Is it only me or do things take rather long to load? I just got my SNS an I'm noticing things are not to responsive at times I have to press back an reclick what I wanted then it loads fine, also I tried to get into Gmail an it said no network an I was on 3g with full bars, also with xda app I went to nexus s general forum an it just kept loading until I pressed back an clicked on it again...what's the deal here?
I'm coming from nexus one an hd2 running miui am things were buttery with both, I even got a force close already an I just used the phone for 2 hours

No its not. I've never experienced any of those problems out of the box.
Sounds like you've got a poorly behaving app running and slowing things down. Grab an app called OS Monitor or similar and see if you can see anything running up the CPU.
My NS is the snappiest, most responsive phone I've owned to date; it's even better than my Galaxy S i9000 on Froyo.

Hey I have a rooted mytouch 4g with virtuous fusion on it and the battery life is horrible...so i was sondering how can i get my battery passed 24 hrs...like others have been doing...i just need all the steps thanks!
Fauxs bfs lv kernel plus juice defender gets me close to 2 days of battery life on moderate use. Heavy use I have about 20% left at the end of the day

Seem to get the best performance vs battery with this setup.

ok my i flashed it but now my phone keeps getting stuck at the mytouch screen boot logo and repeating..did i do something wrong...this is the first kernel and i downloaded the low voltage kernel
You have to flash the first time kernel first. Should be right above the links. I did the same thing lol
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
oh ok...so as soon as i do the first time kernel then do the low voltage one or do i need to reboot my phone with the first time then go back into recovery and flash the low voltage
I usually tel it load, settle, reboot then reflash the .8 smooth as peach. Little pain when you flash a rom at least once a day. But worth it to me

thanks bro you really helped me out..i appreciate it...and so now im not gonna need a charger everyday lol
Good luck man.

So I finally gave up waiting on Motorola and switched my UK Wifi to the US rom. I unlocked, flashed the relevant images and did not relock; then got the OTAs for 3.1 and 3.2. Everything seemed fine but now I've noticed the battery is dropping significantly quicker now with the same usage. I've also checked the battery usage and noticed that there is no "Tablet Idle" entry, so does that mean its constantly staying awake? And does anyone know how to fix it?

my battery life improved with 3.2
I did exactly the same, install the stock US rom on my non-US xoom and update to 3.1 then 3.2, and I noticed the same battery life drop.
I noticed that my Xoom was staying awake pretty much the whole time the screen was off so tried uninstalling a few apps and sure enough that solved it. If you have the CNN app then try removing that for starters

Same here I've had it for almost 2 days, much better battery life and the CNN app'isnt causing drain for me.

I'm new to Xda but not to droid forums.
I just wanted to say wow! What a difference between the two. People are talking about stuff for the droid x and I'm totally lost. That's awesome!!
Can someone point me to where I can get a few questions answered about CM9?

You should be able to get your questions answered here:

Thanks. That's where I got all my info before I switched to CM9. After week of using it, I'm switching back to stock. The main reason is because the battery life sucks even with all syncing off and touch sounds and a few other things done to try to conserve battery.
My battery was at 40% when I left work yesterday with only light Facebook and web browsing.
Also some apps not working very good on it is another reason I'm switching back.

ICS roms haven't been perfected yet, but if your looking for a good user experience with decent battery life, you should try DefX MIUI.

yeah, wizard's MIUI has been the best for awhile now in terms of great battery life and full functionality. i've tried the ICS roms out there for the droidx but battery life was abysmal. i like having the latest android system but not if you have to trade great battery life for poor battery life.
I am running cm9 with a build date of April 24th (build number: IMM76D).
And i love it. It is super fast. the only complaint i have is that when long pressing home to get to the recent apps list it takes about 1-2 secs. Other than that its great. everything works except video (sometimes) and panoramic shots. the battery life isnt too bad. but i have had bad battery problems for a while.
battery consumption in jelly bean
What is the question?
For my dhd during my sleep, it used 2% within 3hrs. Wifi & sync on, others off. R29 is very fast and smooth. Thanks RB.

Running codefireX 1117 nightly, heavy usage, and I get around 7ish hours before the phone hits 0 %

Uses like 35% overnight, 7 hours. Airplane mode. But that is not the worst part. It uses much more when screen is on. It is like 1% per minute or so. I can have like 30-60 minutes of screen time... I wonder if it is a problem because there is no JB ROM for our device so some part is missing. Because I have same problem with my wife's Galaxy Ace. I wonder if JB Sense ROMs are any better in this respect, they are closer to stock than our pure google JB.
If you install a new ROM, in the first minutes battery live is very short.... after that it goes to a normal state.... it's possible to go to 48hours, if I use it as a phone  If I use it as a smartphone, battery is empty in 12 hours.... :victory:
battery problem
first THANK YOU randomblame for the awsom rom :good:
yes i confirm the battery consumption is very bad ...... i am sorry to say that I really love this rom but the main problem is the battery I hope in the next release the battery will be better
another problem i found is the dailer is taking to long to load some times i hope in the next release it will load faster the same of sense roms
