i'm sory because my english is bad.
i'm using android on LG Optimus GT540 under Android 1.6 (Donut).
In existing OS cannot install APK to SDCard.
but today, i seen LG Web site and LG give source code for LG Optmis GT540 ROM for custom ROM.But i'm not programmer.
Please any body can help me for custom MOD LG GT540 ?

yes we need custom roms for our gt540...
is it possible to open a device specific forum? there are so many people in here using gt540...
well, im a programmer, but not an android programmer, at lease for now
i bought 2 days ago my first android phone, lg gt540.. im loving this, i was a fan of windows mobile, and i still am (waiting for wp7). But now im loving this OS, so im going to invest some time into this OS and start learning about this, so i can program on this.. maybe someone who knows about this could point me some directions.. but for now im only using the developer site from android for directions.. i hope some experts could come here to point some directions
im waiting for 2.1 rom update so as you all are, but for now i will try to understand the basis of 1.6 source code and structure..
and please, make the LG GT540 a new phone for this website in the main page.. to all who have the LG GT540 PLEASE VOTE in the poll for this phone to be added.

Hello xda community I bought the HTC hd7 the day it came out and I've always been a HTC fan boy. So I decided I want a hd2 to run Android and just Android. I had a Samsung galaxy S captivate and want to know if it'll run stable like it was on that phone. Is it possible to run a rooted Android 2.2 w/ htc sense rom without wm on my phone? And as of right now...no you can't get rid of windows mobile yet, but you can dual boot running android from the SD card...explained in the above linked post(s)
hi i have a htc hd2 tmobile US phone
its installed with 2.3.5 android
it bricked once before when i try to customize it finally a friend fixed it by installing the 2.3.5 version android but it has a very poor or no wifi grabbing capability so now if i wanna install a android os to it which is the best one and please post me with the link where i can find it {i am sooo new with android i dont even know wht the things like flashing means }
so please help me to upgrade my android so that i can solve the wifi prob with out bricking my phone so that i can also get to use some new apps

Read the guides in my sig. All of them, including the new user one, HD2 terms one and finally the flashing the phone. There is no 'best ROM' since it's completely subjective. You can't 'jailbreak', only root (which you don't need to do on the HD2 anyway).

This phone is pretty much dead. It's a blackbox, as far as I know nobody has been able to get around the boot loader to do some custom things. That's why there's no custom ROMs for LG E900 yet (and probably never will).
More LG E900
Too bad no one is interested in developing this phone.
In my opinion there are dual core phones running android that lose by having poor rom mem compared with these single core :victory:
Anyone willing to give some use to these black boxes?

I open this thread because I have in my hands the monstrous LG VU3, the last born of the house of Seoul ... since no one talks about it on xda then I start ....
I wanted to ask the big stage at XDA, if any cook will be able to create a PA rom for this magnificent device. if there is someone willing to support my idea and accept a new challenge, so be it ...:good:

ROMs are at lgviet.com Use chrome browser for automatic english translation. Rooting possible as long as your device is still Android 4.2.2. Sadly, I bought my vu3 already with 4.4.2 Kitkat pre installed so I'm not rooting yet
