[Q] Battery Charge Status - Epic 4G General

Hopefully this is a stupidly quick question to answer. In settings-about phone-battery on my wife's evo, it shows the battery charge status. However on the epic, I just have the "Battery use". Anyone know where I can find how much charge I have left? The icon on the notification bar is far from precise.

battery status

Are there any hacks/applications out there that will display the battery level percentage in the native battery display in the tor right of the android screen on the status bar?
I've seen battery apps that display a battery indicatior as a widget, or as an additional item on the status bar.
It just seems redundant to show the same info in multiple places...
Any ideas?
No, it's been asked before.
I think some ROMs and themes used to have it. The problem with it was that it only has like 4 or 5 states, so it would be very inaccurate. For example, the real percentage could be 41%, but it would still you show 60% because the range is 40-60% (not sure if I said it clearly).

Battery percentage does not tally with the status bar's icon

what i mean is, i'll see the battery logo up on the status bar at 75% (3/4 bar) and think that i have ~75% amount of battery usage left.
i'll then check the battery numbers in the settings and my battery is at ~40% lol.
well i'm running a jm5 stock rom, rooted. anyone having that issue?
i'll try to run the battery low till it offs and monitor the values again.
Jup, I also noticed this, but no biggie, I think this is Android standard.
Definitely NOT defective IMHO.
If you feel frustrated by this use this little app: Battery Indicator
ye i'm using that, i was just wondering which numbers are at fault there. lol. oh well. such paradox in my status bar. thanks for the quick reply.

The way I believe it works, and I might have the percentages slightly wrong is, especially the way they get rounded:
Actual/Graph
>79%/100%
50-79%/75%
25-49%/50%
>25%/25%
So, yes, you are always getting a readout that isn't very telling and is a step-gradual reading. The time you have the most information is right around, if/when you see a change. Other than that it can be barely more telling than a sundial .
Wrong info is in the notification bar (graphic battery). I've noticed the change upgrading to JM5 from JG5. Downgrading back to JG5 reverses the situation, which means the change is in framework-res.apk.
It is a change Samsung obviously did on purpose, but I wouldn't know why they settled for the worse...
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
well imma try flashing to jpjg8 after my songs are done transferring. gonna check that firmware out...

Battery Level Indicator won't change when it's charging

CM9 on Semaphore kernel.
Every thing on my phone is working fine. Except my battery level indicator on the status bar stays the same. It just won't rise when my phone is charging.
When I check my battery information it says it's charging and also tells the battery level(currently at 42 as I am charging).
Earlier when I used to put my phone on charge the battery level kept doing the piston movement. It's not doing it any more. And also the level won't change.
It says it's charging but the level indicator doesn't rise or fall.
What might be the problem?
---------------------
Update:
The phone does get charged. And the battery indicator does show at whatever level it is.
But...
The issue here is when I put the phone on charge, the indicator doesn't do the oscillating(piston kinda) movement it does. You know when it does that piston movement when you plug your cell in. That thing isn't working at all. What might be the problem? I rebooted and still the same.
So many views and no replies?
Settings - battery indicator?
Cluttered theme?
Won't hurt to click thanks... (promise)
It is disabled in some roms. You have to enable it in settings.

[Q] Battery is fully charged notification

I searched on google and saw that there are many people asking how to turn off the battery full notification after fully charging their phone. But my problem is that the notification doesn't appear for me when my phone is fully charged.
I used to have it but I'm not sure if it's because I'm using the Zerolemon 3000mAh battery instead of stock. It doesn't notify me when my battery is fully charged anymore.
Is there any way to get it back on?

The reason you don't see it is due to the zerolemon battery, the battery indicator
if using any of the extended batteries are no longer accurate.
If you replace the battery to stock just for testing, you should see the
normal battery full notification if the battery is full.
Good luck!

Any way to remove battery % readout from the AoD

Seeing battery percentages drives me crazy. Is there anyway to remove the battery information or better yet just the % readout?
thanks
I looked everywhere, can't find anything to disable it. In the past hiding the status bar battery percentage hides the AOD one as well, but not this time...
i dont know if this is what your talking about, but try settings, display status bar, then un do the show battery percentage
Bump! I hate seeing the battery percentage every time I glance at my phone.. It makes me obsess about battery life and really distracts me
