I'm getting green lines streaks on the screen when I'm in Sky Map or Street View. It's only on the visual graphics (street graphics or star charts) and not on the menus or about screen. The dotted green lines are always horizontal, regardless of orientation, and the lines are evenly spaced about 5mm apart.
If it was a computer, I'd think the graphics card was overheating. However it doesn't seem like displaying those images wouldn't be that intensive..
I AM use a custom build. It seems to happen on ALL the custom builds I've tried. JF 1.51, haykuro Ion, cyanongen 3.6/3.9.
I don't remember this happening on the official build it came with when I bought it from ebay. I only used the official build for a few hours before using a custom build.
Anybody else get this problem?
Bump ^.
Nobody else has this problem? I might consider reloading the official build and checking again when I get a lot of free time. Currently it's not an issues since I don't use those feature. Can I do RMA with HTC if I bought the G1 used from ebay?

No problem here. HTC should take it considering the phone is less than a year old.
Since doing the ota I have had a couple problems. I noticed I'm missing android wallpaper from my wall paper area. Then after a while I can't hold a letter on the keyboard to do the buttons behind it. After restarting I get the keyboard issue fixed but nothing has resolved the issues. Am I the only one ?

The wallpaper issue has been discussed here and everywhere else. For some reason or another, the update removed the android wallpapers and just left the HTC wallpapers.
Idk if anyone has uploaded them though...
you can dl the walpapers here:

Hey guys just wanted to get everyone's feedback on the streak. After having it for a full week now it seems like the home screens are laggy now. Jumping from apps to apps can be slow too. Can I wxpect 2.1 or the updated 2.2 to be this laggy again?
Is the flashed 2.2 laggy at all? I dont want to flash a rom yet since rumor it might come by the 15th. I hope and pray.. I dont have too many apps but this lag is killing me softly. Had iphone 4 before and obviously that will always be a smooth UI then had my captivate with flashed rom on 2.2 and that was pretty responsive...
Anything else I can do on 1.6 to help?

I run an app called system panel.. And I run it when my 1.6 gets laggy. You can controle the working processes with it and stop the ones who take up to much memory or processing power.

My friend had the same strange issue and I believe it was caused by some app he downloaded. All we did to fix this was just reflash to 1.1.1 (now it would be also wise to flash to widely known Dj Steve's 1.2) It's easy and your Streak will work WAY faster.
personally, the 1.6 is a smidgeon laggy, but the 2.x versions are not.
i'd just be patient for 3-4 weeks and wait till the official 2.2 comes out.
Flashing to a XDA-ROM is tricky and troublesome and usually recommended to hardcore gizmo fiddlers.
I can't speak for everybody, but for all those I know owning a Dell Streak have the same problem as you do. We all hope the official Froyo will fix the problem, but it kind of late. I am about 6 months away from my upgrade date. This will be my last Dell. Hope some other will make phone with this size of screen.
When mine gets that way I power it off and back on. This is because I don't know where to find a "reset" app like I had with my Windoze mobile phone. Does one exist for Android 1.6?
I currently use an app called "Fast Reboot" off the market, and it literally just shuts most of the running processes down and boots everything up again. It takes a couple of seconds but it's a hell of a lot quicker than actually rebooting the phone, only for it to take 5-10 mins to start up again. I've not had any major problems using this app but it does have an affect on some widgets like the Battery Smart (android) widget which freezes and no longer shows you how much battery you've got left, but removing and adding it again works fine. Though every so often, I still like to do a proper reboot just in case.
Finally updating my tablet to 3.2!!
I'm going to update my findings once I install and reboot.
Keep all findings in Here!
Netflix?
I was under the impression that there would be a native netflix app installed with this firmware? Am I missing something? Don't see it installed, nor does it show up in the market.
Just got mine in CA. Didn't notice any speed improvements, mine was pretty snappy to begin with. Did notice a few minor changes in settings and that was about it.
Better scrolling in browser.
dang it, no netflix even with the version i nabbed on market plae after the 3.1 update. Battery usage works now ... going to try hbo go.
Still no update in Texas, though I hear it may be based on serial numbers.
Mine seems a lot snappier, especially on the home screen, B60
I'm officially disappointed with Android 3.2 update. It does not bring anything important to the transformer... I'm more disappointed with Android 3.2 than Android 3.1 update. I just hope this will fix the random reboot issue...

