It's so amazing what you developers do with even getting paid! Thanks so much.
Next there will be a way to get incoming calls through landlines.

Obvious troll is obvious.

PS. In the rare case you aren't trolling, skype isn't the same as phone service. You should know this already if you spend any time on this site.
The deal was to use the phone on the cellular network rather than the internet.
Has anyone figured out a way to get Google+ video chat to work? I'm trying to join a hangout and use voice chat but it wants to install a plugin. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm still trying to get into Google plus....

Where is that update? does that means they are going to leave google talk to die?

Hopefully they will just integrate it in instead of leaving it to die. It's virtually the same back end system driving it, no reason to abandon gTalk.

Ok,we're losing track here.. lets get back to the hangout/plugin troubles.
What I dont get is... how is it that Google is the one who makes Android, yet Android doesnt have any plugin for google video/voice.
G+ is still not public. Its closed & invite only still. So maybe theye'r still doing development on it. ..But wouldnt you as the company who invented Android want video/voice in the system natively from the start? Strange that theye'r not thinking like that.
Hey can I get a invite please
[email protected]
To the people requesting invites there's a thread I made with a link to get your invite. Do a search in the general forum.
Back on topic:
I've been trying to figure that out. I'm kind of losing hope on this and I think they will release the capability in ICS.

Hangout video works for me on my wifi xoom.
I can't start a chat, but if I follow an invitation the video chat starts. I wonder why my Bluetooth headset isn't supporter, but this might depend on me...

Just tried it... seems to work pretty good. I don't have a cam on my laptop, so that box was empty, but the video from my xoom seemed rather low quality.
Is there a setting to adjust that? Or does it use other factors to adjust the quality?
Yep. I just completed my first phone to pc video chat. It was awesome. Video quality was great, and IT WAS FROM PHONE TO COMPUTER. just saying. It was awesome. What do you think?

i tried it too and the quality was pretty good, too bad it can only be used on wifi

not to rain on your parade but this has been working for weeks on all GB builds.
Anyway to pull the .apk or gapps from the Atrix?

The program requires you to give your number to add people. But I figure we can make a list of people(DON'T POST YOUR NUMBER lol) who are willing to share numbers through private means haha. So just post if anything and I'll update the list as often as I can.
Those willing to share so far:

Lol it is true. Samsung is trying to compete with BBM but it's hard to get someone to use something if it's not preinstalled.

So the app lets u see when a msg was delivered and when it was read?
They really just need to integrate aim and all those other ones into texting

In a sense yes. Like Kik not necessarily, I can't easily compare and contrast the two against eachother as this feels more instantaneous to me.

And I wouldn't doubt it occurring in the future at all. It would make perfect sense.

lol You already have circles(Whatever googles does for google+) and Facebook Chat/Messenger.
I just want a messaging program that doesn't destroy battery life.
This program has the potential to be widely adopted but iPhone users will go straight to iMessage, BBers will stick to BBM and anyone who is chatting cross platform prior to this will stick to WhatsApp or the other variations. Not to mention that Samsung could make the switch really quick and easy if they make it so you can scan your address book to add buddies or add them via username/PIN. If they release to iPhone and BB quickly as they plan to it has a chance. But really, can ChatOn do anything that I can't already do with Go SMS Pro?
