connection
I am saying, HTC HD2 was build as Windows Mobile.
One great person (from Russia BTW) - hack boot loader, made OWN loader - MagLDR - that can load Android or Windows Phone 7.
So it is POSSIBLE to somehow run WP on phones, not designed for it.
Though writing such a complicate code, and in such a dangerous place as bootloader (may kill phone forever) very, VERY hard task

Well ATIV line of product is pretty much the WP8 cousin of Galaxy line. If you look closely, Galaxy ATIV is S3 hardware with WP8 installed and some minor changes.
Why? Just look at the upcoming windows phone 8 devices.

Everything is possible with proper sources (bootloader and drivers). Without them not possible.
Why would you want to offend your SGS3 by putting Windows Phone on it? Why not try putting iOS there while you're at it?!

That's just silly.
But for those saying that WP8 can be run on the SGS3, I'm afraid you're mistaken. The i9300 uses a Samsung Exynos Quadcore while the ATIV S will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon Dual-Care. There will most likely never be a Windows Phone 8 device with the same SoC found in the international SGS3.
The US versions could have more luck as they indeed do have the same CPU as the ATIV S and thus that a much better chance of getting drivers that work for them also.
