Could someone please use Astro file manager and go into their system/app/ directory and copy the FriendStream.apk and com.htc.FriendStreamWidget.apk and send them to my e-mail? ([email protected])
I am in the process of trying to port this program to the Droid Eris and The hardware seems to be the most similar, so I thought I would ask here. If anyone could do this for me, I would greatly appreciate it, as many of the Eris users have been trying to get this working on their phones with out flashing a custom rom.

I would love this for my g2 but the downloads for it in this thread won't work. I'm running 2.2 on a rooted phone using (VISIONary) to give me root access. Any help to get it to work will be greatly welcomed

are you running an htc sense rom, or is it an aosp build? the htc widgets and apks only work with sense roms.

I downloaded the apk to my stock rooted Rom to replace the one I accidentally deleted but when I try to install it, it tells me application was not installed. And ideas?

me too
Try to use root explorer copy the apk file into your /system/app
change the permission to rw-r-r
change the owner to root.root
Reboot the phone see if it work, else you may need to do a phone factory reset to take effect.
Not sure if your rom is deodex else you will need the FriendStream.odex and com.htc.FriendStreamWidget.odex which is tie to the rom version.

only "darkstone HD2Froyo V2.1 (18-August-2010)" have the Chinese interface but not Desire Sense. Please help me!!!

thanks qingcai, can already. I downloaded sougu pack and whenever i want to type in chinese, i just tap the words bar and click on input language, select the pack and hoola, i can type in chinese already.

As far as i know, Matte 1.5 Desire build has chinese input built in.
The other Nexus One builds have chinese INTERFACE built in, but not input. The one I use is Google Pinyin IME.

Are you sure? I think that at least the battery widget was working in Sense 1.x as i remember having it installed.
I can't test it right now cause i'm using an HD rom. Sorry

The file has not been deleted, just checked it.
Damn, i cant download the files. Is it possible for someone to upload it to Mediafire or any other file hosting sites?

I think they will work on all sense versions, but you can try and report back.
I'm currently using an HD rom so i can't test.

Just extract it using winrar, the copy the folder to your sd card and install the .apk's, with an explorer, in your phone.

Hm, the battery widget doesn't work on my HTC Desire for some odd reason :S
doesnt work on my N1 (using modacos desire port w/ sense) trying to install it gives me "Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_SHARED_USER_INCOMPATIBLE]" and when i try to update one of the ones included in the rom it gives me "Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_UPDATE_INCOMPATIBLE]" does it just not work on the nexus even though I have sense ui?

Since there is an older version of HTC Touch Input already installed on that rom, you'll probably have to remove it first before installing the new one.

no not rooted...too much hassle =( can't root like before w/ one touch / click so been too lazy....oh well guess I'll just switch between HTC Touch for Chinese and Swype Eng inputs

Here is the apk of the sense 6 keyboard from the HTC One M8: http://www.mediafire.com/download/wzj7v10iu58jw5i/htc.zip
Just download that and install it as a normal apk and should work.
If it does not work, get another keyboard app which supports themes and download a sense theme.
HTC released the keyboard from Sense onto the Google Playstore.

It says it is not compatible with our phones (or others). I think you need a HTC.

Sorry I just realised I gave you the wrong link. Google "sense 6 keyboard apk" and find the appropriate file.
