Next there will be a way to get incoming calls through landlines.

Obvious troll is obvious.

PS. In the rare case you aren't trolling, skype isn't the same as phone service. You should know this already if you spend any time on this site.
The deal was to use the phone on the cellular network rather than the internet.
Just got a Skype update. It now supports video calling for certain phones. I can't remember all that were listed but nexus s and a couple from HTC were there. No mention of the ATRIX. I can't see any options or indications of the feature anywhere in the program and I have no one on my list online to call. If its in the app I assume it should be able to be enabled for the ATRIX with a little tinkering.

THE PATCHED HACK DOES NOT WORK.
it doesn't work on either froyo or GB, has been tested over the last 2 days. it only works on a few samsung and HTC devices, most likely related more to the processor and NEON capabilities of the device, which our phone lacks.

Has anyone figured out a way to get Google+ video chat to work? I'm trying to join a hangout and use voice chat but it wants to install a plugin. Any help would be appreciated.

Hopefully they will just integrate it in instead of leaving it to die. It's virtually the same back end system driving it, no reason to abandon gTalk.

Ok,we're losing track here.. lets get back to the hangout/plugin troubles.
What I dont get is... how is it that Google is the one who makes Android, yet Android doesnt have any plugin for google video/voice.
G+ is still not public. Its closed & invite only still. So maybe theye'r still doing development on it. ..But wouldnt you as the company who invented Android want video/voice in the system natively from the start? Strange that theye'r not thinking like that.
Hey can I get a invite please
[email protected]
To the people requesting invites there's a thread I made with a link to get your invite. Do a search in the general forum.
Back on topic:
I've been trying to figure that out. I'm kind of losing hope on this and I think they will release the capability in ICS.

Hangout video works for me on my wifi xoom.
I can't start a chat, but if I follow an invitation the video chat starts. I wonder why my Bluetooth headset isn't supporter, but this might depend on me...

Just tried it... seems to work pretty good. I don't have a cam on my laptop, so that box was empty, but the video from my xoom seemed rather low quality.
Is there a setting to adjust that? Or does it use other factors to adjust the quality?
I can't wait till we see this on the Vibrant. Check this out!
I honestly do not think their comparable.
Siri still has a + side to it, for example you can ask it something in any way you want to and it will reply, Google Now does not, yet anyways.
Anything else, Google Now has done better so far, organization, information, etc.
Sir I seems more life like but information providing is not that great but with Now you have to say it like you are googling it

I agree. There should be a setting to turn off voice if it already isn't there.
I would just like the information without the phones voice.
Oh come on, you wouldn't use this at all (excluding for actual google searches)?

Is it possible to Deactivate S Voice and use Google Speech commands? I had the voice commands on my HTC evo 3d and it worked leaps and bounds better for my uses. Sure you can't do math but it just worked when sending texts or navigating etc...
Thanks guys.

I see in my Google play store that the voice actions app is installed.it came pre-installed on my phone, but it is not on apps list nor can it be launched from play store. How did you launch that to begin with? Mine seems to be hiding
