"Google Android Hidden Secret Codes" - Vibrant General

Something I came across this morning and thought I'd share. maybe someone will find it useful.
http://www.askvg.com/google-android-hidden-secret-codes/

they took it from our wiki, and our main topic on the main SGS forum
if you have been over to the main forum, you'll have probably seen it

doh! sorry. i've seen people ask about codes in other threads so when i came across i thought i was helping out.
thanks for pointing that out. i'm still pretty new here.

Is there an official name for these types of codes? I think its a great reference.
And I cannot find where they are posted here on XDA. I looked through the Wiki for the GT-I9000 if that what you meant by the 'main' page.

This forum thread sort order

This is off topic in that it has nothing to do with the Wizard, but it is about this particular forum on thie site.
For whatever reason it seems to be sorting by thread name, rather than by last post. All the other forums on the site seem to be sorting by last post. If i click the Last Post heading to make it sort by last post, then leave the forum and come back in, it resets back to sorting by thread name again.
Yes, I am getting exactly the same problem, although only on the Wizard forum!

Android 2.0

I remember a few post for porting Android 2.0. Any word on the development or if it is being continued? I can't seem to find the post anywhere. Just people randomly mentioning 2.0 in topics, search feature doesn't work to well. I wouldn't mind following the development of one of these.
Im sure you will know if/when someone is truely working on it...
How did search "not work too well"?
http://www.google.com/cse?cx=000825..."2.0"&sa=Search&cof=FORID:0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
I'm not stupid, I know how to use the search function. I said it didn't work to well because it didn't provide me with what I was looking for. I found Maxima's Ecliar dump, but never a thread with developer progress.
I never said you were stupid... I just pointed out all the threads I found when I searched. You could narrow down your results to just the dev section if that's what you wanted. But you seemed to have answered your own question.

Your first post implied that I was ignorant for saying, "search did not work to well" and I don't believe I did answer my own question, I stated what I found. Again, I know how to use the search function, I have narrowed down the search to just the Dream Development Section.
As I was saying, I remember seeing a topic on the development process of 2.0, but I could not find it with search, that's why I am asking if anyone knows of a topic or if someone is working on a port.
the eclair dump might be worked on by some devs, but I believe a lot of them are waiting until the official AOSP 2.0 release to start toying around with it so they can avoid legal troubles.

Oh alright, makes since I suppose. hopefully the AOSP will be released soon. I wouldn't mind checking it out. Thanks.

Tmous section?? What happened?

Who deleted it? where are all the resources now? what a waste!....
There is no waste, as you put it. Go here...http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=632 ?
WB
Edit: Nevermind got it
I had the HD2 section bookmarked so I usually don't scroll the main forum page. When I noticed that new forum section missing I immediately went to the main forum and scrolled to find it...found!
I think it is a really great move. It does warrant separation.
thanks I found it already as well before I got the answer sorry though.....

"New posts" for CDMA Hero section only?

Hey-- so, I'm digging the new sub-forums in the way of keeping everything organized, but I find myself having a harder time keeping up with the latest posts now that they are scattered between 4 forums.
The "Today's Posts" link under Quick Links will give me all of the days newest posts-- but it's for the entire XDA forum. Is there a way to see "Today's Posts" or "New Posts" in just the Hero CDMA section?
I tried running an advanced search within just the Hero CDMA section for posts since my last visit, but it needs a keyword in order to run the search.
Since I usually just pop-in to XDA to check if anything new is going on, it's nice to see it all on one page. Can anyone think of a way I could create a search that would give me all the new posts from this section on one screen? Then I can just click that link to check the newest happenings here in Hero CDMA?
Yeah, I am still getting the hang of 4 different sub forums. Well 3 - I could really careless about accessories. But still I kind of liked our big mess. Kind of like when you were a kid and your mom cleaned your rom after it was a huge mess...then you couldn't find anything anymore.

Haha! That's exactly what it's like!
I'm actually getting the hang of finding things when I'm looking for something specific. It's when I'm not looking for something specific and I just want to check in that it becomes an issue. On most forums I visit, I have the "Newest Posts" link bookmarked so I can click it, glance at the new stuff that's going on and see if I'm interested in any of that. But, since this forum is so huge, and since this is the only sub-forum I care about, using the "Today's Posts" link doesn't really work.
I'm just trying to see if anyone knows of a way I could accomplish it....
I figured out a way to do it. I just edited the 'New Posts' link up top to restrict it to just our forums:
This link will do what you're looking for!

Lol

Looking for a particular thread.

I'm looking for a in depth guide/explanation of the various settings for the vibrant GPS that has been posted by a member here that details what each of the settings do. I've been searching to no avail for that particular thread. Would someone be so kind to link it to me if you have it? Thank you