Let me know how that goes. Just bought this thing a few days ago. Dissapointed that my phone has all of these apps (netflix, hbo etc..) but my super cool new tablet doesn't yet
Yes is updating for me me too

No update yet for me. B40K in VA.
Edit: Spoke too soon, just got it.
GMAIL WIDGET HAS RETURNED!
Forgive the shouting. All caps was necessary to show my excitement.
Does the android market have a movie tab now?

Someone get the URL to the firmware. so we can just download it!
Downloading firmware now. I'm SoCal.
omg...the stupid circle for a mouse is killing me...who thought that was all cool?...and now my keyboard is all laggy...is there a way for us to get the old mouse pointer?
Nope, the update didn't fix the most glaring issue.
It's still not an iPad.
Update applied. Now we just need to get it rooted lol.
Beamed from my Transformer.
I got the update but half way through the install it goes the the android and the triangle with the ! In it, I'm assuming its cause I'm rooted?

tried the app zoom rendering. Loaded up mrs pacman bc I knew it didn't render properly. Now you get a notification that it will zoom but still doesn't work. There is even a toggle in the status bar to toggle between zoom and stretch. Neither worked on the game.
Also getting an error that swype is not correct for the screen size everyone I pull it up.
I believe it's been around for about a week now, and I already see posts about a new wi-fi issue and the stock browser freezing. I'm well aware of the issues that were caused by the 3.1 update since ive had this tablet since 3.0, so I figured i'd come here to see what to expect if I take the plunge.
i'd love to know anything yall can tell me, but did they at least fix the old wifi glitch? and what's the story on the new one?
anyone? bueller?
After I updated a couple weird things.
I play Live holdem poker on it and the poker game keeps refreshing.
When it does it makes me fold the hand.
Had some great hands that got folded.
I also keep getting a "server timed out," or similar while on the net when it did not.
update; internet not timing out now.
The game is still folding my hands.
No problem with the game on my other tablet.
Otherwise everything is working good.
Been doing 3.2 for a while now, and no problems come to mind for me.

Sounds like you got the wifi drop out.
Not having any issues either.
Just waiting patiently for the root fix for stock 3.2

I guess that's why every so often I see service started or similar in the notification bar.
I do not notice any problem with it while on the net.
Just that one game keeps refreshing.
I have another poker game that does not do it at all.
I wouldn't mind it except that it has folded my hand at times when they were sure winners.
Videos occasionally stutter and jump frames, while audio remains fine. Happens a lot in YouTube.
Speaking of YouTube, it crashes a lot. Not force closes, but hangs for a bit and then goes back to the main YouTube screen.

rooted, HV 1.2
- less smooth than honeycomb 3.1
- battery drain (in my case only a couple of hours and the tablet is dead)
- exchange accounts issue if mails are bigger than 10 MB (my assumption)

You can blame that on a "cooked" ROM, I "believe" the OP was asking about stock 3.2, but I could be mistaken.
those issues were observed with cooked roms and with stock

If you already upgraded to 3.2 and lost your root, you can rollback to stock 3.0, then install one of the custom 3.2 ROMS in the developer’s thread that are rooted. They use a different boot loader and if you prefer stock, there are some ROMs that are very near stock. It might be a while before the devs crack the new boot loader.
I'm still seeing the stock music player not advancing to the next track if the screen is off... I know, there are other player options that don't have this issue, but it's still crap that the standard player is effectively useless and behaves differently than most music players on most phones/tablets.

Now that we have a way to install rooted 3.2 regardless of the bootloader there is little sense to continue trying to crack the new bootloader. The same happened with the Desire HD - once there was a way to downgrade, rooting was abandoned. I too prefer to have a way of rooting instead of downgrading, but it seems that downgrading is the easier path.
On topic: I have no issues whatsoever with the rooted near-stock 3.2 ROM. No wifi dropouts (not that I had any with 3.0 or 3.1) or anything like that.

I have had issues with 3.1 WIFI but it seems to be gone with 3.2
just loaded the 3.2 update and noticed that when I plug it in via USB to my laptop it sees both cads but it won't open the SD card. It registers the space used but won't display the content. Any thoughts?
Not rooted.
I got tired of waiting for the 3.2 update and decided to install a custom 3.2 ROM. Everything works great and I did have the short battery life issue mentioned in this thread..... I found it was all due to Wifi being set to always on. After I fixed that my battery life is excellent.
I get dropped hands in poker too but it's usually when I am in a weak wifi area of my house.
kjy2010 - use search.
klaus9000 - could you please tell me what do you have fixed regarding the wifi always on issue?
