FTP down (duh), i might be able to help

I run a file server on my computer for various things, i've got a bit of room on it if anyone needs/wants to use it. Just drop me a PM and i'll give details. I am on Cable modem so i have a dynamic IP, but I can probably figure out a way around that.
Anyway, just trying to help while we have no FTP here.

Free file hosting for all developers! No Speed Limits or Queues!

Hello,
I am the owner of a small web hosting company. I have been lurking here for a while, benefiting from all the great information that has come from the XDA-Dev community. I figure it is time for me to give something back. I know its not much but its a start until I can think of something more to offer.
I am willing to offer free file hosting for all developers on xda-developers.com. This is open to any developer who has actually worked on the rom/app/game/fix/patch/etc they are releasing. This is not for the people that release un-modified files simply because they like the rom/app/game/patch/fix/etc.
This would be permanent file hosting including http download and ftp access with your own unique username and password. I can also setup a file manager for those who would rather not bother with ftp. Your files will not be throttled, nor will users have to wait in queue to download. Your files will not expire or be deleted(unless required by law). The only restrictions are the ones I mentioned in the last paragraph and I would prefer the files only be linked from xda-developers.com. In other words if I see 100s of people connecting from someotherdomain.com I will impose a limit where files can only be accessed by links found on xda-developers.com.
If you are interested please PM or email me at [email protected]. Please keep in mind, I am running a business so please be patient while waiting for me to respond back.
Thank you.

Anyone managed to watch live stream (CBS, FOX etc) outside of US?

Hi all,
Just wondering if there's any vpn client/software that I can download off marketplace in order to watch live stream/recorded video directly off the browser on the SGS. They aren't opening as I live outside of US....any suggestions?
Kind regards.
bump.
No one knows or care???
VPN is built in already... Just need a US endpoint.
But most that rubbish you can get off Bittorrent anyway probably (not that there is much to watch on TV anyway these days)
I was also searching for a service which provides free streamlining, tried so many options and then one of my friend gave me back door access to see most popular US channels like hulu , netflix etc. etc.
Now when I changed my dns settings with the below open gateway of a vpn service, I can see unlimited channels so decided to share with all of my friends.
Try yourself, and change your dns address with the below settings to enable to watch US channels and refresh.
Primary DNS to 23.21.182.24
Secondry DNS to 184.169.139.227
Enjoy !! Do let me know if feels any trouble in launch.

New Dev server

I am signing up for a new dedicated server. I will have unmetered bandwidth, and was willing to offer part of the server to the devs here at XDA for uploads, etc...
Contact me here, or PM me, if you're interested.
This will be offered to devs at no charge.
If any other forum members are interested in web hosting, contact me.
the website is yagoolio.info, will be changing all around over the next week.
Ok... So I have uploaded the latest leaked deodexed 2.3.15 to the server. This is not the new server, but the link *should* stay the same. Anyway, in the mean time, here's a faster server to download from for now. Let me know if there's any other files that should be added.
http://rdp.yagoolio.info/downloads
Guess no one's interested at this time.
give it some time, im interested. Hate having all my stuff on mega upload. Would it be real easy file management?
Yes, may even be talking about having a remote desktop account, just rdp in, download files from wherever, and instantly they're available in your directory, much faster than uploading (sometimes) especially if they're already on megaupload somewhere.

Hi, is this running of your own web server connected to your PC or is this hosted with a hosting company? DynDNS.org is the reason I ask.
Odd question you may say. I also have a file hosting site, click my sig, it generates around 50GB+ of traffic per day. If this was running off my home server I'd hit my monthly data cap in just a day.
I wouldn't want you to incur any charges from your ISP.
Other than that, I applaud your generosity.

Hi,
I know what your saying, i own my own company, use a business isp, and its uncapped.. which is good... running all from my home. this is currently on a win 7 pc, but moving to a dedicated server which is also being built at home. Its a IBM/Custom stacked system. which will give pretty much 100% uptime and have a much better designed hosted website...
